Jajajaja Zukerman no hizo nada, solo conto unos chistes un poco de pizzicato algunas notas de principiantes, pero de alguna manera el se merece los aplausos... ¡Bravo!
Wonderful to see these superb artists work together, with the light hearted touch in between the magnificent performances. So amusing and uplifting at the same time. Many thanks for posting. ,Best Wishes.
If you listen to Zukerman playing, you can obviously hear the E string, which a viola does not typically have (5 string viola exception). Also, in the video there are several times where you get to observe Zukerman playing and he obviously plays G note strings on his lowest strings, which should make it obvious to anyone as to what instrument he is playing.
@sarbiewskiego It`s not a question of nationality, imho. Simply sometimes geniuses are born, such Man like Perlman is a present to us. although...сoncerning Jews, they are very very talented people, talented and clever, such is the custom
@Roquefortify Well if you look at 0:18 you can see both the instruments are the same size also I play the vola so... also sorry if I come across as pedantic but I've finished for the summer and have alot of spare time and i have to spend it doing something.

@raoultak There's not really such a thing as "doing the work" because it contributes to the overall quality. (: Think about it, Zukerman is keeping the tempo. He could totally rush Perlman to doom, haha.
I saw this concert in london so many years ago. They were wonderful. The slides... the intonation the expression and techniques are a pure joy to hear and to watch. Perlman is simply one of the greats of our times.
...absolutely phenominal...perlman's clarity is just incredible and zukerman's accompaniment sounds vastly more interesting than the piano accompaniment commonly played with this caprice =D
needless to say, theyre incredible...
Zukerman looks like a musketeer or a conquistador xD

The real reason why Zukerman can't play the hard part is a viola can't go that high. Only if he did harmonics like a crazy bitch.

@Roquefortify but he's not playing viola, he's playing violin.

oh, so wienawski then.... i didn't know he's also a great violinist..... ^_^
