  • The song is too low for him hahaha. Rik Emmet has a freakin high voice.

  • muy buena rola que bueno que este gran musico toque a clapton felicidades

  • im sad. some1 msg me on M.S.N.

UR FUNNY!! MSG me on M.S.N. ny

  • READ that music (or lyrics)(or both)!! this is a concert?? charging admission??? holy cow - totaly lame...rik is good, with great history, but the band SUCKS, holy cow - and READING!!!! how about a few REHEARSALS!!??

  • What exactly is wrong with reading music? I'm impressed with this. Rik does a wonderful job paying tribute to Clapton. Stop being so damn critical!

  • i am entitled to my opinion - my comments are not directed at YOU, so dont bother directing any at ME -

I have seen bar-bands do better and mopre-soulful renditions - thats it - why not stick to his OWN music!? (the pay-day and lack-of-demand no doubt)

  • Well hills, Triumph has reunited and it looks like Rik will be doing his own tunes . They already have a couple big festivals booked.

  • yes! which is great! starting with Sweden in June - this is SO hokey compared to that

  • saw rik perform this in port hope a month and a half later was awsome, especially the marriage proposal during the intro,a complete gentleman RIK,bring the machine back to the shwa

  • could the bass- player get any further off the stage, reading the music? hopefully yes - and lamer vocals all around?? poor clapton ...

  • all your comments/critiques for these vids crack me up!

Agree with alot of what your saying-thse are great players though,ie. Paul Delonge on drums

(but the digicam does make them sound like cardboard boxes...) The whole concept is kinda weird. Clapton still doing it himself and all.

  • Thanks - i feel like i am losing my mind that i am the only one who sees this - rabid fans who would support even an ABBA Tribute - and fuel for the fire - you are incorrect about the drummer: that is not the amazing Paul Delong - it is Mike Churchill - bar-band guy - you will find on Rik's MySpace friends list -

  • ...are you sure about drummer? are they twins or what? maybe it's Churchill does Delong.(so to speak ;)

  • Positive - Delong hasnt played with Rik in years (not sure if ever actually, more than subbing in here and there once or twice way back) - actually, they looknothing alike really - tho i can see how youd be fooled in this vid - go to rik's myspace and you will see this drummer in his 'friedns' - just a bar-guy - doesnt touch delong - mike churchill

  • Hills- I stand erected!

    Thanks.

  • It's nostalgia. Nothing wrong with it. I'd freakin' pay big time to hear Rik still singing and playing. God!! It's still Rik. Totally worth it. Of course it's not Triumph in their hey-day. I freakin' don't care. These guys are going to be gone someday. Enjoy 'em while they're still around. Think of it as behind-the-scenes. People would have paid a lot to get to hear Triumph rehearse, to hear Rik play with a Clapton tune. Unbelievable legend. Great artist.

  • nikki - are u drunk? ok - maybe SOME good triumph songs, ok - so uh, lets butcher a whole night of someone ELSEs music - this is pathetic - READ those lyrics rick - and the rest of the band??? evryone BURIED in those music stands!!! isnt this a CONCERT??? didnt people pay good money to see this? brutal - the band at my brothers wedding did a better version - AND they didnt need charts either!!

  • Rik Emmett is the perfect example of being one with your instrument. To say he is gifted is an insult to the word. He is beyond talented.I've had the pleasure of seeing him in the past with Triumph about 10 or 11 times. Amazing singer and artist, thank you Rik for all the music and talent you bring to this world.God bless!

  • Absolutely! Agreed!! 50-something and still going! but THAT is not wht i am talking about -i am talking about how WEAK this is - THIS!! nothing to do with Triumph, his guitar-playing, his great lyrics, his long career - i am saying THIS is lame, and that at should be in a BAR somewhere - not a CONCERT - the band is woefully under-rehearsed, as is rikk on many of the lyrics (reading, clearly - check the other posts of same) - i just think 1 or 2 songs would plenty - clapton aint doing any "emmet"
