Although as Angry Aussie mentioned it was probably a bad move putting negative scenes relating to the group of people who could sue you for breach of copyright. That was just asking for trouble.

Didn't have anything that could possibly be used as a weapon, short of beating someone with the pack. He got compensation in late 2009 for it.

i don't know exactly the statue you're talking about that they have a copyright claim on, but i'm assuming it was made at least a hundred years ago. in australia i believe the copyright law is that no art has a copyright standing if its a certain amount of time ago. might be different outside australia

Parents are wondering why school was watching kid. They claim it is to monitor in case of theft. Parents outraged cuz laptop wasn't reported stolen or anything.
Italy's court system in general is totally fucked up. One example that comes to mind is what the Williams F1 team went through after Senna died.

I liken Google having to monitor every video to this. Youtube is a community, and in each community are criminals. The police can't be held responsible for every single criminal that gets away with a crime as they can't monitor/protect everything and everyone. The public can (to an extent) however and the public can report to the police, who then deal with it, just as the online public can report to Google of anything offensive or inappropriate.

there was just a report about schools in US given laptops to students, and there is this spying software on it. So, some kid goes to his house, he was like smoking weed or something and the schoold was monitoring him thorugh the camera on his computer. The prinicipal calls kid's parents and says they saw this. Parents are wondering why school was watching kid. They claim it is to monitor in case of theft. Parents outraged cuz laptop wasn't reported stolen or anything.

Italy's court system in general is totally fucked up. One example that comes to mind is what the Williams F1 team went through after Senna died.
The Italian courts just kept launching case after case after case, trying to charge Williams with manslaughter, when any sane person would have just let it be.
Sorry if it's slightly off topic, but it just sprung to mind when thinking about Italian Courts.

I liken Google having to monitor every video to this. Youtube is a community, and in each community are criminals. The police can't be held responsible for every single criminal that gets away with a crime as they can't monitor/protect everything and everyone. The public can (to an extent) however and the public can report to the police, who then deal with it, just as the online public can report to Google of anything offensive or inappropriate.
Hopefully all I just said made sense.
