And by far the most reliable way of thinking about our world is "what doesn't show itself doesn't exist". God is one of those, so while we may be wrong being atheists, it's also the rational way of thinking about it. Being rational isn't about being right, but about being right most of the time. Not believing in God is a small mistake, at worst. God would know this too.

As long as people keep repeating that idea, the masses will remain ignorant of recent theories and discoveries. But I'll admit that quite often, I'm also misled by such exaggerated claims.

Science knows a lot about the origins of life. More than you might think.
