@5959frankthetank Negative! This unit is used Statewide,so it's not ridiculous overkill.This video here even shows it responding to a town a couple miles over from it's own.This unit is only one part of the county Hazmat team.

@fmartinjr I stand corrected !!!!!! Thanks for explaining to me Detroit here uses a converted rescue squad and they have a Haz Mat trailer which I don't see them use anymore I saw it last week just parked in a parking lot getting dirty . You know thinking rural area alot of farms use alot of chemicals too. Is this volunteer or is it full time.

@Masonhalsey1 I'm not sure on that company's SOP's,but the riding crew is specially trained and there are only a few Qualified drivers for this rig.This was a 2 piece unit until they sold the 1982 Seagrave pumper that ran with this Spartan/Hackney.

Why did the crew not choose to use the federal Q siren? The rig looked to have one I have seen videos where a Q along wiht horns and elctronic sirens really help get people out of the way. If I was on the crew I know I would have. Thank you for the video posting.

Used to I didn't like the EQ2b yelp, or the EQ2b period, but that siren has grown on me. Our EMS trucks have Whelen sirens and an EQ2b, nice sounding combo

This is a volunteer fire company. This unit was provided to us by the state and dnrec. I was actually the driver on this run. The turn wasn't taken fast at all. I am a career truck driver as well as a trainer/instructor with over 300,000 miles accident free. But this is a very nice piece of euipment, I love it! It's a single axle tractor with a 6 man cab and a 44 ft trailer. Gotta love the yelp,it doesn't get attention....it demands it!
