But know that Techno is not what you think it is, search for Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Umek and other great artists and you'll see it has nothing to do with mainstream and it is not brainless, but i know what you meant, and you where referring to Trance and other subgenres related to the central Europe scene, which is totally commercial and empty, such names as Tiesto should be thrown down the sink.

@skimam man, without the classical trance and techno, we wouldn't have shpongle. not saying it's all wonderful, but not every band in every genre is gonna be awesome. don't close yourself off from possibilities. check into Orbital. their Snivilisation album is amazing, or One Perfect Sunrise off the Blue Album. they single-handed revolutionized the dance movement in England in the early 90's - where Shpongle came from. :)
