Bowser's Inside Story is definitely my favorite DS game from '09. Still haven't played Chinatown Wars, but it looks good. Black Sigil was kinda fun too.

I played some os those games and they are cool, but... I think you missed Zelda: spirits tracks... I just finished it and it is a good game with a dificult level at the final temples..., I thing it should be in your list....

Thats funny because a few weeks back I was at gamestop. I seen tokyo beatdown and i was sceptical. I went and ask all around about it and no one had even heard of the game. Now that I have seen that I think I will pick it up. That's just one of those things about games sometimes you take a chance on spending money on them and get burned. espcially when stores wont let me get that money back lol. Only one that I did not play and own in your top 5 is Tokyo Beatdown. I really enjoyed Rhythm Paradise, as it was known here and have gone back to it from time to time also. Your No 1 pick is probably my favourite DS game of 2009 if you are counting actual new stuff but besides that, it would be Chrono Trigger DS.

Oh, I didn't know you had Tokyo Beat Down. A similar game I would recommend is Kenka Bancho for the PSP. It was also published by Atlus! It's not a 2D beat 'em up, but it keeps the same idea and the features are a little more in depth. Still very fun!

What are you talking about? The DS has games that have amazing 2D sprites, but the 3D is terrible. And if you think the gameplay on DS games are bad, I think you need to try playing better games. The DS is easily my favorite console this generation. You should try talking to Retrocalypse if you want to find some good DS games.
