  • @olekristor Oddly enough, the ancient greeks spoke of a time before the earth had a moon, not as myth or legend, but as if it was part of their history. Just throwing that out there.

  • @Noise509 where did you hear this? Cause I'm writing a book about such a time and what the Earth would be like and that would be amazing info to have.

  • @keracat Search "Greek time before the moon" on Google. It should be the first one, "The Earth Without the Moon". I find those sort of topics really interesting.

  • @Noise509 if that were true out moon wouldn't be round, but more rugged, like an asteroid, since it is round much like the earth, it formed from a collision with the earth, I remember scientists saying when mars was forming a chunk of it collided with earth, and the moon formed form that

  • @boredomofboredom So you're saying the only reason the moon is round....is because the Earth is round?

Explain why Phobos and Deimos are both non-spherical.

The reason our moon is a sphere is because of its mass, not its origin.

  • @Noise509 no, I worded that wrong, I mean that since both the earth and the moon are round, they formed in the same manner, Phobos and Deimos aren't because they're captured asteroids, and the spherical planets and moons are spheres because they're a bunch of asteroids that collided together through the dust cloud that circled our sun soon after it was formed, and it's a very slow process, even the moon took more time than us humans have had alive to form

  • My godness, this is beautiful. Perfect music for a movie.

  • "He was standing by the Nile, when out of the river there came up seven cows, sleek and fat, and they grazed amog the reeds". Genesis

  • This planet must get some fucked up tides :p

  • Weird how the title fits with the storyline in Rick RIordan's new series 'The Heroes of Olympus' ..

  • You know what it's like to wake up in the middle of the night with a vivid dream? And you know that if you don't have a pencil and pad by the bed, it will be completely gone by the next morning. Sometimes it's important to wake up and stop dreaming. When a really great dream shows up, grab it.

  • A girl on her horse, riding through the barren landscape of a world long forgotten. It is dawn. She closes her eyes as the light breeze whistles through her hair. She sighs. Perfect. The world is at peace, just for a moment. Silence, save the sound of the wind, and the cries of the birds above her.

    Peace at last.

The moment moves on, and she continues with her journey.

  • I got to 2:04, and wished it was 2:00:04...

  • haunting...

  • Very nice!!!!

  • Amazing!

  • i don't think it's possible for TSFH to make a crappy song. every single one i listen to, i thoroughly enjoy

  • wat a happy feeling this song gives u.

  • Pictures like this make me wish this planet had more than one moon.

  • @19lemons93 I agree. If there were more than one moon, I would always sleep under the stars.

  • @19lemons93 Pictures and music like this makes me with that the planet is still 5000 years in the past and not corrupt like it is today.

  • @LatestUpdatesFTW Wish**

  • @LatestUpdatesFTW We didn't have music like this 5000 years in the past.

  • @19lemons93 hahaha or at least a moon with some color

  • @moomoopowa - Awwww c'mon! You don't like the silver rays of reflected light which cast an eerie tint on cloudless night? :P

  • @Redemptor777 eh i guess thats true. but it would be cool to see some other colors

  • @19lemons93 Trust me, if you don't like enormous tidal waves and massive thunderstorms, you're much better off with one moon.

  • @funnyhomeboy1 XD I know. I didn't mean there should *suddenly* be more than one moon--that would be catastrophic. But if earth was much bigger and/or had smaller moons, it would be cool--you know, like nature always had them so it wouldn't go topsy-turvey with crazy waves etc etc.

    The moon affects thunderstorms?

  • @19lemons93

Notable fact: The earth actually used to have two moons, one slightly smaller than the one we have now in addition to the one we know and love, though one time a long long time ago, the moons collided, and what is left of that second moon is now scattered across the current moon's surface.

  • @olekristor So was it before the dinos or something? Because that kind of collision would have some serious catastrophic messes concerning tsunamis and volcanoes etc.

  • @19lemons93

I suspect it was in the earth's youth yes, too bad it didn't survive to this day.

  • @olekristor where did you hear this... I heard we got our moon from another planet colliding with ours?

  • it is beautiful but makes me think terrible sad things like saying goodbye to your children and wife before you leave to battle a great evil come to destroy everything you ever loved and knowing there simply is no coming back.

  • This one makes me think of spending time looking at the night skies in Morrowind. =]

  • @mangaka08 Lol, so true ;3

  • @mangaka08 Not only that the scenery looks very nice!

  • Just imagine a guy, like a knight errant, walking in yellow fields under the sunset, traveling through a nation in war threatened by a great evil.

  • makes me think of the sahara desert, dead, desolate, lonely

  • Heavenly

  • We've heard the old tales of a promised land. And the songs of which to come. But the truth is, our Goddess must be mad. She promised us Paradise. We exist in hell. But we were given a choice. A way out. Unfortunately. . . the way out is through.

    -Vindictus game trailer

(This song was used in one of the many game trailers. Was nice. Search for Vindictus Way out Trailer. Enjoy)

  • It sends shivers down my spine, and tears down my cheeks. It's one of the most wonderful pieces of music I've ever listened to.

  • Oh god... I jizzed in my pants.

  • That woman voice is just....amazing..... makes me sad....

  • Man this one gets the mind turning, doesn't it?

  • Very haunting piece ... seems as there are so many secrets in this little piece of music and the female voice wants to tell them

  • Reminds me of 127 Hours.

  • TSFH FTW!

  • sweet
