I just started learning. I dropped some cash on a 94 Telecaster Deluxe recently. I'm not ready for a big commitment in amps just yet. I was looking at the Fender Vintage Reissue '65 Twin Reverb Guitar Amp but it's a little pricey for me. This may sound like a dumb question, but will the Mustang III be a good amp for a beginner? I'm not savvy yet with the digital stuff. I'm just wondering if you think it might be too complicated for a beginner. The price is right in my range. thanks!
@waao2005 those were from the 2010 batch. due to numerous complaints and returns, it's been addressed and fixed. The "fizz" was noticeable as clean notes "break-up" as they decay. New firmware is also downloadable. I bought the Mustang IV, no problems, No Pedals to buzz, no more lugging countless heads and effects around. The presets are a little Over the top, but Mine is tweaked already, and I've been able to model my Marshall 2203, an ENGL Powerball, and some modern clean tones with no problem
michaelbryant21, it depends what effects you're using, normal gain (american90s my favourite) makes no buzz. It is a great amp, and i have tried alot of amps through the seven years i have played.
@playerslightregular true, but that's what I call a "kiddie" preset. Everything is on, and over-done. If I had that many pedals in a chain on my Marshall, it would be twice as noisy and just as muddy.. It's a compromise, but try gigging a 60 song set with any other single amp. Start with the amp model you want, and build from there. Just like tube amps, the order in which effects are chained matters greatly.
I have a question....I'm flipping back and forth whether I will get the mustang II or III. I'm a house/room player only. I think it's worth the extra money for the screen and better celestion speaker in the III. What concerns me is if it is too much for the house. I know modelling keeps it's tone for the most part regardless of volume but do you need to crank the III a little bit to get it to sound better and get the speaker moving? Thanks.

I've heard there's alot of hum or buzzing coming from this amp on certain presets mainly liquid solo. Is this the case?

@FenderHighway1Guy does it buzz with high gain?
ive heard it buzzing in 3 different videos and my current amp buzzes as well and it would be pointless upgrading if it has the same problems
