  • your list sux

  • 10 greatest songs, no such thing, but nice selection :)

  • Missed UFO - "Too Hot to Handle...!"

  • Johnny's "Hurt" YES

    Stone's Yes

The End, have to disagree: he was getting into his free verse stuff and has rhymes like moon and June. Rainy Day Woman or Honky Tonk are so much more dangerous, erotic, visceral

    Opening of Sgt. Peppers, YES

Dylan, Yes, but one or the other, not two

Hendricks should be Watchtower, I think.

  • Great songs, yes.

  • If you say you know any songs from any video game i will hunt you down and kick your ass.

  • My list would be different, of course, but I won't argue with this one.

  • I agree with the end being better than light my fire. But love her madly is the best. And I know this is a classic rock best songs... but pool shark by sublime is the best drug song ever. Please listen to it and comment back. great song choices though

  • no estoy de acuerdo

  • Eye in the sky...Alan parson's project!

  • Like A Rolling Stone- no contest #1 all time, after it maybe A Day in the Life,Wish you were Here,Satisfaction,American Pie,Free Bird,Imagine,Layla, sweet jane, highway to hell.

  • what is #11??

  • @shoefits9 : The Velvet Underground & Lou Reed.

  • I'm sorry, that was a nonsense-comment.

  • light my fire

    Hurt

    Like a rolling stone

    A day in the lif

  • my choices: 10. Rhythm & Sound w/ Tikiman - Never Tell You 9. Boards of Canada - Amo Bishop Roden 8. Esbjörn Svensson Trio - Seven Days Of Falling 7. Maurizio - M4.5 6. Robert Rich - Hayagriva 5. Der Plan - Zurück In Die Atmosphäre 4. György Ligeti - Atmosphères 3. Jimy Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower 2. Pink Floyd - Echoes 1. Johann Sebastian Bach - Passacaglia & Fuge C Minor (Stokowski's Transcription)
  • I love seeing people's choices in music...and you made some good ones. mine would have like Beginnings by Chicago at like 7, and Sister Morphine replacing Heroine at 11...or maybe I would pick Stonehenge to be my 11.

  • i like your no. 1 pick of lennon's imagine. watching the ramones sing world after satchmo sang world was a treat.

  • how can you leave out Basket Case by green day? really a good list and no 1 pick of lennon' s Imagine. the video had clips t had not viewed before and watching the ramones sing after satchmo was a treat.

  • This is the top 10 shit ever!!!!

  • Number. (I can't Get No) Satisfaction.

  • @dfuge10224 What about that song? It's not that great with the same guitar riff through out the song and very simple lyrics..

  • @Gl0veCompartment Its your choice to like it or not, but the guitar riff is what makes it great, and Imagine is your number one song and his the same piano tune throughout it and simple lyrics so I dont really get your point

  • The title should be "My 10 favorite songs of all time". There cannot be a Universal list of what the best songs are. It's a very personal thing! Anyway.. I must say I LOOOOVE your list!!!!! :*

  • @KimAbelJuliette You're right I know, and thank you. But I honestly think that these people done more with music than other people like Justin Bieber and all of them, like they put more thought into their lyrics and stuff.

  • @Gl0veCompartment well that's for sure! I'm really worried about the path music has taken lately.. what has gone wrong? :S

  • @KimAbelJuliette : I agree with your assessment. Music can be far too much of a subjective theme to take seriously any definitive or authoritative lists, which aim to showcase the 'best of.' That being said, the selection of songs here are excellent and most all of them are universally know; however, there is so so much good music out there that I myself wouldn't dare to compile or conjure such a list.

  • Thanks for answering, yours is a great list, though,,,,,is absolutly subjetive,,,,Peace,,,

  • I can make 100 10 best songs lists and everyone wd agree , theres so many magnificent artists and songs, !!!!!! rock on !!!!

  • @tikizia1981 Uhh compared to the comments I see on here it almost seems no matter what kind of list you make you cant make everyone happy. Its just a fact I've come to accept.

  • Honestly? Imagine in first place? pfff. but hey, the rest of the list i pretty much agree.

  • The real, real list: 1 - Stairway To Heaven(Led), 2 - Layla(Clapton), 3 - Tears In Heaven(Clapton), 4 - Hurt(Johnny Cash), 5 - With or Without You(u2), 6 - Wonderful Tonight(Clapton), 7 - Everlong(Foo Fighters), 8 - Break On Trought(The Doors), 9 - Drive (R.E.M.), 10 - Last Kiss (Pearl Jam)

  • @Marcio227 lol your bias to Clapton/Cream. Get real

  • @Marcio227 foo fighters shouldnt have a song in the top 10000

  • The REAL LIST 1. Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin 2. Hey Jude - The Beatles 3. Cant Get no Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones 4. Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan 5. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen 6. Hotel California - The Eagles 7. A Day in the Life - The Beatles 8. Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd 9. Wont Get Fooled Again - The Who 10. Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen 11. Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix 12. Light My Fire - The Doors 13. Imagine - John Lennon 14. Layla - Eric Clapton
  • Everyone who knows there shit knows Stairway To Heaven is number 1 ALWAYS

  • Bruce ? really ?

  • i dont think so

  • Love and agree ...

  • Velvet Underground "Heroin" is in it's rightful #1 spot. Ask anyone who has ever been through a relationship with that drug. Lou Reed described it like no one else ever could.

  • Where is the one and only Joni Mitchell?

  • wonderfull, somebody will not agree, and so do I but nobody can deny that your list is great.

    Congratulaions!!!!!!!!!

  • like a rolling stone should be #1

  • BBWWWAAAAAAHHHHHHAAAA You fag .Why don`t you label it ----A bleeding heart fag`s 10 Best Song`s of All Time .xx.

  • A vote for YESTERDAY, & AMERICAN PIE! just an opinion!! GREAT list though, WHAT WOULD YOU LEAVE OFF???

  • long story short John Lennon sold his soul to the devil.

  • @ZOMBlondster Yep. Cuz you obviously knew him on a personal level..

  • @ZOMBlondster How exactly?

  • @munnosable That guy is just a John Lennon hater, don't listen to him.

  • WHERE IS QUEEEN????? WHERE IS PINK FLOYDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • @badqual REAAAAD DESCRIIIIPTIONNNNN :)

  • @badqual you are comparing the led zeppline to PINK FLOYD HAHAHAHAH Comfortably numb is the best song ever!

  • ministry capped off a stella career by covering wonderful world. good pick, one thats overlooked all too often

  • Those are pretty good picks, good job. I also agree that The End is better than Light My Fire, I even like L.A. Woman better than Light My Fire. I probably would have used Darkness On The Edge Of Town for The Boss instead. You used some great vid clips but you should have also entered artist and/or band name also for the young un's so they know who half of these people are. The Jimi Hendrix Like A Rolling...was awesome!

  • Well, can't really disagree here. Pretty damn close to the truth. You may be right. I'll keep this in mind. peace

  • @TheBeatNickMan In my opinion.

  • Your love of music is all that's important. How my list would differ from your... does not matter. Rock-on.

  • Please help me: what is the song #7 title? And the singer's name?

I don't know this guy nor the song but I definitely need to know the full song!

  • @LaFeclaz Johnny Cash - Hurt

  • @Gl0veCompartment

Many thanks. This song is a pearl. Saying that I'm 54 and I didn't know this song ... and my daughter (21) does. My shame ....

  • @Gl0veCompartment The original Hurt by Nine Inch Nails is better. More real emotion.

  • meow..

  • A Day in the Life should have been #1. The best song by the world's best band. Hands down. IMO.

  • great tunes - all of 'em... but my list... and everyone else's would be different

  • Hey, everyone has their own opinions on what are the greatest songs of all time, and the uploader has most certainly picked a few of the best! I love Jon English and think "Hollywood Seven" should be up there, but each to their own, and these are his/her's picks, so chill and enjoy hey?

  • Fantastic, i really enjoying listening to these, many thanks :-)

  • Everybody has their own likes and dislikes based on their style, experiences, generation. I wouldn't have any of these as best songs of all time. Well, maybe Born to Run, and maybe Stairway to Heaven. But that's me...and this is somebody else.

  • la numero 10 es la nùmero 1!!!

  • Imagine ? Hahahaha get the fuck outta here. OVERRATED

  • @SilvioManfredDante85 Music is timeless. Just because you are tired of hearing about it doesn't make the value of the song any less. Trust me the song is played out for me too but I still think it's one of the best.

  • @Gl0veCompartment Spot on!

  • C'mon people be positive. Hey, there are alot of Amazing tunes out there, right? Some of them are right here,no? So Ya ! Be positive !!!

  • Some were good... some stunk. And yes; a lot were left out. What about Dream On, Killer Queen, Crazy train, Hey Jude? Yah?!

  • Huh some comments are made of kids under 10......if dont like the list just make your own, so silly to complain others good taste

  • this is a nice compilation. I hate the complaints. I bet you could imagine a bunch more top 10's of all time depending on the mood.

  • Heroin, really, from the most overrated band in the history of Rock and Roll? You lost me there. I'll give you "Hurt" and "Sympathy for the Devil", and perhaps "LIke the Rolling Stone" but the others are overrate. What is your criteria? You can do this without just choosing your pet favorites. "Blowing in the Wind" isn't even the best Dylan song, just the most popular. Popularity does not mean it's a good song.

    PTxS

    PTxS

  • @texshelters I know a ton of dylan songs I could care less about popularity. It is a damn good song and I bet you dont even know the meaning behind it. Who cares if its his most popular theres a damn good reason why.

  • walk on by isaac hayes number 1

  • @texshelters , so what is your favorite Dylan song?

  • I agree that these songs are all wonderful classics, but you can never truly make a real list.

  • @loganarchermusic Yep I know. But you have to admit their are songs that are more meaningful than lets just say "Oh Baby" by Justin Bieber lol

  • WHat a joke! some sad sack tunes left over from the 60s happento be the best of all time? I was really expecting something and some of influence "Blowing in the Wind"? "Imagine"? what a bunch of PUSSY stuff. But there is no accounting for taste.

  • @borddog Uh-oh. Looks like we got a real badass commenting here.

  • @borddog Ah yes "sarcasm the ultimate tool of tje coward." and one who can't defend themself. I'm sure Woodstock was a blast. But the muzzle of a rifle is ultimately what changes things.

  • not really how i would have it but damn, you got some great taste in music man...

  • Not bad But There are Many more that Could have Made The List Pink Floyd for One

  • WOW, very cool list, and diverse. Many of these are my favorites as well. Thanks for posting!

  • it's a good list - good as any - well done!

  • @nbcouch Thank you

  • What about Harry Nilsson's 'Put de Lime in de Coconut"? Love that song. Or "Heros" by David Bowie? How about "Who do you Love" by Quicksilver Messenger Service, huh? What about them ... And what about "Hush" by Deep Purple or "Route66" by Asleep at the Wheel? Or "Whip your Hair Back and Forth" by Jimmy Falon imitating Neil Young ...

  • this guy doesnt know his ass from his elbow

  • Without The Cure ? Without The Clash ?

  • I like the list and think it's pretty good.

  • The BOSS!!!! Got that RIGHT!

  • 10 songs??????? Both title and concept are plain ridiculous. Maybe if youre a very young boy we might forgive that. Otherwise, utter shame!!!

  • @BilisNegra Utter shame for searching 10 greatest songs on your part :)

  • @Gl0veCompartment That was not a search result, but one of the supposedly related videos suggested on the right column. I was actually watching a Neil Young video, if I can remember well.

  • @BilisNegra But yet you still clicked on it to give off criticism. I know there is no such thing as a top 10 list of songs since it is really from different opinions. I only made this to give an idea to my top 10 really.

  • @Gl0veCompartment It's good you realise, yet that's not implied in the title, They are ten awesome classics, or your ten 60's-70's absolute faves, or wathever. Don't get me wrong, those are good songs. It's the statement what seems too simple, or not very well chosen. Specially the "of all time" part does not give an idea of a particular person's taste. Anyway, nevermind that. Your answer was reasonable, so there's no point in any more criticism. Just let's keep on searching for good music ;-)

  • please delete this video...it is an imbarrassment to the music business....im sorry. it lacks everything music stands for.....delete it man....dont be too proud.......no one likes how plain and ordinary you are....just do your part and cancel your account.....make this dissappear

  • this video...is for the simple.....who have the inability to get past the first dimension...please delete this video...you are too proud to have any intelligence. please delete

  • terrible, just terrible

  • LOL "Top 10 songs of all time, for fudgepackers, joe six packs, plain janes, and people with no variety or kuth" that's what this vid should say.

  • @amzingjourney Whatever man your just looking for an argument so go listen to your grand funk railroad and get the fuck off my video

  • @Gl0veCompartment please delete this....it is imbarrassing.....it reveals how simple your brain works....cancel this vid...dont be tooo proud....it's for the simple minded and is horrible...just delete it and save your face...for the sake of the music industry...thanks in advance

  • AHHHH hahahaha...In fact this Vid should read "Top 10 songs of all time FOR DUMMIES" Id hate to see this guy's album collection. YAAAAAAWWWNNN. "Top 10 songs of all time, for average joes, idiots, and tone deaf non musicians" would be more like it

  • Listen man, you know nothing about my credibility. Second...the title of this vis says "THE top 10 songs of all time. I dont care if you mention anything I like. It's the credit that you give yourself that's the big error here. This list is your very basic and simple opinion. It is boring and unimpressive. It should say "The top ten songs of all time, for people with no clue what they are talking about"

  • These guys arent a hair on Grand Funks ass, Grand Funk got threatened by Peter Grant to stop playing on tour...because they blew zeppelin off the stage. And Grand Funk sold out Shea Stadium in days.....took the Beatles 7 months to do that. These songs are not the best.....you're opinions are an imbarrassment to music

  • @amzingjourney Learn to spell embarrassment and maybe you would have more credibility but then again your shooting down another person's opinion with your own which if you had a brain you would know there is no such thing as the best music list if it is based entirely off OPINION. Dont get all butthurt just because I forgot your favorite band here.

  • 1 ))) john i love u

  • I like the Nine inch nails version of "Hurt" better

  • He said Many left out, I know...

  • #1 song from the #1 artist in modern history. agreed.

  • Bob Dylan :)

  • Ramones - Ye-ahh!!!

  • fuckin white boys!

  • 10 - слишком мало

  • No Bob Marley???!!!

  • A couple of vegetarians scored the no. 1 spot.... & the world will live as one

  • @veganath yahh....well he was shot to death 31 years ago.And she is an ignorant bitch. And the world will never live as one, so I'll just call you a dreamer.

  • Should be at least 5 tracks from the Beatles

  • also... i liek other songs before stairway by zepplin, but i tihnk stairway is jsut in soem way this pinacle of music, some masterpeice that is jsut not describible in words...

  • i love the velvet underground... but im sorry... it dosnt make this list

  • Finally, a list like this that I don't completely hate

  • Springstien? you must be from jersey...

  • OPINION should be added to all top song cat.

  • s t h number 1

  • i LOVE IT

  • @MrWakenbake99 Thank you :)

  • Needs some Jethro Tull

  • @cartmammainia Thick as a Brick and Aqualung were awesome!!!

  • for me, Bob Dylan-like a rolling stone in first =)

  • So glad Hurt was in this video!

  • Sorry, but the studio version of Light My Fire is about the greatest of all.

  • khe sahn should be number 1!

  • Fortunate Son, Wish You Were Here well shuda been in der.. nd maybe the man who sold the world.. or purple haze.. haha fuck ders loads.. impossible to pick 10

  • 3 dylan songs *.*

saw him live last week, was great!

  • you considered only the amercan\british singer......is not good for me!

  • I was a happy man before seeing this video ... i feel anguished

  • It's all about taste og music...

  • Comment removed

  • came here first few songs I though umm one or two good here but I know some shit is gonna be number 1. O though wow me and this guy would get into a fight of musical difference but I was wrong we got into the top 10 and the magic began although I'm not really a Dylan fan good list.

  • Good songs but isn't there anything not over 30 years old?

  • People need to start respecting more Led Zepplin songs because Stairway is not their best song

  • @jak67709 I agree man, and this list is old.

  • @jak67709 I prefer Kashmir to Stairway

  • @jak67709 since i've been loving you is my personal favorite

  • Where's Satisfaction, one of the best songs of the stones?

  • @cosmito6 That was such a simple song from them. They have made better, people should actually listen to a variety of their songs and not the one they are most famous for..

  • Man you have really great taste!

  • Pretty good list :).. imagine is a good pick for number one, but so is Earth Song by Michael Jackson

  • Johnny Cash-Hurt.....

  • michael jackson

  • If Imagine's number one its the best list in thw whole world.

  • Way to include the velvet underground listen to that album front and back it will change ur life for the better I swear!!!!

  • you have sych bad taste... 10 greatest? Really?

  • @deathbyaraven Good thing most art is subjective. Saying he has bad taste is just juvenile.

  • In my opinion, the best song was the number 7. "The Doors - The End"

  • @antibiebermovement02 theres better songs then bohemian rhapcity i wouldnt put that in top 10

  • good list, it is really hard to narrow it down to 10...

  • WHERE CAN I FIND THAT FOOTAGE FOR SYMPATHY?!?!?!??!?! i watched it a few years ago and i cant find it anymore

  • @antibiebermovement02 You're right that is an amazing song I left out. This list is old however.

  • @Gl0veCompartment dude some people are disagreeing with this list but i thought you did a great job, johnny cash's hurt is awesome. But thank you so much for putting the end on this list, Jim Morrison is so underrated as a songwriter

  • Louis Armstrong :D

  • omg man r u crazy stairway to heaven 5th?

  • good choice

  • john lennon is the best

  • 2011

  • Partly agree..!!:)!!
