Heavens to Hairbrushes! Who knew there were so many spanking images in the classic DC comics of yesteryear? Of course, spanking was VERY common then & not considered as "politically incorrect" as it is today. You're correct. That "Superman punching Lois" panel is the result of tedious Photoshopping after a time-consuming search of many comics trying to find a panel of Lois in a credibly punched pose.
