i'd still like to see a game that has realistic shifting controls AND a clutch system his setup is nice and all but i'd like to see a clutch pedal so that shifting would be like driving your manual trans. down to the store when i see that is the day racing games become whole.

No GTHD (the current free demo) does not have clutch. However what is interesting is that, during braking, the on-screen brake/throttle bar (as seen in GT4), shows that the game blips the throttle (rev matching) as you down shift. I have my fingers crossed hoping that GT5 will support H pattern shifter + clutch.

Cool!! at the time when this video was made, it was pretty much the last time I've played GTHD on my cockpit because I had relocated and connected my PS3 to my HDTV in my living room. I would imagine online ranking scores are much higher now.

I will be building a new cockpit (one that's more movable) when so I will be able to enjoy GT5 Prologue on my HDTV when it's released!

Actually this wheel I am using is the Logitech Driving Force Pro (heavily modified), the Logitech G25 is much newer and the built quality is much better. You wont be disappointed with the G25.

when you play the game on ps3, you can record ur lap, and save it on a SD card or MemoryStick Duo and transfer it to the computer, using the card readers on ur PC, if you don't have it, u can buy the card reader in any comp store.. I never done it, but I think thats one way of doing it..

Update:

I have been playing PC game GTR2 and GT Legend with the Logitech G25 wheel for the past week.

it's not mine but my friend's, and yes I do plan to either modify the current cockpit or build an entirely new cockpit + G25 wheel for GTR2, together with a scratch built gearbox to replace the standard (plasticy) shifter.

The G25 together with full H-pattern/clutch support games like GTR2/GT Legend is amazing, lets hope the next Gran Turismo will support H-pattern/clutch + and realism of GTR2.
