  • nice nice nice!

  • I could have shot this better...

  • the guy in the brown jacket is philip seymour hoffman

  • you have a sound issue. You should find a better way to record the voices.

  • agree with date for change... this is shit photography students say..

  • Omg...his brings back memories! Good one.

  • LOL

  • Pmsl

  • Explains me perfectly 2:24

  • @maxandbeyond562... Hey, there's nothing wrong with being a photography student, but someone has to teach those kids how to hold a camera. The guy holding the Hasselblad upside down and the other one jerking his camera after every shot... really? ... And they obviously don't own the Hasselblad, if you own a camera like that and rely on it for your living, you don't have it sitting in the middle of a table while you are having coffee with a friend...just saying.. still a funny video though

  • @dateforChange At what point was the 'Blad being held upside down? You are aware that the "underhand" grip for portrait orientation was as common as the "overhand" grip before motor drives/battery grips took over the world, right? Left-eye-dominant shooters find it much more comfortable. And a 'Blad's just a camera, so why wouldn't it be on the table. Do you bag your working camera every time you take a break?

  • 2:26 Epic

  • iphototjes, if you want to save money and you do care about the results, when just keep buying little box camera you hand when you want you pics. When you want start give a S**T about what your doing, buy you a Digital Camera and read the directions. OR maybe to think your funny, making you little statement.... cause if you don't care why is photo in you name.....

  • To each there own, live and let live. If you are one of those who like photography, but believe film is better then Digital and that it is the way to go to be a true photographer and your willing to keep working that hard and have to take all those steps and having do so much to get you stuff seen. More power to you, if you want to stay doing old- school. The rest of the world will just keep on making easier, faster and more enjoyable. And once of you that will only use basic lens wake F**K up.

  • Never knew there would that much to say on photography. I always just push the button and never have a second thought about it. But then, the results might be shitty as well, who cares?

  • @iphototjes

    troll

  • HAHAHAHA!

  • This is not shit photographers say.. this is shit photography students say... Big difference!

  • @dateforChange

I doubt it... professional photographers and those rich amatures are usually the ones who use Hasselblad digitals or L lens only.

  • @dateforChange exactly

  • To be very honest. I do say a few things in this video.

Its a lesson to us all, to learn the basics of real photography, and do the best with the gear you have. The biggest lesson I need to learn, is shoot more, learn more.

  • Cat photographers. Stupid.

  • Stuff I've never said.

Do real photographers actually talk this way? I don't recall ever having had any conversations remotely sounding like this.

    Annoying as crap.

  • Why do all the people bitch about stuff. It's not funny it's annoying.

  • didn't anyone notice it said 'we could have done this without you' LMAO

  • soft, soft, soft LMAO

  • that's awesome! :P I'm a retoucher and I say all this shit hahaha.

  • 'I used to have a Leica'

Why are you saying this in past tense, WHAT DID YOU DO TO IT?!

  • @JackDagnaIs Ha! I used to have a Leica too. It was stolen.

  • @JackDagnaIs Could have upgraded to a Hasselblad :P

  • i think "shit young photographers say" is more like it.

    very funny :)

  • A real photographer would say minus green. Magenta doesn't actually exist

  • hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • I shoot RAW.

  • @SchneiderStudios

    I only shoot RealRaw(TM)

  • If you are someone who doesn't say at least one of these things from time to time, then you sir are an anus!

  • The worst is when fellow photographers can't talk about anything besides equipment... who gives a rats ass... just get the shot. It's not a frickin megapixel/lens/camera competition. "What kind of camera do you have? Oh well I have a ....!" Who cares!

  • HOW WOULD AVEDON SHOOT THIS?! LMAO

  • Okay, that little jab at B&H got me. Hahahaha

  • Wow...who the hell DP'd this? lol..they suck.

  • too magenta

  • film or digital... what ever catches the moments i dont want to forget, ill use

  • Photoshop= My life<3

  • You cannot be a photographer if you have glasses.

  • but I DO love Lightroom!

  • B&H is always closed more than it's open.

  • Yes Pinhole camera at B&H

  • meh this one is off

  • And if you're a photographer in New England about 10 years ago, "Yeah I know a guy who knows Phil Greenspun." ;-)

  • hahahahahahaha 2:25 made the whole video

  • 2:27 best part

  • i love lightroom!!

  • I can relate to "I won't shoot a wedding" lol

  • I can honestly and proudly say that I have only used the very last sentence. Ha.

  • this is perfect

  • No idea what they're talking about.. But I like photography so oh well lol

  • haha i love this girls voice

  • I really don't see what's so sad about this... It's just like when a skater talks about skating stuff with a fellow skater. Nerdy? maybe. Sad? Not really.

  • My dad is a photographer and has been my whole life. He says so many of these things and he shoots all forms of camera and lens. its funny because he either used to say these things or still does today and they really should of had better photograaphy

  • Hahaha. Gods the fact that I've said this stuff makes me sad. Except the "I love Lightroom" part. Because that's totally true.

  • lol omg..

  • Too freakin funny.... And true all at the same time. LMFAO!!!

And 400/600 mm Lens for a studio shoot?!?!?

    Priceless.

  • @diverwil97

    C'mon that's at most a 300 f4!

  • Rather than lens malfunction on the Hasselblad, The more often problem that I encounter on the H3D-II is always the frigging battery recallibration when you deplete your battery lol

  • friggin hasselblads....

  • we could have done this without you.

  • "I was thinking about starting a project on homeless people" lol, and the constant errors on the Hasselblad

  • whats the Canon model with the 70-200?

  • @87crice It clearly has a grip and the pentaprism hump has no pop up flash so it must be the 5D

  • i haven't said most of these things, BUT i have done @2:27 HAHAHA

  • Thumbs up if you notice "We could have done this without you" at the end of the video.

  • That girl sounds like Kat Dennings

  • "I think we got it... No, WAIT WAIT Just a few more shots... Ok... wait... NO... Ok. Done"

  • i always say, "i think we got it"

  • LOL Not bad guys, check out my version of "Sh*t FAUXtographers Say" on my channel. Thanks!

  • I hate when my hands smell like fix.

  • I say most of these things. I love what I do!!! LOL

  • Shit (anyone with a camera) says

  • I hardly understand anything (with English as a foreign language for me)

  • I love the smell of fixer in the morning...

  • That me

  • i just bought 40 rolls of tri-x lol and i probably say 'i'm saving for a leica' like twice a week and i also unfortunately always have to say 'i only shoot film'

  • 2:23 pretty much sums up my life

  • damn is that a hasselblad.. aha daang, how long did u wait for that thing? aha

  • Brilliant.

  • awesome!

  • I need more holgas... shit photography costs way to fucking much. Anyone else realize they forgot instant, how about a damn instax mini for shits sake.

  • lol... when she was getting all those "artsy" shots of the tree with the Holga!

  • I'm a photographer and this is 100% funny! "I think I might move to video...."

  • The awkward moment when you realise you've said a lot of those things

  • hahahaha...awesome.. ^_^

  • 2:50 "Thanks... We could have done this without you."

  • @mwsource OMFG HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I'm only gonna say one thing about this video... THE DIRECTION OF PHOTOGRAPHY FUCKING SUCK!

  • you know you're a photographer if you have an iphone.

  • film>digital

  • hahahaha quality

  • Sooo if you like anything to do with photography basically you're shit? Got ya.

  • '' Think we got it ''

    epic.

  • @ 2:26 ...lol

  • funny but true lol

  • Triffic. But you forgot "Awesome DOF!" and "love the bokeh!"

  • @CBL593H Especially "I love the bokeh" when there really is none to speak of.

  • Shoot in RAW!

  • I lost track of how many times I've heard someone say they want to do a project on homeless people

  • The 44 dislikes are obviously not photographers.

  • @tealisthenewblack

Either that, or they are FAUXtographers!

  • Yes. B&H and Adorama with all of their holidays. That leaves us with Calumet and all of their stupid inflated prices.

    This is very accurate.

  • "just because you own an expensive camera does not make you a photographer."

  • quite annoying.

  • i say i hate iphone photography and i might switch to nikon

  • 2:25 every photographer has done this x)

  • @NadiaNinjuhh i almost cried when i saw that! i'm ashamed at how often i do that :D

  • Best part: Ahh! B&H again, Rosh Hashanah!

  • the only 2 thing is say are, "i would never shoot weddings" and "i love cs5"

  • :click: Soft :click: Soft :click: Soft :click: Soft

    Sounds allllll too familiar...

  • Hahahaa the end is the best: "We could have done this without you." Lololol

  • 0:38 soft....soft....soft.... ROFL!

  • OMG YES! This is all so true! XD

  • 43 people love digital.

  • Lightroom(:

  • “Way too magenta”. "I love CS5”. “I need to do a gallery show soon”. “My hands smell like fixer”. etc. LOL! I’ve said quite a lot of these!

  • I've said alot of those...

  • Could have been half as long and twice as funny if they didn't repeat everything twice

  • Hate digital?

  • Girl in this videos is awesome : )

  • "Professional" photographers are getting sour that the gap between their ability and the young amateur is quickly closing due to digitalization and more accessible equipment.

  • @MatthewRider1 Equipment and digitalization has nothing to do with professionalism... possibly in modell photography and the likes, but artistic photographers are under the same rules as any other artist, experiance and talent is all its about in the end, the camera can only carry you so far.

  • @NoBuddy89 If that was true... then pro's wouldn't carry the most expensive equipment... in fact, they would laugh at everyone who overpays for "L" glass. Experience means nothing to the real world. Talent means a whole lot, but in the end, the final product is all that matters to the consumer.

There is no criteria for "professional" in the photographic industry. Blame photographers for that one.

  • LOL i said some of that and i heard someone said many of it

  • I was thinking about starting a project on homeless people.

    YES

  • There was like 5 things in that that I've actually heard someone say/have said myself.

  • you should have used a real videographer, this looks like shit. Just Saying.

  • @BerkeleyBuilt

    They're trying video, chillax.

  • "soft" "soft" "soft" "soft" hahahahahahaha

  • mother of god Hasselblad .. O.O

  • This shit just got on Fstoppers you guys are about to get mad views lol great video so tru just syinga

  • lol, so true! but you missed this one: "oh, I hardly ever use photoshop/try to avoid photoshop" or even better: "I prefer to get it right in camera"

  • um..ive never met a single photographer that says any of this shit....

  • @flurbexx agreed clarity is gross

  • You know you like photography if out of every single one of these videos that have been made so far, this is the ONLY one you've watched.

  • It's hilarious that the people who made this all have websites. Photographers.

  • Would your consider this overcast or clouded? Haha

  • Tim Kennedy needs to learn the proper way to hold a camera.

  • Their are people who talk photography and those who do it I,m a self taught street photographer

and I meet these type all the time and when ever I ask to see there pic,s they shy away.

I,v been at it 20 yrs I,m interested what they take not a lecture in kit. I watch television

but I dont want to build one.

  • dumb.

  • Brotographers did it first. Brotographers did it better.

  • Where's the Holga mention? :P

  • gah i've said so much of this :/

  • you know your a photographer if you actually understand everything :P

  • @mnm15243 you're

  • This is hilariously accurate.

  • "Too much magenta" – I hear that ALL the time. ALL the time!

  • Great vid!

  • You use Nikon?

    You use Canon?

    You use Hassy?

    You use Holga?

    Phsha! I only shoot pinholes.

  • 1:55 is hilarious. We all have that photo.

  • It's NOT too magenta. It's too CYAN.

  • you should add to that "eww pentax " and "eww sony"

  • 2:54 says "We could have done this without you."

  • The BH comment is the best!

  • I say all this, but only in my head though .

  • I love the vignette

    Something I'd say hahaha

  • I am not a photography I am better.

  • this is sooo cool :) I so say most things there :D lol... well done guys. And love ur photography in the sites too :)

  • I'm not a photographer, I just like taking pictures.

  • I say none of this

  • I'm not a photographer. I'm an artist.

  • We can fix that in post.

  • I've said like 80% if what it said here at one time or another, shit I'm hurting...... LOL good stuff

  • "I'm going to C-41 slide film." Nope. Cross-process. That's what photographers would say.

  • LML

  • "Ugh, my hands smell like fix."

    I DIED.

  • To real
