I agree with lemmuhj, and what the fuck is the background music playing-clearly not from the band although it sounds faintly familiar, but they seem to be changing the notes. Obviously they didn't have permission to use any of their music. There are a lot better docus online about this brilliant band but this is pure shite!
While The Cure's music seems to be aimed at gothic rock or post-punk or alternative/college rock, could there also be hints of early 1970s progressive/art rock in their sound? I know their contemporaries Siouxsie & the Banshees (for which Robert Smith had twice joined as guitarist, in 1979 and 1982-84) seemed to have elements of prog-rock in their sound.
You people swearing and cursing need to remember that the Cure were all about spreading love, acceptance and understanding for each other. 10.15 on a Saturday Night used metaphors for how love could drip into the kitchen sink of humanity. What would Robert Smith think if he read these comments? Stop and think!
As a Crawley boy, it always interests me that no-one notices the importance of the existential angst inherent in boys who go through their teenage years in a a post-WW2 London satellite New town, with prosperity and social diversity, but a complete absense of heart or soul. You should compare The Cure with Depeche Mode (exactly the same upbringing, but in Basildon - and with an equally devoted hometown following) to see what I mean.
er, i think these people know what there talking about. they talked to the cure before they made this most likely. besides, i read a book about the cure who was writen by robert smith and it sounds pretty much the same.
I know its been a long time since you left this comment but, really I would rather hear from people that are more involved that one "writer" is on several new documentaries and I can not sand listening to him.
What's with this guy with the raspy voice and the funny haircut? Everything he's saying is just out of the books about the Cure. No new info., not even opinions really.
i think the guy in red t shirt was wrong because i love the three imaginary boys album, but y'know his own opinion, i personally dont think it was the best album they did but its still really good because it lets me feel like im in the 70s/80s when im listening to it because i couldnt be alive then :(
I think Parry was a genius & Three Imaginary Boys is one of the most brilliant Albums (after 17 Seconds). It's a pity that Lol stopped playing drums after 82, & although the Cure is a huge success today, their old stuff is way better...
Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de sous-titrage, my english is not so good to understand all of it...
But fan inconditionnelle depuis et pour toujours
VIVE ROBERT SMITH!!!!!
