  • This movie was the whole reason I wanted to become an entertainer. I was about 10yrs old when it came out. Great choice my friend!!

  • proud to say that is my uncle

  • @jswarriors320 Whats he doing now!I know Peter Gallagher and we sang these songs together once on the set of The O.C.!

  • I remember this fick. Great picture quality.

  • Paul Land passed away in 2007 at the age of 51...it is confirmed

  • @jasminecorvette Hey 'Jasmine', you've been saying this on a couple of videos... where is your documented proof??? Seems like you & some 'Maria Callandrillo' can't provied proof or get your facts straight. haven't seen ANY proof that Paul Land(Colandrillo) has died. Some girl, calling herself Maria Colandillo, on the IMDB board, claims to be Paul's daughter.. and in 2 separate posts, she claims he passed on Dec 30th 2007, and then on another post claims a date of Dec 31st 2007. Prove it!!!

  • @flowergirl Look little girl or flower girl or whatever you call yourself..Do I need to send you the death certificate? Damn! I don't have to prove nothing to u! Who are you? Members on the movie Spring Break acknowledged his passing and dedicated the DVD release to him and some of the other members that had passed. I'm sure you will say "what does that prove?" *yawn* so to you "he's alive" and the rest of us will go on. I tell you what YOU get him to post on here and I'll believe it! PROVE IT!

  • @jasminecorvette Those same 'Members on the movie Spring Break' haven't seen any proof either... they just beoeiving the same misinformation that's been circulating by you and others who are assuming without proof.

  • Tommy D, here is my luv! Like when I was a kid , like I luv this movie!! Para siempre, which means 4 forever bitch.

  • This is in my top 5 movies of all time ! If you watch this movie and love music, you'll gain a whole new respect for what the old managers (idolmakers) had to do to make their clients stars..

  • u know adrienne zmed ( grease 2 ) would have played tommy d to a tee

  • @causing2muchhavoc OMG!!! I have always thought that same thing! How funny..LOL!

  • This is one terrific movie...I first saw it on CINEMAX (one of the 3 original cable movie channels-HBO, CINEMAX and PRISM-for you younger folks). It is also one of my favorites. I have the Soundtrack on LP and movie on DVD. As for Paul Land being dead, I looked his name up in Archives; they do show a Paul Calandrillo (his real name) passing, but it is a Paul B. Calandrillo who was born in 1916 and passed away in 2003. So far, it looks like he is alive.

  • omg! i loved this movie!!! i was 9 or 10 when it came out... to this day i hate peter gallager(chez-a-ray) cause he made tommy go away! too funny.

  • @ciprinus agreed!

  • @ciprinus Tommy was my favorite too!

  • @ciprinus that is so funny....because i felt the same way about Peter. I love me some tommy

  • I have it on video if you need a copy!!! A friend of mine got me a copy out of New York if you know what I mean.

  • i used to watch this film every day when i was young. it was my all time fav. then some cunt broke into our house and it was in the video recorder when they stole it. I couldnt remember the name of the film. Cant believe i found it hahaha. brings back alot of childhood memories. Tommy was class.

  • Ray Sharkey died in 1993. I cannot confirm that Paul Land died. Wikipedia says his real name is Paul Calandrillo and he runs a construction business in New Jersey. I hope he's still around. He was also in "Wild Orchid" with Mickey R. This movie defined 1981 for me - amazing movie. I have it on DVD. My friends see it and can't believe they never heard of it.

  • He "changed the game", on 'em!

    lol

This movie should be lobbied for a revival, of some sort, maybe an anniversary re- issue- ..ANYTHING! Just re- release this!

  • Add me to the list of fans, and I know there are LOTS! Paul Land was one of the best, and he will be remembered. I am so glad that I got to see him in this wonderful movie!!!

  • Thank you

  • whats the truth on Paul Land

  • Truth about what?

  • Paul Land is my father and yes he did die December 30, 2008.. He was great in this movie and I watch this clip all the time.. He was a great man and he is truly missed

  • if this is true..I AM sooo sorry..this is one of my favorite movies of all time!!! what happened?..he was so young..peace to you..Bill syracuse n.y.

  • As far as I can tell, this isn't true. On IMDB a person claiming to be his daughter has said in one post that he died Dec 30, 2007 and in another post she says Dec 31,2007 and now in this one she says Dec 2008. I'm not buying it. As far as I have been able to determine he is still in construction/roofing in New Jersey.

  • @Danigurl625 Very sorry about your father. He was a great actor. Loved him in Spring Break.

  • So underrated this movie.

  • wen does this movie come on dvd

  • It's already on DVD.

  • This is an absolutely amazing movie. It's a shame that's not as recognized as much as Grease or Rocky Horror Picture Show.

  • This movie is based on Bob Marcucci -- he discovered Frankie Avalon (Ceasare) and Fabian (Tommy Dee). Google Robert Marcucci and go to the site titled lukeford"dot"net profiles/robert_marcucci"dot"htm

  • Does anybody know if the actor Paul Land who played Tommy Dee died? He's from New Jersey and used to be friends with my cousin. They lost touched and he had heard that he died.

  • Nope, Paul Land isn't dead; he currently runs a construction business in New Jersey under his real name Paul Calandrillo.

  • Sorry to say that it is true, i confirmed it with people that know the family. He died of liver disease.

  • omg this is my favorite movie.

Tommy dee is just so hott....lol

  • Awesome!! My dad was the Art Director on this, and I'm an extra in it. I'm in the front row w/a red sweater on, next to the girl in the yello sweater he interviews. I was 12 :) It was so much fun!! I just sentg this to my dad!

  • That is so cool! And this clip is so cool, too! One of my favorite movies!

  • best movie ever.loved it since i was 6.

  • i think i still love tommy dee!
