I just watched Persuasion and cannot find the scene at 1:24. Can you tell me when it occurs in the film -or- are there some deleted scenes in this video?
Oh, that's the part when they went to Lyme(after the dinner scene where they toast to the navy) and right before William Elliot shows up for the first time. In my version it comes at about 42 minutes into the movie.
I figured it out! They just broadcast it in the US and I watched the UK version a few months before they broadcast it in the US. The PBS broadcast deleted/shortened several scenes to fit the 90 minute slot plus advertisements and a couple other things. Which explains why I couldn't find the scene at 1:24 a several others. I hope the DVD contains the whole thing uncut!
Fantastic 5 rating. Very inciteful use of the video (besides the obvious scenes, your inclusion of those more momentary but just as impactful scenes made this vid). And yes, great song choice. Keep it up!
