Don't you get eye strain after reading for a certain period of time with the LED display? I like the idea of having multiple books in one device, but the reading for an extended period on an LED it's not very nice for your eyes. What are your thoughts?

@0lemannen physical books suck, you cant integrate video or audio, cant have links in the text, cant search keywords, cant share pages with others on facebook, they are heavy and hard to carry while travelling, and they are expensive and a waste of resources and bad for the environment.

But anyways, I'm not saying E-books are a bad alternativ, in fact they are better at some points, as you said they aremore portable, but I'm just just saying that the physical book will live.

Books don't rone out of battery, don't break if they fall, and if you do tear out a page, you can always stick it back in. Books might be fatter, but they are still smaller most of the time and definitely not much heavier.

Screens will eventually switch to indestructible OLED formats! A large text book weighs a good 5lb! Too many young children have broken their backs carrying school text books! And too many good men have developed severe neck and arm pains from propping up text books to read. This medieval madness must end! Our future is glorious!

@zackzouck- You never know, because of the iPad several other manufacturers have been developing tablets of their own, along with Ebook Readers. I've read 20% more this month than I have last year! It's small, portable, and easy to use. The iPad has everything I need, but I still depend upon my computer for certain things. You never know, you'll be surprised.

Another vlog by someone who is NOT an avid reader - sigh. I got it - the iPad has a niffty ebook software, but have ANYONE sat down for 2-4 hours a day to read a book on the iPad? What was it like? Is the device too heavy and awkward to hold for that long? How comfortable was it to read the iPad on a sofa, bed, in a waiting room? Did the glamour of the niffty software interfere in the reading experience?
