don't use vaseline in it (petroleum jelly) firt starts well but it turns it slow as an old golf car and starts stucking in every turn you do specially if u use fingertricks

Get a glow in the dark DIY cube from cube4you and then lube it with a dimethicone based lubricant such as Eros bodyglide. You will be impressed. Don't try it with other types of plastic, it only works on the plastic that glows in the dark. I'm giving away my secret only because I am retired from competing.

I used Silicone Lubricant. Not "spray".

Steps:

1. Sandpaper, or Grinding stone, anything rough. The point is to "remove and smooth" the plastic. Use your head and think and if it seems to work, do it. Also use your head and try it on some other plastic BEFORE touching your cubes. GOSH!

2. I used Silicone Lubricant. 100%.

Before doing step 2, I assembled the cube and tried it. It was smooth!!

After doing step 2, it works veeery well. :)

Those who fail this, are just dumb. I swear.. piss off.

Silicone spray and jig-a-loo is flammable. I would advise not to use it just use Vaseline. It might harm the plastic inside, but use it for 4 weeks and wash it out. It should be fast even without anything. Thats what I did. It is really fast.
