@thatguywiththeegg Oh he wasn't a participant in the actual making of the piece. He did however love it enough to cart it around to conventions and show it off at his presentations (Or so I hear) ^_^
@Messiah88 I wish we could of kept it on there, it really added to the whole piece! But, the creator of that portion wished it not be attached to the video anymore.
Wasn't there a couple of epsiodes made for this cartoon spoof series.. I remember hearing about this years ago before youtube was created. I remember hearing that there were a couple of epsiodes made for this spoof series.
Yes, NicholsFilm (a gorilla film club I was a part of, lead by Rodger Nichols) lent their voices for the majority of the piece and individually credited for their work.
The rest of the production was done independently by those listed in the credits.
I wonder if that is the same Rodger that John had introduced me to. IIRC, he was a doctor and we met to play a RPG. John had introduced me to Warhammer FRPG, I introduced him to Star Wars D6 from Mayfair, and I think we met with Rodger to play D&D. Ah, 1991-1993 Georgia was perhaps the best time in my life.
Gosh I can't remember the exact date of it. It was almost a decade ago though! The special showcased our video and some stuff done by my friend John Hudgens. It was about how much the fandom had stirred over Babylon 5 and how popular it was.
I so remember this when this come out in 1998. I loved it then and watching it again (after how many years?) I still love it. Thanks for posting this, truly awesome. Chef is The Great Maker indeed.
Nah the first go around, all proceeds went to charity. ( Patricia Tallman was/is(?) supporting Penny Lane, which we gladly dontated our own sales too as well ) So this time it's free for all!
You'll be proud to know that a friend has loaned us the Seaon1 Box Set of B5, and we're slowly making our way through it! Now I actually GET this clip!
Holy crap, i remember really wanting to get these on vhs or whatever it was but not having a job and being a 15 year old loser (only the age has changed)... Even before this was made I always thought the relationships between the characters in SP and B5 were semi parallel.. But then the same goes for the races in LOTR.. but did LOTR have cartman? i should read lovecraft
Hehe, I remember this too. It was at the peak of my B5 fandom. I had some low quality realplayer stuff of it, real memorable to watch it again. thanks.
I remember seeing this years ago when my buddy John Saye linked it to me. Were you a friend of John's? He said it was put together by friends of his and I think he knew them from GSU.
Memory is fuzzy after a decade, but I love this video still. :) Cheers!
That's awesome to meet a friend of a friend through nontraditional means. John was my first friend in Georgia, met at Dekalb College North. A year later I met Amanda at Georgia State University ('92) and she became my best friend. Finally got them to hook up in October '98 and attended their wedding in 2000. Damn good people! :)
I have never seen this before but I have to say this was a stroke of genius! And the animation is not that bad, its quite watchable actually. Simply Excellent!
As a huge fan of both South Park and Babylon 5, this is awesome.

Could you add in Bester as Scott? He's a dick!

The G'Quan scene would have been funnier, yet G'Quan was a spiritual leader, not a deity.

Please tell me that there is more of this. How did you manage to get the JMS involved with this project? Are you related? Will you have my baby?

@agobelle "How popular it was"?
I think you'll find that Babylon 5 is as popular today, perhaps even more so, than when it finished airing, 10 years ago
