@haloguy7771 To be fair they probably don't have any form of government because as Legion states in this conversation, 'we are all Geth', it's very much like the Law of one theory except they are all robots as one collective mind, I don't imagine it would be a Hive Mind concept because they are machines and they don't really have emotion so there's not much point having a one dominative, 'Queen' Geth. Think of the Geth as one giant consciousness in the form of an Artificial Intelligence :)

@haloguy7771 yep Geth all take part and make decisions, it is consensus democracy, crowd sourcing. All geth are equal and resources are shared because there is no need so it is pure communism, especially in the sense that there is no "State" imposing its will, but a government of all working together. So it is pure democracy and pure communism, very similar to what Marx desired even though it was derided by other Leftists at the time (Mutualists,Anarchists and such)

@TheClurican Legion is trying to understand organic life, and as much as he doesn't comprehend it, become like it in some ways. It can't understand that it admires and feels affection for Shepard and the team, but it does, and the affects it invokes in it are well enough for it to not question them. It resembles organic life because it's spent years and much of it's theoretically infinitely growing intellect to immerse itself in it. Introverts like me tend to have weird mannerisms, same thing.

such an amazing game... such an intricate and detailed storyline and sooo many characters rich in background. The Geth have recently taken their place at the top of my list of favorite robots. When I first played ME1 i didn't like it... I thought it was too advanced and felt that everything made no sense because it was so advanced. I had no frame of reference for any of it. But after getting more into it and reading up, I found out how incredible a game it really is!

It's constantly references in ME2 about acquiring technology through another's means being disastrous. Legion says it here, so does Mordin, and we see what happens with the Krogan. The more I play the game, the more I fear my decision at the end to keep the Base :/

I love this scene. When Shepard questions Legion as to why he's using his armor piece, you can clearly hear some sort of inflection in its voice, like it's lying. What do you think (6:12)

@mushdog I don't think Legion is lying, I think Legion has, in his time apart from the Geth collective, developed a unique personality. It is becoming an individual and it either can not understand that, or lacks the ability to explain it.

@iksarguards I think so to; perhaps its multiple programs are slowly evolving into a single personality. Soem of his actions seem to stem from "feelings" it cannot explain (example being using shepard's armor to patch itself up may be a sign of reverence it does not understand).

@mushdog I know this is an old comment, but there is definitely emotional inflection in his voice. It sounds like he is embarrassed to me, he complimented shepherd earlier saying that perhaps they were more alike than he thought. Perhaps he might even admire him a little.
