As far as I'm aware, the video was supposed to be different. But when the director saw how the scenes in the cab worked, they took that footage.

yep they dumped the original concept when she broke down and cried in the taxi shot - originally that taxi shot was just going to be a small part of the vid but the director went for the real emotion.

The music is fast to allow it to be slowed down lots, the music playing there is just a guide for the artist to mime to, they shoot it at a really high frames per second rate to allow the dancers to slowed down to make it more dramatic, the music is fast to compensate for this, it also helps with the accuracy and fluidity of the miming.

this was the original idea, this was after the taxi bit. But when she started crying in the car, they decided to use that whole bit, as it was raw emotion that went better with the song.

Yeah, the music was on double speed aswell. They slow it down. It makes the lip synching appear smoother.

It's put into slow motion when the video is edited so the music is the right speed and the video looks better with the slow motion. :D

I think they probably taped it in double time, so when they play the song at its usual tempo she and the dancers will be moving slower...It would make it look as if there is less gravity than usual...and the dancers would be up in the air doing their pirouettes longer and slower. It's likly that it wasn't a shoot for the same video. Its not unheard of to shoot two, even three videos for the same song. But yes i totally agree that after seeing the current video for this song this appears to take the meaning, somewhat less seriously :(. Good song tho :)

i'm glad the director stuck to the car scene for the video. it felt more raw, more emotional and simply candid. i think with all that special dancing and effects would've taken away from the true meaning of the song.

the real warwick avenue video was a mistake. The part where she's singing in the car was supposed to be a snippet in this video, but the director liked it so much he told her to go on with her singing and it became the whole video.

Because the final video would be played in slow motion so they film it like that and then slow everything down so the music is normal speed and the visual is slow... I think
