  • That's my last name0.0

  • @redninja2010 there is no hope for christian music. this is far away from christian

  • I can't believe I just sat through that F'ing commercial for this crap quality version of this song. Whoever uploaded this is a pure bastard. He should either get a better quality version or remove the commercial.

  • @redninja2010 What's so bizarre about that is when these guys first came out, I remember listening to them in a Christian bookstore and thinking "Oh, please don't let the secular industry find out about these guys. This is just weird and embarrassing for the Christian music industry". Lo and behold, Sufjan Stevens turns out to be a modern Bob Dylan and people find Danielson Familie, so bad it's good. So weird it's... unlike anything else. Actually, Foster The People almost seems inspired by them

  • @sorenkierkegaard2008 i know when TV on the Radio first came out... they gave props to Danielson Familie. @redninja2010 look up The Listener Project

  • I know someone who sat on his trumpet. They're surprisingly malleable.

  • hey nobody told me about this. i shoulda been on that ship.

  • Hahaha. Epic luls.

  • This song can't be listened to enough.

  • noise....squeaky noise...

  • reppin' RU!

  • this should have more views

  • Yeah, id like to gear it. I can handle it haha. Ya know, i've always found it hilarious/sad/annoying how YouTube dialogue always inevitably turns in to an argument. And, here, I've done the same. I was actually coming back to erase my comment, but you'd already responded. I realized after writing it that I might've been taking you out of context.

Anyways, I've hardly studied philosophy, but I recall a lot of unanswered aesthetics questions. That makes sense to me. Every time I try to pinpo

  • janoski favorite band

  • Cleaver and charming once you get past the oddness. Or maybe the unclassifiable oddness is what makes it clever and charming.

  • Not even kind of religious, but addicted to this song! I personally like the video a lot, i think the blocky art style is cool.

  • danielson & ruins ~ greatest bands of our time!*!*!*!

  • watch?v=uNaoU_39h2Q

  • he shouldve kept looking straight at the camera as each thing came on. some other camera shots would have been nice too

  • @DarrrrenCullllen I think you're missing the point of the video

  • @OpheliaImmortal No I get the point, I'm talking about how it was executed.

  • @DarrrrenCullllen Yeah but the point of the video is that it's supposed to look like a cheap community stage play with a fixed camera so it wouldn't make sense for there to be other camera angles or to have the guy looking straight ahead to look cooler for a music video

  • @OpheliaImmortal it would still look cheap community if he followed common stage presence principles! It wouldn't upset their style... which is awesome!

  • Comment removed

  • @DarrrrenCullllen I agree with you. It's like it's trying too hard to be minimal. If they're going to half-ass the video, why even bother making it?

  • @apollothemighty Why do even bother to comment? Such a great song could hardly care about the video!

  • his body basket

  • As a songwriter myself, i think we should do more to save the killer whale.

  • such a great song indie rocks better than all the mainstream shit we have today aka lady gaga,bieber,tpain...

  • This was used on an ad in Ireland a few years ago.

  • After looking at the lyrics of this song I can truely appreciate the message in his songs/

  • Just saw him in concert last weekend along with Ortolan and Ben+ Vesper in Memphis. By far one of the best shows I've ever been to.

  • IOH my god i love this song!!! i heard this sooooo long ago. someone made me listen to a song by him so i youtube searched him . omg im so excited.

  • :D LoLLLz

  • Genius!

  • Watched documentary last night. on Netflix. Liked it.

  • we all respect your opinion so much more because you're a songwriter; thanks so much.

  • No prob, Bob! :P

  • @akroyd

    hahaha

  • @akroyd You should. A classically trained musician has a much better handle on what is good and what is not, as it pertains to music, than the vulgar masses do. Music is one of the least subjective of all art forms.

  • @apollothemighty you’re a moron.

  • @brianthelion79 Yaaaaay! Flame war! ^o^ "Up yours, dill weed!" See how mature you sound?

  • @apollothemighty I’m sorry, but your “subjective" comment is one of the most arrogant things I’ve ever heard. What does being classically trained have anything to do with rock and roll/pop music?

It doesn’t matter. I’m retired from looking at YouTube comments.

I apologize. You’re right. Immature. No one’s mind is ever changed on YouTube forums. To each his own.

  • @brianthelion79 I apologize for the arrogant tone of my comment. It was addressed toward an earlier commenter who was hostile and rude for no good reason. The argument I made is based on Platonic philosophy, and I think it's cogent, though it's certainly not flawless. I could explain the thought process more thoroughly if you're interested. However, if you'd rather just drop it, which seemed to be the case based on your last comment, then I understand.

  • @apollothemighty Yeah, sure. I’d like to hear it. No hostility, I promise.

  • @apollothemighty, as a songwriter i think the world should pursue alternate forms of energy...

  • @IceKing6604 On twice thought, is your daughter very beautiful? I may be of please to spoon her? I have three hams in the oven next the porcupine for three hundred (US) dollars. Is batch too friendly spy? Will you have by bank account number and credit card number for this much? Please to be of uploading sandwiches to-morrow. Connect Four is kings' game! All is well in Holland!

  • @apollothemighty as a plumber, i can certainly say that is not shit. in fact, it may be the opposite.

  • @awesomemagician You know, I did like this song, but it doesn't really hold up to repeated listens. I actually think now that it's rather contrived.

  • @apollothemighty yeah.. i feel like i could drive around in the car to this song for a while.. but other than that i won't find myself listening to it.

  • word up. the only gospel music i really like!

  • <3U

  • Lolz

  • haha i this is awesome.
