@ScottishStandard The majority of people in Ulster wish to remain within the United Kingdom. Scottish soldiers have historically played a huge part in protecting the people of Scotland from rebellious and treasonous groups.

If Ulster TV is freed from UK rule and is allowed to support a republic so will the majority of people in Ulster.

@1984ioc The Irish people are content to be represented in the European Parliament which sits in Brussels, Belgium and Strasbourg, France.

I think many in the north of Ireland want to remain politically British and represented in a British parliament for much the same reasons as many in the south of Ireland want to remain politically European and represented in a European parliament.

The only reason there were peace talks was because the British government could no longer afford the effects of multi-billion pound bomb attacks, like Bishopsgate. In this instance, the IRA campaign lead to the peace talks.

We may support a war for a republic but this requires a political strategy too.
