Also...new pads on the way and fresh fluid...Motul RBF600 fluid, StopTech Street Performance pads (all four corners) and new PowerSlot rear slotted rotors in OEM diameter for the rears. I called Stop-Tech and they suggested I NOT increase diameter of rear rotors so as to not upset ABS bias. With the 14" Stop-Tech Big Brakes up front and SS lines on all four corners, the car is well balanced. @Flex99, bring your Honda Civic to the strip or the track and we'll see what you've got, you troll.
@ManInDBox: The car has full Steeda G-Trac Racing Suspension Stages 1 and 2 and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 rubber. It can pull well over 1 lateral G now...Steeda claims 1.3 with racing rubber with my setup - I've seen over one lateral G myself with my iPhone dyno in a parking lot (Dynolicious).
I would have expected more rwhp from this setup. I was promised 490 flywheel Hp and over 100 Hp lost through drivetrain??? That seems like a lot of power loss
beauty car!!! And even if it does have stock brakes(which it doesnt)...just means better get outta the way. I run 562 rwhp and stock brakes. I only get on the throttle when its safe. The car stops just fine. One day if I have a couple extra thousand dollars I might do something about the brakes, but really not worried about it.
@ironmyke696 best bang for your buck would be slotted/cross drilled rotors and hawk pads, that way you get the stopping power without dropping like 3k lol
@ADD8oi I went with Stop-Tech 4-piston brakes up front, slotted rotors, Stainless Steel lines on all four corners, Stop-Tech Street Performance pads, Centric Powerslot rear slotted rotors, and Motul RBF600 brake fluid. The car stops on a dime now. Custom brake cooling intakes and ducts are coming next.
@DiMoraDiamond haha see you went the legit way, i had brembo 6 pistons and 13inch rear slotted/drilled rotors with V6 front brakes and hawk pads on my track car, looked gorgeous, big brakes really finish the look
Love the car man...sucks that the new 5.0's have around the same RWHP without the supercharger. I have an 07 and am debating whether to sell and get a GT500 or just supercharge mine and add the aluminator motor
@jflexe99 you fail. The car has big brakes now, SS lines, and racing fluid. It got them right after the supercharger. And the supercharger has been upgraded to a TVS R2300.
and everyone is just made of money? we can all drop 15k dollars on a car at once? no of course not. so lets put brakes on a stock car? no that makes no sense.. hence the supercharger comes first and brakes come next. you clearly are not a car guy.
@jflexe99 Really dude, the car pulls .95G's in the corners, i mean that means that it handles better then the camaro, the challenger, the G37 Coupe.. i can continue... Hell the Porsche 911 Carrera 4s pulls .98 G's in the corners.. which means that the GT mustang really is only slightly slower in the corners then a car that is designed to whip through these corners... Speaking of stupid..

@JarrodGT I added a TVS supercharger. 512 RWHP now. Those new 5.0's can stare at my tail-lights!

@DiMoraDiamond Wow a lot has changed since I made that post! Now own a 2010 Grabber Blue GT500 roughly 545rwhp. Car is amazing and having a blast!
