  • read chris connellys bio for the heads up[

  • Yeah, I saw that show in in San Diego. Ministry refused to go on before sunset.

  • pretty nice haircut...

  • So amusing that wee little "billjesusgates" decided to troll this reply thread for this video. He's just some wee child desperate for attention. Well, "billjesusgates", you got some attention. Do you feel ALL better now, wee child? :P

  • The snap shots of Paul Barker staring in dissonance at tghe crowd are f*cking with my mind

  • Al is God.

  • i think the best part about Ministry's music (apart from it's well written lyrics and awesome music) is that it makes you want to punch a hole in a wall and very effectively manages to pump you up

  • I saw them play in Seattle in 92' at the Seattle Arena and Chris Cornell sang "So What" then members of Pearl Jam came on and they did Black Sabbath for the anchore. It was really good show.

  • I do not believe that the great Al Jourgensen and company would associate with those snivelling pussies. And..... what the fuck is an "anchore"?

  • isnt that the thing you drop off a boat to keep it in place?

  • thats pretty wild !

  • that must of been at the MSU state fairgrounds one of the best shows ever SP all the way thats my call in it

  • I saw Ministry in a hockey rink w/ Sepultura & Helmut,, Ministry has 5 guitars , 2 drummers & such a backdrop ,, unbelievable how big that pit was ,, I lost my girlfriend for 1/2 hour in it,, wow , that was Gardner Massachusetts, 1991,, i still hear in my dreams

  • terrific song and video

  • ah, the chicago industrial music scene of the 90s! those were the days...

  • I had no idea Chris Connelly did the vox on this song! Rock!

  • not only did he sing them but he wrote them. along with MANY other ministry, etc. songs.

    a lyrical genius, that one.

  • Anyway, it's unbelievable how that guy sings the song exactly like in the album. His voice is demonic.

  • The singer is Al Jourgensen? I can't believe it.

  • Chris Connelly is lead vocals on this particular song but if you look to Alien, on keyboards, he is doing background vocals in unison! Amazing song! Made me fall in love with Ministry/RevCo

  • Chris Connelly is amazing. He now does completely different stuff, but his delivery is as great if not better now. Very talented man. His book is very funny. He has great respect for Paul and Bill, but isn't Al's fan. He was almost kicked out of Ministry btw. Who knows why Al decided to keep him. Smartest move in his life. Without Connelly "Mind..." would never be that great.

  • millions of thanks for uploading, we only had it on a videotape, which was already trashed from too much watching :))))))))))))))

  • damn i love this song! reminds me of good times!!!

  • grande ministry mucha fuerza.

  • respect.

  • My buddy Erik and I moshed at the Austin show at Austin City Music Hall and the Dallas show at Club Clearview and partied with Al and Luke Van Acker at The Ambassador Hotel in Dallas. Awesome experience - like Jimi Hendrix. The live show was just like this video.

  • Interesting that they show Chris C. singing as this looks like a Pigface tour.

  • This is a from a Ministry tour. From the vid 'In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up'.

I fucking love this live version. Even better than the studio one imo.

  • Love the whole In Case live vid. does anyone know if it's been released on dvd?

  • Ministry in the early 1990s was fucking aces.

  • slipknot aint worth the hairy stinky demon asshole they crawled out off Satan himself is embarrased to have them fronting as worshipers .ah ha ha..hail MINISTRY...

  • lol, I saw this band once, loud as fuck!

  • You said it. The first time I saw ministry i decided to get as close as possible to the stage. Biggest mistake of my life. I couldnt hear shit for days.

  • who's slipnot?

  • older music is the best I love this band

  • MINISTRY -----LO MEJORRRRRRRRRRRR

  • all day is rite. awsome

  • i luv the 90's...i never saw this band but i went to a lot of shows and used to hear them between gigs...brings back a lot of cool and funky memories...they still rock

  • It's a Ministry vid, enjoy the vid like it, love it, taste it so on. Stop talking about fucking Slipknot they have there own vids go there.

  • is that chris from the revolting cocks singing.....it sure don't look like al

  • yes that is chris connelly.

  • Very funny billjesusgates. Very funny.

Problem is, you know Ministry are a far superior band to Slipknot. Otherwise, why are you posting comments on a Ministry vid???

Uncle Al has put in his time. When Slipknot were still babies pissing in their little nappies, wearing their little cute "face masks". Sooo scary!!!

So What - one of the best Ministry songs ever. Was a pleasure to watch Al play it the last time in Dublin. R.I.P.

  • i read that ministry broke up because they had a difficult time selling their music. i have an idea to revive the career. ministry can an opening act for Slipknot tours and warm up the crowd for 30 minutes. after that they could open up a booth sell their CDs to the concert goers for $ 2.

  • $ 2 thats it,there worth more than that

  • i can't see ministry selling their CD for more than $ 2..especially to Slipknot fans like me. a good Slipknot t shirt costs $ 25. anyways, if ministry sells more than 50 CDs, they will make $ 100. that should be enough for them to live on for two weeks, until their next gig.

  • A band does not get 100% of profits from a CD. At most a band, all together, gets something like 5-25%, depending on their recording contract. Unless the band produces, records, markets, and sells the CD entirely on their own (which, surprise, Ministry doesn't), they make very little profit. Most profit comes from shows.

  • T-shirts cost $45 at concerts.atleast in new york

  • ewverything in NY is too expensive, cigarettes for $8!? they can suckle my love knuckle

  • who's Slipwhat?

  • you little faggot

  • great song

    hail ministry!

  • so fucken good song..

  • billjesusgates ur a fukin dumbass. slipknot sucks so bad. ministry a honda civic?! Lol!!

  • Your dead wrong billjesusgates asshole!! Ministry is like a Lamborgini and Slipknot is a 1975 Pacer......You dumbass!!

  • i prefer my comment with my bad english :P

  • Well said Bigsillings!! Slipknot would bow to the great Ministry!! Fuck the RNC and McCain!! Jorgenson for President!!

  • i recognise the tune.. isnt this the one they did for the videogame vampire the masquerade - bloodlines ???

  • ^ I mean: REMADE for the game???

  • The fathers of Industrial Metal.

Show your respect and bow, maggots.

  • thank you! one of the greatest post's on youtube!

  • RESPECT! I feel sorry for kids nowadays with nothing truly great to inspire them. This is the real shit here, hey Joey Jordison from Slipknot played drums for them recently, I'm sure he knows what's up. Do your homework, kids! Or stay stupid...

  • Lol> Yeah... these guys were rockin WAY before Slipknot was even a concept. To give away my age... I saw these guys when I was 17 on the Psalm 69 tour... that was about 15 years ago. They had Helmet & Sepultura opening up for them at a place in Lakewood that doesn't even exist anymore. Still one of the best shows I have ever seen. Got my ass kicked! It was awesome

  • Fuckin' right!

    That's angst

  • ministry was out 10 years before slipknot idiot

  • hey retard your band sucks ok.

did you not read the part about the guy saying "yeah or at least there was a vhs way back they prob released it on dvd too "

this song was out long before slipknot was even a band dumbass

  • post a vid. i wanna see if you suck or not.

  • Rip off of Slipknot? Are ya shittin' me?

Ministry (and the all-star cast from this tour in particular) was comprised of DOZENS of people who changed the face of music forever, and bands like Slipknot would probably not exist if it hadn't been for Ministry. In fact, Joey Jordison (#1, as you know him) played drums for Ministry more than 15 years AFTER this footage was taken.

If you've got something to say, do your damn homework before talking out of your ass.

  • Nice trollan' brah.

    Very successful.

  • lmao

  • Show your respect, Mr. Internet tough guy.

If it weren't for these guys, your precious Slipknot most likely wouldn't exist.

  • you cant compare, ministry have nothing to proove they made great stuff since the 80's and slipknot is too brutal for nothing, its like comparing a jeep(slipknot) and a train(ministry), not the same thing. think about it.

  • slipknot? you fucking douche, I should cut you for your comparison. Slipknot is horrible and nothing like this at all. So go comment on their videos and not this one. I can atleast take acid and listen to ministry, slipknot would just ruin it like they have ruined your taste in music.

  • yes its clear you take acid! your comment is stupid and absurd, the comparison didnt came from me, if you cant read shut up.

  • Honest mistake, I too can read, all that I ment was why compare a shit band to ministry also my comment maybe absurd and stupid but so is yours because you obviously knew who I was talking to, not you. So if you like ministry lets agree to the song SO WHAT!!

  • i knew you are talkin to me because im alone to get your comment in my mail you reply to me! :P

anyway i hate slipknot, very boring for me.

i meant ministry have an evolution after 25 years, and they sound awesome.

  • Al Jourgensen is married with a kid. Freud said that people often make fun of the traits in others they most despise in themselves.

  • ZING!

  • you a big authority on ass plugging faggots then, Spike???

  • Actually Ministry was around in the early 80's.

  • ministry > slipknot

  • i wish i could of been at this fucking show. Their set up and this song owns

  • this version could be played today and still sound like new... better than anything now

  • from a mind is a terrible thing to taste, i think

  • yeeh also on "in case you didnt feel like showing up" there was a cd and a dvd released

  • is there a DVD for "in case you didnt feel like showing up"???

  • yeah or at least there was a vhs way back they prob released it on dvd too

  • I know only about the VHS... That's why I'm asking about the DVD. That would really come handy.

  • lol look it up on google :P

  • who is it that sings so what on the disc?

  • Chris Connelly.

  • the drums are fucking insane.. i love it XD

  • who is that singing?

  • Chris Connelly. He was in Revolting Cocks and Murder Inc. He wrote the lyrics to So What, if I'm correct.

  • doesn't look like Connelly to me. Looks more like Al Jourgensen before he grew his hair long

  • You can see Jourgensen at 5:35

  • So wrong. Blind much.

  • what else is there Ministry rules

  • this is music to kill to, fuck yeah!!!

  • "Fuck Art Let's Kill"

Great T shirt. Classic tune as well.

    Be Well.

  • Oh wow I remember borrowing this tape from a buddy and never returning it back in High School, this concert is full of win.

  • If anyone ever heard Ministry's first album they wouldn't believe the garbage they shit out then in comparison to this unadulterated, raw and ingenius industrial poetry.

  • Die!4X Scum sucking depravity debauched! Anal fuck-fest, thrill olympics Savage scourge supply and sanctify So what? so what? Die! die! die! die! Die!4X You said it! Sedatives supplied become laxatives My eyes shit out lies I only kill to know Im alive So what? so what? Die!4X
  • So what, its your problem to learn to live with Destroy us, or make us saints We dont care, its not our fault that we were born too late A screaming headache on the brow of the state Killing time is appropriate To make a mess and fuck all the rest, we say, we say So what? so what? Die!4X Die! Now I know what is right Ill kill them all if I like Im a time bomb inside No one listens to reason, Its too late and Im ready to fight! So what? now Im ready to fight!
  • chemical warfare

  • Sex Pistols wake up!

  • Oh the days where Industrial was so raw...love it, love this vid...sweet shite.

  • After 4 times posting (and probably showing up later, ha ha), I'll try posting in "Post a Video Response", instead of "Reply"

    So

I believe that the shit now is worse than the shit then, and that a lot of the now "good stuff" is a derivative copy of the then good stuff, so I'd question your comment

Which new "pretty cool stuff" are you talking of ?

  • Do some pages swallow messages ? Or do they show up later ?

  • what year was this video filmed?

  • I want this on DVD.

  • Fuck this brings back good memories, SO WHAT!!!!

the 90's fucking rocked!!! it was the beginning of darkness.

  • Going to see them tonight in dublin.....So What? Who cares? I care that's who cares.............

  • That's Chris Connelly. Not Nivek Ogre.

I was there, in 89 at University of Nevada, Reno.

    I was 21. What a show.

  • poor connelly. he became a bar room hack.

  • If only I had been there... I could die happily

  • Looks like a awesome show to me

  • For a little tiny guy he is very scary when he catches your eye....

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I always loved Bill Rieflin's drum solo at the end, always a classic.

  • I don't think a lot of people know that Chris did some of the lead vocals on this album, especially people who are just now finding out about the band. Chris was awesome. "I only kill to know I'm alive."

  • you know, as far as the guitar goes...

  • K, not sure if this has been posted yet, but does "1996" by Manson sound like this song?

  • nope, thats Nivek Ogre of skinny puppy, i can see the resemblance, but no it's not trent!

  • cheers for that, thought i was seeing things! with so many people in and out of the band thought it might just of been.time for glasses i think.

  • Where do you see Al in a suit? From the few brief shots we see of him (5:05), it seems to me he's wearing a cowboy hat and a leather jacket. You realize that's Chris Connelly doing the lead singing, right?

  • One of the loudest bands ever, you will never see Al in a suit again, he cleans up nice.

  • I'm quoting a post by "Grossmiscondust666" from 10 months ago: As far as i can remember the faces its: Connelly - Vocals Paul Barker & Martin Atkins (fuzzy blond) - Drums Al Jourgensen - Backup vocals (in the 5min marks with his white cowboy hat) Nivek Ogre - offstage (fuck art lets kill t shirt) Wikipedia has these members listed for the year this tour was made: Mike Scaccia - Guitar Bill Reiflin - Drums/Programming (not shown) Terry Roberts - Guitar William Tucker - Guitar
  • It's not kids vs. adults. Each generation has tools and non-tools.

"todays kids are so much cooler than we ever were, no lie!"

    Shut-up. Tool.

  • This song is about how young people don't have to take shit from adults, since all the problems in society come from them anyway. The song's angry and nihilistic because Al's whole point is that this isn't anything new, and isn't going to change anytime soon.

  • You ruined it for me.I kept thinking it was about Yogi Bear, letting BooBoo open up his picnic basket...HHAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY BOOOOOOBOOOOOOO! lol

  • adults create the world children live in! and we complain about the kids, what the fuck? i am 39 years old but todays kids are so much cooler than we ever were, no lie!

  • You gotta admit this though, they aren't as stand up as we used to be. Alot more pacifist I mean, but they are pretty cool too. I hope that doesn't hurt them in the long run

  • Yeah. All the Britneys and Christinas, that are leading culture, are sure "much cooler"...

    ?

  • When i was in my youth, the vast majority of those around me were into chart music too ( shit like Duran Duran,Spandau Ballet and the like ).now, i dont know which country you live in, but the kids round here are into some pretty cool stuff ( yes, Ministry included )and for the most part, have a pretty good attitude towards life in general,so, i stand by my original comment.

  • es una vergota Ministry, esta chingon el video

  • This song help get me into rock!

    -black man.

    SO whatttttt!

  • their best song from their best album

  • I saw this tour live in LA !!!

  • DIE!!!!!

  • uno de los grupos que mas me identifico y me marco caudno era yo un puberto!!

  • I once watched this whole Video while Tripping on LSD, man what a trip! great Video if you can find it..

  • I once saw this whole show in ATL rollin my balls off! Fantastic!

  • I was just thinking today, "Fuck this song on acid would be UNREAL."

  • That sounds like the potential for a bad trip, Some doors you should think twice about before opening. And remember, if you think u can fly, start from the ground, not the top of a building lol. Me personally though fukn on cid is where it's at!!!!

  • How old are you?

  • LOL

  • lol aim for the ground and miss!

  • I DID feel like showing up, I missed this show cuz I had surgery 3 days prior to this & couldn't go. My bf at the time went & said it was amazing & the crowd was insane! I was so sad missing this & to add insult to injury, he told me Ogre was there (Fuck Art Let's Kill) who I had a huge crush on. But thanks for uploading this video, I can live vicariously through this. BTW, has anyone here read Chris Connelly's new biography? It's very good & lots of talk about this time in his life.

  • Ah man gutting you couldnt get there. Im reading Connelly's bio at the moment. Its great cause I read about something that happened then watch it online! It kind of gets you into the in jokes that were happening on stage but you didnt get just by watching the video.

  • This is my favorite version of this song.

  • say hello to my little friend asshole, and DIE!!

  • So can anyone guess what movie the yell at

    :41 is from? Pretty easy

  • come on...undeniably the best - where are you...

  • Love this song.

  • If anyone is curious, the sound clips from this song come from an old movie called The Violent Years. It's the speech the judge gives the parents in court at the end. Just FYI (i'm a movie dork as well as a fan)

  • im glad u posted that coz i was listenin to this other day in bed n i were thinkin i wunt mind knowin what film that were from so shit hot mate!

  • just imdb'd n it got 2.4!! thats low as fuck, hah.

  • thanks for the trivia, lifelong ministry fan here from back in the 80s, "now get up, get on your feet!"

  • Best Ministry song ever. Thanks for sharing. Actually I have the tape myself, but thanks anyway.

  • One of my Fav Ministry songs, and a cool vid. Thanks for posting!

  • es una vergota Ministry, esta chingon el video

  • hey its cool..ok?

  • I agree with andrew, parkview you are an idiot,it's completely fine that you don't like indie, but why would you force yourself to listen to it,and then comment in such a way..I too think you are a sexually deprived broke ass idiot..feel free to go back to your (c)Rap so -called music dipshit

  • one of the best live songs ever!!

  • then go and listen to the fun loving two kinds of music you like, country and western...

  • country and western is also cool man :] try hank williams III, bigger stoner then al ;)
