The film he was referring to was a James Bond film. In "The Man with the Golden Gun", Bond has to fight a guy in a Martial Arts school. It wasn't Karate because the movie took place in Thailand. At the beginning of the fight, both fighters were supposed to bow to the instructor, then bow to each other.When bowing to each other, Bond's opponent forgot that you should never take your eyes off of you're opponent and Bond kicked him while he was bowing knocking him out.
