  • wall of sound

  • I am surrounded by Aggis who are not being thrown off the bridge.

  • Black Tambourine is reuniting for a couple shows in April in Washington D.C. and Brooklyn. Wish I could go.

  • @missholy1 -- yes, this song IS about aggi from the pastels. apparently pam berry had a (joking, i think) crush on stephen pastel and so she wanted to throw aggi off of a bridge so she and stephen could be together.

  • The one dislike is Aggi Wright.

  • stupid question but...

Is this song about Aggi from The Pastels?

  • I love this song. Thanks for putting it up, and with moving pictures at that.

And here comes the me being an ass part: The phrase "is by far one of the" is completely nonsensical. Please never use it again.

  • thanks

  • Is Aggi Annabelle Wright from the Pastels?

  • @Tmlrob3899 yes

  • tell me why they aren't so damn huge!

  • @ghaand1994 Because the production/mix is abrasive and muddy. I’m not saying they’re bad, but I’m pretty sure that’s why they’re not huge.

  • @youhavegeniusshins - But Rebecca Black and Mariah Carey are also abrasive, and they're fairly huge.

  • @Timmybear I think you may mean their music (muzak?) as a whole is abrasive. Sure they make silly songs that are often very annoying, but the mix and production of that kind of music is generally very smooth and listenable. While I do like this song, I can understand why the production could turn some people off. Anyway, I like this band. Different strokes for different folks.

  • @youhavegeniusshins - No, I literally find them abrasive. I find 'smooth listenable' sounds literally painful. I like feedback and nails on chalkboards - really. I was disappointed when the Jesus and Mary Chain stopped bringing the noise. :)

  • @Timmybear I know what you mean, but you need a little rain before you can enjoy the sunshine. ( pardon the cliche) All the corny radio junk only makes the good stuff sound even better! I agree about TJAMC, too! Just out of curiosity, do you own Metal Machine Music?

  • @youhavegeniusshins - I do have 90 seconds of MMM. That was a little boring. I do have some Throbbing Gristle, though. :) I guess my taste in corny radio junk is more the Shangri-la's, the Supremes, Bananarama and the like. ;)

  • @Timmybear The Shangri-la's and the Supremes aren't corny at all. I enjoy a lot of pop music. Metal Machine Music is goofy crap. Even Reed has admitted it sucked. I've only heard Throbbing Gristle once and it was while I tripping and it scared the shit out of me! I think I'll look up some of their stuff since you brought them up.

  • it seems excessive to toss her in the drink

  • a fantastic track! i'm not necessarily sure that black tambourine is underrated, though!

  • well put.

  • 128/0- Everybody loves this song!!!

  • This song makes me smile = )

  • me gusta con co

  • that was incredible

  • should just get back together and fuck the bullshit!

  • This brings back lots of pleasant memories! I'm surprised to find it here, much less with a nice video. Black Tambourine is one of my favorite bands and is a perfect reflection of a specific moment in Wash DC music.

  • Sounds more like Galaxy 500 to me.

  • They sound more like My Bloody Valentine than TJAMC to me. Great group anyway.

  • First time I heard this song and band. Love their sound! And the video is amazing too.

  • aw these lyrics are so good

  • is this song really about stephen pastel?

  • @sleepyat2am

    I really think it is

  • Can't stop listening to this song since a week !

  • OOOOOOOH this is cool song..

Who are this guys? Well fucking done!

  • this song is GREAT!

  • awesome this band is kinda like the jesus and mary chain and the pastels.....love this its my first time hearing it

  • totally J&MC

  • its so cool that aggi was the bandmate and its aimed at stephen pastel

  • this song is rad. slumberland rawks.

  • old school

  • I see your smile in my memory . . .

  • Best ever!

  • So throw her off the bridge,

Just toss her in the drink

    She's coming in between us

You know the girl I mean

    It's time we were together

It's clear that I'm the one

So throw her off the bridge

We both know it's got to be done

The best. My old band used to cover this, circa 1994. Thanks for putting this up!!
