  • You're funny guy and a good player, but you didn't really show any features of the pedal.

  • lol an EPIC button no it doesnt lol!!!!

  • I really like this guy, be good for a few beers and a laugh I reckon

  • if only his face muscels were as co-ordinated as his hands.. I could have carried on watching. And another thing! We are British! Why does anyone with intelligence want to look or act anything like a typical USA guitar shredding Twat.

  • just bought that thing

    main reason was this vid

but i really have no idea what you meant by "epic button"

  • @DerEchteBold

Helloo.. If you listen carefully, he says he was joking about the epic button.

So having bought the pedal..waddya reckon?

  • @SONGSTICKS

    huh?

think my english's not good enough to understand what you mean

(as it was not good enough to get the joke)

but nevertheless thanks for the hint

  • @DerEchteBold

watch the video again..at 1.15 he says about the epic button, then says "it hasn't really".

I was hoping you'd give me a second opinion of the pedal, as I'm watching one on ebay.

    Cheers

  • @SONGSTICKS

    2nd opinion?

    i think i can't give one

it's just like he says - the sound is vintage

somewhere i read the question "is the pedal versatile"

    i would say no

but what it does is great

it makes even a really dirty sound kinda transparent and i love that

but if you like to handle everything with gain it would be definetily not your choice

  • @SONGSTICKS

i forgot that the many functions he mentions are not that many to me

and also the dip switch settings could be more versatile

and of course it may depend on what stuff you use also

cause with my boss gt 10 and coolpedals dirty devil it can get a bit noisy

but maybe it's not meant to run with such thingys

  • @DerEchteBold

    Thanks for that.

I recently got myself a Boss GT-3 for £65 and I love it to bits.

Makes my laptop slide sound wonderfully crisp and zingy.

The stuff I play is what you might call genrecally challenged !!

Whacky and drifty with a bit of dirt thrown in for good measure.

Thanks again for your opinion on the G-Lab

    Cheers

  • @DerEchteBold I just got one and i can't use it infront of the amp as it's just crazy on the noise front i have to dial it all the eqs back to like -4. I plug it in the loop of my amp and it works fine.

  • what were you playing at 2:55? i know i've heard that before, but forgot the name

  • how versatile is the pedal?

  • How was the pedal connected? Like before the power amp as advised by the manufacturer, or in front of the amp (guitar input)..thnx

  • i love your sound man not just this vid but all of em

  • Standard PRS Ce combination Rite? stock or not that plays amazing

  • Polish gnomes! Yay!

I just got a G-Lab GSC-3; no more gimping around with my feet at gigs!

  • Hi there, fantastic vlideo! I use a Roland JC 120 for it's awsome clean sound, and am thinking of getting the G Lab 206 pedal... to have the best of both worlds (clean and crunch) Do you think this pedal will sound as awsome through the JC120 as it does through the crunch chanel of your orange amp? Cheers dude, keep on rocking!

  • Fantastic sound and playing ..

    keep on rocking!

  • lmao you can still see you dvo glowing friendly on the floor

has all sorts of wonderful miraculous things all hand carved by polish gnomes xD

  • voodoo child baby!!!

    rock on

  • so glad to see you still have a PRS =D

  • he doesnt

  • In this video he does...

  • yes he does. but he dont any more

  • Pretty sure that's a PRS

  • I think he meant the one he was holding at the beginning of the video mate.

  • That thing screams vintage! Now, what to do about my retarded smile that wont leave my face. Hmmmm......

  • MHB400

  • That is like me, I never use any distortion pedals but I have a shitload of them.

  • Hey i have that jimi poster too :P Got it signed by the amp guru himself Jim Marshall, was yours signed too? (might have been there the same day as me :P)

  • Saw the look on your face, you were trying so hard not to make the wah sound with your mouth!

  • Haha, pause it at 5:02!

    TML ROCKS!

  • HAIL THE MONKEY LORD!! HAIL!!

  • Jimi had the same sound with a ukulele...!

    Hope it's a joke...

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the voodile chile crunch blew my mind

  • Your so crazy^ man

  • you are awesome!

  • man you kicked in that Jimi wha and ..blammo---my balls were stuck to the wall! some good old balls to the wall tone there.

and it didn't hurt one bit.

  • OMG. WAFW.

  • WAFW???

  • @RobChappers WHAT A (BLEEPIN) WIN! thats my guess.

  • @RobChappers WAFW = What Awesome Fucking Win

  • how ya doin my lord

  • Wonderful presentation and playing as usual, Chappers, especially liked the vinegar-stroke facial expressions.

Polyphony was not the correct term, but to hear any metal-head use polysyllabic words is always a pleasant surprise, despite the gratuitous use of 'awesome', which made me hang my head in my hands.

It'll be interesting to see how many 'thumbs down' I receive for being a symantic wanker.

  • OOPS! semantic wanker....

  • xcellenty-hendrix tone perfect-fun factor 10-great playing as always I just love playing those 24 fret guitars it makes the upper registers so much easier to play round don't you think.Pedal sounds good especially with the wah. Keep doing what you do monkey lord-respect.

  • WOW! You're an amazing player! You're 1 of my idols! I'll have to by that pedal. Keep rockin'! :P

  • Thanks man, I really appreciate that :-)

  • is your ESP gonna have a floyd Monkey lord?

  • Nahhh.. I am a hard tail kind of guy, you really do not want to hear the Monkey Lord dive bombing for hours..

  • Did i hear some Eric Clapton?

    WOW :D

  • Yesir!

  • you won´t sell your PRS 24 :):) I know it :)

  • It is on Ebay as of tonight!

  • chappers how much did the LTD cost u looks wicked and i like the emgz

  • It was a bargain £600, excellent axe!

  • +500 points for Voodoo Chile! :)

  • Thanks mate, I had to get it good or Eddie would kill me ha ha

  • Damn, I wanna learn those licks at 3.39 - 3.47 :D

  • Voodoo ;Not as lame as someone who makes the same observation 3 times. You obviously have a small penis , and as a 20 year old you are unable to tell the difference between shit and pudding.

  • ps I take it VOODOO is your real name in that case? Is it Nigel Voodoo or Voodoo Evans?

I guess your folks have a sense of humour too

  • Mate your a dickhead leave the chappers out of it yer.....

  • Oh, one more thing:) If you receive your new Horizon, please do a review about the differences between this LTD and the new instrument... I'm really curious how they feel in relation to another.

  • i still think Wednesday is the real star of the show ;)

  • Dont listen to Voodoo778 Rob , love

Ricky the Banjo God (aged 45 ) He is probably a Michael Bolton fan

  • Thanks you god of banjo! I fear Michael Bolton :-)

  • Excellent tone mate, that wicked bend at 7:56 was like a dwarf getting kicked square in the nuts! Not only does this vid demo the jawsomeness of the pedal but once again illustrates the amazing versatility of the Orange amp!! Was your running through the clean or dirty on the amp? And how much gain if on the dirty? Cheers!

  • Hi Mojo, love the dwarf nuts scenario thing! The Rockerverb was set to a very mild crunch on the dirty channel, so I still had a clean tone available :-) The clean channel on a rockerverb does not dirty at all.

  • hi mojo , my mates son is only 5 foot 2 so I kicked him hard in the balls as an experiment but I have to tell you all he did was cry for an hour. So much for science...

  • LOL, poor guy! Chappers must know the secret to kicking a dwarf in the balls! He'll have to make a video to show us the right way! LOL!

  • Indeed mojo Chappers may seem mellow but I know for a fact that he knows many ways to crush your nuts. He is something of a martial artist on the quiet.

  • Ahh Rob, you make me laugh to much. Stop it :D

  • No it doesn't.

  • People like to be humorous, live a little mate.

  • Oh I'm sorry I won't do it any more I promise......

    No really I won't..

Not once will I utter the true name of teh ancient simian deity lord, who's single footstep brings thundererous might down upon his ubiquitous crab foe, whilst his majestic behemoth fist rises up into the air to stike freedom for all those who are sentient!

Or have a sense of humour...

  • Sweet Lord Almighty that sounds amazingly awesome. 5 WIN STAR'S FOR YOU MY GOOD SIR.

  • Thanks Sabrakazama! :-)

  • Dear Rob, Your guitar playing motivates me to get up in the morning. With love, Josh

  • Thanks Josh, Bacon helps me get out of bed! :-)

  • Are you selling anything ??

i need an overdrive pedal for my bass , and maybe a 100+ watts amp

  • Sorry mate, just selling my PRS at the moment :-)

  • Love the Crossroads bit at 2:55!

  • The setting at 6:10 would be good for Voodoo Chile or Izabella.

  • Hey Mr Chappers - some good stuff going on there. I'm back with it now and will soon be locking myself away with guitar, amp and monkeylord lessons. In fact, if I were to dedicate a song to your playing it would go something like this:

    Oh, oobee doo

    I wanna be like you

    I wanna walk like you

    Talk like you, too

    You'll see it's true

    A human like me

Can learn to be monkey too

Apologies for the cheesiness - you get the idea!

  • Mr Price, good to hear from you! I like cheese, especially soft goats cheese!!m I actually coveres that song once...

    never again..

  • WOW!!! If you type in numbers it takes you to that point in the video!!!! Youtube really is very clever :-)

  • 02:00

  • I'm sure it's been remarked upon before, but I'd like to mention how cool it is that you have a Jimi poster next to a Kerry King poster. Two influences that taste great together, so to speak. Cheers!

  • Thanks mate, yeah they are both epic dudes! In very different ways ha ha

  • I just love that spanky response/tone you get out of that pedal.

I'm still trying to dial in a similar tone in Guitar Rig. Any tips?

  • Not sure mate, It's a singole coil thing.. but I'll admit I was surprised at how good the pedal was..

  • Nice laugh at 2:06

  • ps " awesome " you can`t spell yourself

  • Yeah I noticed you spelt it wrong too Rob - missed out the "J" :)

    Cheers for the lesson tonight.

  • humbucked goodness! nice bit of Jimi going on, you took it right into muff teritory!

  • Very nice,Great sound on the jimi, and very nice esp shredd!

    Classic Chappers

  • OH MY GOD....\m/ OD ftw.

  • EPIC!!!

  • Facial expressions are great =).

  • I wonder how this thing compares to my Tonebone Trimode...

  • It owns it, takes it to breakfast and makes it pay the bill.

  • Ouch!

  • ...and how many breakfasts do I have to skip to buy your PRS?:D

  • Well... I'm getting desperate to sell her.. She is on Ebay tonight! Reserve of £1,200

  • Holy mother of Jesus, that's four years' breakfast for me:D Some youtube-friendship allowance?:D
