You people let yourself believe that music is Hallal cuz you can't let it go. Prophet Muhammed tolld clearly that it's haram, for example: You heart gets hard and shaitan gets easily in, a person who listen to music or sings is rotten, the ones who listen music in this life will not hear the engchanting music of the Hoeries(paradise woman) and also In the Hereafter there will be poured lead in the ears of the ones who listend to music on earth.

You are so right! This hadith proves that the Duff is halal for women and in weddings. It is not proof music is halal. The comparison between this and musical instruments is incorrect.

It was reported in a saheeh hadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "In my ummah there will be people who allow fornication/adultery (zina), silk, wine and musical instruments [ma'aazif].

Music is sound organised over time, the athan is music, speech is music. To argue "it doesn't make you closer to allah subhana wa t'ala" can be extended to so many things - films for example, TV, Sports - all these things give you a different feeling to studying qur'an? allah hafiz

it really doesn't bring closer to Allah. but that argument is not the proof it's haram. the proof are the many authentic hadiths and the consensus of the Sahabah.The reason is our prophet SAW made it haram, all the other things are additional arguments. Peace!

Halal is clear and what is Haram is clear. between them are things which are doubtful. He who keeps away from those doubtful matters will protect his religion and will be saved. He who approaches them is very near to Haram, like a shepherd wandering his flock near Hima (protected grazing land), who could soon enter the forbidden area, and Allah's protected area is what He has declared forbidden."

Innovations are things that change how we WORSHIP Allah, for example making athan with microphone does not change the act of worship so its ok. But music has been made Haram in the Quran, Hadith and by consensus of all the companions and majority of later scholars. and PEACE!
