yul bryner was the only big hollywood star in the original version. the others were known mainly from television, and "magnificent seven" made their reputations.
by the time of the sequel he was the only one available. mind you, the fact that most of the original characters had been killed might have something to do with it.
@strangefurt64 That movie is in youtube now al caiola used to live in the next town from mine but i never met him i just talked to a guy who said he met patrick macnee when he was in a play watch the pretenders video dont get me wrong its a spoof on the avengers with macnee I met bucky pizzareli who played on loads of records with caiola like runaway by del shannon
@spacepatrolman i have some odd 45s id like to put in here like live and let die by al caiola and theme from run silent run deep by jack plies and his orchestra
Apparently behind all the scenes of the different movie the cast would get together and play poker. If you buy the DVD with the special features you get to see pictures of everybody playing together.
Wow-wee -- I didn't know until now that Warren Oates was in the "Magnificent Seven" pictures. I remember him best as the no-nonsense, take-no-guff-from-anyone (especially Bill Murray) U.S. Army drill instructor in "Stripes". Alas, it's a damn shame he died young -- he suffered a fatal heart attack in April 1982, about ten months after "Stripes" was released to movie theaters.
@allumst ...How long has it been since you have said that word?? I can't remember nyself LOL!! What a magnificent score and a magnificent word, i;m gonna use it often now haha!!
