Really happy this went F2P. I've been playing this game off and on for every expansion since it came out. This is actually making me come back again. I do play SWTOR but I've always loved EQ and EQ2.
Good review. I've been on EQ2 since '05 and joined EQ1 back in '99 (no kidding). While EQ2 no longer has the most amazing engine compared to modern shooters, what SOE does manage to crank out with the current engine is really amazing. The diversity of the zones is substantial and extremely creative. Like any MMO, what makes a game great is the community, and EQ2 rocks in that aspect. Yes, some long-time P2P folks are agitated that EQ2 has gone FP2, but I say bring on more players, and enjoy!
@Heelaburt Its a very polished MMORPG experience with LOADS of content and variation for you to explore. Not so sure about the PVP aspects, but in my mind since its F2P you should for sure try it out!
To answer the question of the day, my first MMO was Everquest Online Adventures! Do you remember that one? It was EQ for the Playstation 2. It came out about the time when the network adapter got released. So many awesome memories from that game for rehashed by watching this episode :)... You actually had to find a spot and grind mobs to level up. I remember the term "training" when you would aggro a bunch of mobs and run towards another group of players and watch them wipe... good times
@MrOdinygg Lol the word training reminds me of Aion at its early stages... my guild was hated for that haha. And I actually remember the name Everquest Online Adventures for the PS2... but other than the name I dont remember it much. Glad the episode brought back memories though!
Chocolateice ftw! Most awesome mage name ever ^.^... keep up the good work Mr. Sharpes. I'm glad I can enjoy my morning coffee and watch a new Level Up episode!

@vicboy129 Yeah but it progressively downloads so you dont have to wait. Which is nice. And that 12 gigs is a TON of content.
