The first vacuum that doesnt loose suction and is also bagless is the RAINBOW!!.It came out in the 1930's..Haha!! James Dyson's famous line is a LIE!!! Dyson's are dust leakers after a few months.Beware if you have allergies.

idk why people think they suck. i have a dog who sheds a TON and i coudlnt IMAGINE trying to vacuum with a filter one! it would never work! dysons are the only ones who can clean pet fur up well

@zmanifest Just another sucker to pay $500 for a vacuum cleaner. Who in their right mind pays $500 for a vacuum cleaner? You can get a decent Bissel for about 80 or 90 bucks that won't cost you $500 to replace once it stops working. The Dyson vacuums are garbage and they break and spray dust everywhere. The dust compartment won't stay on after about 3 or 4 months of use. My old roommate had one and it was junk.

@CainmosniMirrored I Have an 80 or 90$ Bissell and I don't like it! Mine is the Bissell Cleanveiw II, which means that it should suck everything up but it doesn't, it leaves bits on the floor and in the Carpet, It did a lousy job. So I got out my Dyson DC24 and it immediately cleaned up all of the bits.

It does lose suction if you dont check in the filter above the motor, the secret one that is hard to get out. Yes there is 2 I have seen it for myself. Why did they lie to us about that :p its like they dont want us to see the stuff root cyclone can miss.

@bwillwall That filter is a type of hepa that is like a carbon filter, The first pre moter filter will get most of debree down to 0.3 microns that filter doesn't make it loose suction, The pre moter filter is made a way so it doesn't loost suction and also the cyclones might get a little clogged so that is the only way.

I was sucked [bad pun] into the Dyson trend when I bought my 1st house. I paid £200 for it and it wouldn't get the cat hairs out of my carpets.

Shopped around and got a Bosch. More energy efficient, rated as 5 times the suction power, lightweight, variable power slider and very quiet.

All this for £90! I've used it for 8 years without any problems.

When I see him on TV, I'm reminded of the hypnotist character on 'Little Britain'. 'Look into the eyes, not around the eyes... and you're under'

James Dyson the inventor of nothing! He likes to think of himself as a modern day Hubert Cecil Booth when in reality he is just a devious salesman who tells people that his vacuums have 100% suction 100% of the time...maybe if you clean the filters after every single use. He also loves taking spare part manufacturers to court if they produce better and cheaper replacement spare parts. All in all James Dyson is a very nasty little man and his vacuums are shoddy crap. Buy Miele instead

Dyson is the biggest scam ever 300% over priced

I am a PE and work in aerospace I understand a thing or 2 about air handling and fluid dynamics. I have looked at the Dyson Product it is pure BS. They use the same ubiquitous motors most every other manufacture uses. Any patents Dyson claims would be from the marketing guys not engineering! They are selling snake oil and fashion not performance.

Well there are filters and if you don't clean them the motor will blow, i've seen quite a few DC05s with blown motors

I really like the appearence of these machines and Mr. Dyson has very good ideas, but the problem is the low suction and the fact that cheaper parts are used to make it. If they only costed around $150-$200 brand new, then I wouldn't complain. I just don't see were the $500+ price comes into play.
