nice work mate. amazing what you can do in south east asia with a bit of cash, in england 80k wouldnt get you a 1 bed flat in a councle estate in s,e,a you can do this.... ill be doing mine soon, cant wait......
I have a condo in Bangkok, and have been thinking of buying a home outside of the city ... but with all the flooding now ... I wouldn't know where to look !
I love your house....wonderful design and beautifully finished.....I too would like to build a house (probably in Nong Khai) with my Thai partner when I retire....at the moment we both live in South Australia but our goal and dream is have a home and life in Isaan Thailand....would love to know how the planning and building went and what are the pitfalls of doing so in Thailand.
Very good looking house! What was the finished cost? And how long did it take to finsh? The small pool adds a really nice touch. I also liked the idea of laying down plastic on the stairs to keep paint and dust from making a mess.
@NightBazaar hi the house and land cost £80,000 i have 1 rai of land it took 9 mouths to do the house and one year to do the garden wicth was done by me & wife & friends when there come over from england it is very hot and i love it here have been here 5 years now and never look back the house is in mae rim 25 min's from chiang mai on motor bike and takes a bit longer if stop for a beer at ever litte bar on the way home
@neemaei84 LOL! Yeah, those beer stops can prolong the time it takes to get home. The house looks great, and 1 rai of land gives some nice elbow room. So costwise, it came to a bit under 4 million baht? It's been quite a while since I've been to the Mae Rim area. Isn't that where loads of flowers are grown? Our daughter and family built a house in Chiang Mai a couple of years ago, and I have friends in the Koolpuntville area. We have a modest house in Saraburi.
Wow congrats very nice house.can I ask you a question if you don't mind. What city or province of Thailand you from. Cos it looks like so peace full in. Your area.
@repsoljed hi thanks the house is in mae rim it is 25min's from chiang mai it is very nice and peace full up here away from the town chiang mai is nice too but like it here there is lot's to do and some nice little bars to have a drink
