One thing that really annoys me about Carrie Ann is that when someone does a lift or their foot is slightly off the ground during a typical dance, she'd taken points away. I really wish they'd change the rules for DWTS so she can't do that anymore. SYTYCD allows lifts in any dance all the time; so why can't DWTS? Lifts help enhance performances.

Once Tony Dovolani got really upset when he and his celeb partner lost points on a dance because of an "illegal" lift.

SYTYCD is not ballroom specified which means that it is not scored and it is not based on ballroom regulations. DWTS is a ballroom reality competition. Therefore the dance HAS to be judged on the content and execution. SYTYCD is "judged" on performance.
