I spent a day with Dee Dee Warwick in Atlantic City NJ in 79 at Caesars Palace where she was appearing. Between each set Dee Dee sat with me & chatted with me & signed all of my LPs/45s I'd brought with me. She invited me to her hotel room to record the records I had brought. She spoke frankly of her career. At one point she looked at me & said "I had it for 5 years & I can have it again".
Originally issued as the flipside to the 1975 Private Stock label 45 GET OUT OF MY LIFE, this "B" side, FUNNY HOW WE CHANGE PLACES was also issued on RCA records as a 45 by "Dee Dee Schwartz." (This song was also issued by Private Stock as the flipside to THIS TIME MAY BE THE LAST TIME by DeDe Warwick).
I have been waiting for this one..One of her best..Released three different times by Dee Dee...Both on RCA and also on Private Stock, and with two different names..Dee Dee Warwick and Dee Dee Schwartz...Promotion failed again for her..The latter being her wanting desperately to be out of the "shadow"
Wich difference from the southern and the northern soul?? This not so clearly for me..

Real smooth. Such a shame Dee Dee was so underrated she should have been a huge star
