@tomgreene121 Yes the engine is more efficient and puts the power down better - besides the ZR1 will never have the handling capability or the chassis that the M3 has. It's like putting a GE turbofan on a red ryder wagon.

@binary223 I'm an M3 lover, but the the ZR1 could take the M3 through the twisties. M3 weighs about 400lbs more and has a higher center of gravity. M3 might be easier to handle through curves, but driven correctly, ZR1 has M3's candy...for a price

After all, we're not formula one drivers trying to cut milliseconds off our time getting to the grocery store.. we prefer to have some fun getting there, even if it takes us an extra 10 seconds or so ;-)

We could in theory put the power down more efficiently, but that's not really what we're after.. you're missing the point of driving :-)

@NoSurrender97 I guess it's possible but it seems like it's off to me. I drive an E46 M3 (manual) and my dad has the E92 M3 (DSG). On both those as well as most other high performance- and super- cars, the TC is usually pretty aggressive and doesn't allow that much power to be applied. Cuts throttle pretty instantaneously and doesn't even allow it to rev up.

Anyway, we turn it off because it's fun trying to manage the power ourselves. Test our reaction times, judgements, adjustments, and so on.

This is why I prefer all wheel drive. Too much wheel spin! With this much power, these cars should laying down sub 4 second 0-60 and mid to low 11 sec 1/4 mi times. But all that wheel spin means you're constantly fighting to get the tires to hook up. If I spent all that money to make this much power I damn sure want to be able to put it to good use!

the exhaust is not completely stock, front cats are removed:) Of course a complete titanium line(no front cats and race cats) can improve the hp a little bit, make the car lighter (-23kg) and make the car sound great:)
