  • Interviewer deserves all the awards!

  • Oh man, he was just the best. wish he was still alive.

  • That part when he closed his eyes when he was talking about being in love was cool. He's like, "I can't believe I'm talking about this. Talking this way". I wish i could feel what he was feeling then. R.I.P. Good Guy. Well miss ya.

  • this girl is like, the best interviewer ever

  • @NirvanaNerd364 I agree !!

  • his best interview, in my opinion

  • @samsone94 I really like all of the Come As You Are interviews those are awsum to listen to

  • Hurt Curt Cobain ... Some things in life I will never understand ... despair

  • wow i kinda really wish the audio was matched up......

  • lol kurt calls the ceo's of Sub Pop a "Head Honcho." Meanwhile at this point in time he probably has 100X the net worth of the head honcho!

I love Kurt but thats too funny

  • Its sad to think that ill never be able to meet him. He's gone but his music is still alive and it great to know that he left something behind to remember him by. I just had to be born in late 1999 when music just started to be fake and not really make you feel the same way the 90's grunge made you feel. I hope soon like in another decade or so, that this music will come back again that would change everyone's minds on everything. But I guess thats just another dream from my worthless mind.

  • I wish him to talk us about his sensations, wow kurt, we miss you.

are 17years and 3 days today

  • I wish he could still be here today. I can only imagine what more he could have done for music.

  • Kurt is definitely a beautiful man, and will always be.. And at 4:47 when the camera zoomed in focused his face, damn, i just melt again and again. How i wished he could give me that sexy, longing look!

  • I like Kurt hes a good guy

  • 6:42 King Kurt and Kingdome in one shot.

  • Cant believe he thought he was ugly....

  • 6:37 is golden.

  • I just spent 3 hours drawing Kurt Cobain. I don't know what he'd say to that, but how can I help but admire such an amazing talent? RIP Kurt and Layne.

  • How come none of you mention how BEAUTIFUL HE WAS???? I mean, look at his face!! He was so perfect! His nose, his lips, his blond hair, his blue eyes, this guy could have been a model yet never look gays as most of male models nowadays!!Kurt was a very hot and sexy guy!An fallen angel who died too early!

  • 7:29 "shit, i can't remember" i love you kurt. <3

  • @silvernode Totally in agreement my friend.

  • The name of the Hotel they are filming this at is the Edgewater Hotel, not the Riverfront. It's a famous place, and has some exciting history involving bands like The Beatles and Led Zeppelin staying there.

  • i miss you.

  • wish i did this interview :P

  • I dont know if I am depressed actually, but now I rediscovered Nirvana again to see how Kurt dealt with his problems. I know that I need some serious help but reading the biography and seeing these interviews only wants me to really talk to Kurt and ask him for advice. I feel like he is the only person on earth who understands me and coudl be able to help me. Because he went through similar things I go through concerning music, mates, girlfriends, love for people, hatred and growing up ingeneral

  • @Amy8Rob

He could not make himself happy...You think he'd have advices for someone else? I believe the message he left is not his way to see life, but how much we would miss people like him...

  • Comment removed

  • @Amy8Rob I think you and I are not alone. Thank you for commenting. I'm so intrigued by figures like Kurt Cobain and Heath Ledger, anyone who has died young and generally gone through changes at an unusual rate. I know your pain, I think. It gives me hope and joy to see others who have outgrown their suffering, but who also had to go through unusual troubles. I feel it's an honor to be able to relate to that and identify with it. Love, light, and good luck to you, friend.

  • It seems like every 10 years or so the greatest rockstar dies and some1 else picks up where they left off, starting with the death of jimi hendrix. this time, although there used to be some hope in At the Drive-in and Green Day, after Kurt died, rock as a mainstream reality died with him. RIP

  • A person who genuinely cares is hard to find, especially one with the amount of fame, money, etc. Kurt had. To see him and his personality surface in this video is like meeting him face to face and realizing he's no longer with us is devastating. I can't wrap my head around the whole situation... 9 months after this video something happened. I just hope Kurt is resting in peace.

    Yeshua Bless

  • 6:45 kurt cobain AND the kingdome in one shot. damn nostalgia.

  • much music's Erica Ehm was such a great interviewer and journalist. It was more like her having a conversation with the artist while with the camera rolling in the background. Ever since the Carson Daly days music journalism on T.V has been just a vapid joke

  • I could just melt him looking at me... those penetrating eyes are such a killer.

  • No part 3? why isn't the audio insync with the video itself?

  • as much as he would hate me for saying this

    Dudes a fuckin legend

  • I love how open Kurt is in these Seattle waterfront interviews

  • wtf!!! the voice gos with the video but drift off errrrrrr!

  • You could tell he was a genuine, down to earth, extremely nice guy.

  • Wow, finally an intelligent interviewer. She really asked great questions that I was really interested in hearing the answers. Theres so many stupid interview that this was a nice relief. I love how she asked about the band having power with the mike and using it for their cause. I wish I could see the whole ending but this is the most I 've seen of this so thanks.

  • RIP to the king dome in the background! good mariners memories there

and this is actually the edgewater hotel

  • Don't mourn Kurt's death, celebrate his life. Imagine if the guy would've never graced this earth.

  • @samSGguitarist then wed never of missed him

  • he was quite intelligent

  • He was a great man

  • He looks like a blonde Jesus. :)

  • @grungejunki lol who said jesus woesnt blonde. that might explain alot. i'm just kidding for you religous folks lol.

  • spelling??

  • @Sk8Gibson60 hahahaha thats so true! ah that made me laugh, thats like something kurt would say :P x

  • I'm gonna go against the grain here and say their music wouldn't have been as great. RIP Kurt but I think his death has solidified him and Nirvana as an amazing but short piece of art of the time. Much like Ian Curtis to Joy Division. In his death he created an even greater power to the music.

  • The interviewer totally wants his dick. As do I. He seems so cuddly in this interview. It's probably because there wasn't many people there. He always put up this "I hate attention" front when there were a lot of people around.

  • Always wondered bout what Nirvana's sound would progress into if Kurt hadnt have died, In all honesty as a fan, i think we've all missed out!

  • the interviewer seems really nice

  • favorite interview..i wonder what he would think of the world today...disney and all of that and also the music industry.

  • FUCK i would've loved to hear a new-wave esque nirvana album...r.i.p. great interview..

  • People have so many opinions about how he died but I for one don't care how. I just wish he was still alive.

  • @silvernode yes, but i would disagree, i think he should have the right to have a decent courtcase where things get sorted... injustice hey

  • @silvernode fuck yeah bro, he died and im not sure i was evan biirn yet, but he has had a hudgr impact on sooo many people, i agree but i cant wait to see him in the after life

  • @silvernode this is exactly what kurt probably wants people to think, (who cares how we only know he is).

  • I really wish they didn't film this near a road...

  • Why?

  • I think it's harder to hear what he's saying.

  • this makes me want to create more...

  • well i was paranoia and now i am so happy that is away :-))

  • kurt cobain did not kill himself. the dumbass detectives just didnt want to put very much effort into finding out who did it. screw the police.

i cant even imagine nirvana breakin away from grunge

  • You know I can and I can. I can see why he'd kill himself just as much as I can't. Just because he was depressed for most of his life and a person can only take so much. But at the same time it doesnt make sense.

  • FAIL on two fronts

  • totally agree with you.

  • it weren't a greenhouse dumbass, it was a room above his garage. get it right :)

  • yeah it was but they called it the greenhouse.

  • Kurt did kill himself, watch last 48 hours of Kurt Cobain,he runaway from rehab went down to his greenhouse, drunk a root beer, injected himslef with heroin and shot himslef with a shotgun.

  • I really don't think Kurt killed himself... I really wish he was still here... imagine what Nirvana would have sounded like when they broke away from grunge...

  • really? Imagine to without your friends, your child and your love - wife who was/is a aka punk subculture whore...

alone with your drugs and nobody cares where you are

  • He didn't kill himself. I don't think courtney did either. She did have a 10,000 dollar bounty on his head, however, so...Guess we'll never know the truth.

  • nirvana broke up before kurt killed himself, get it right dumbass.

  • lol, I never heard that one before... how bout you get it right... superfan

  • Actually in a new magazine Dave Grohl admitted they were headed towards a break up

  • I wouldn't even classify Nirvana as grunge, so there really wouldn't be anything for them to break away from, I mean every album sounded different anyway, it's not like were stuck in some rut, and had to coform to any one sound.

  • THANK YOU!hellstrike you are now my father

  • From this interview it looks like He was planning on another album not suicide, but you never no what could happen in a matter of months. He was awesome anyways.

  • great interview. kurt was so humble and down to earth, the most un-rockstar of rockstars.

  • Him and Jimi I would say.

  • @randomguy1774 That was one of his most unique qualities.

  • I don´t listen much to their music. I just like a few songs by them but I´m a big fan of Kurt from listening to his interview. He is smart and has a great personality.

  • really interesting enterview...

  • dude the world fucking loves you RIP :(

  • Lindo, me encanta, por su voz tan hermosa, y porque es muy hermoso.

  • cucaracha retrasado

  • People on the west coast wore flannel because it was/is fucking cold there. No offense, but Kurt didn't start it.

  • good answer... with you on that one!

  • Nice comment, but hey, his name is wroten with K, Kurt, not curt, but Kurt.

  • his name is kurt, with a k, not curt, with a c, but kurt, with a k

  • he loved her he was happy he was in earth he only wanted to be with his family how someone happy can sucide he git BACKSTABED!! damn courtney

  • Is this before in utero?

  • if kurt hadn't died where would he be, what would he be doing and what type of person would her be now? (he'd be in his 40s now btw.)

    suggestions please.

  • nirvana wouldve have faded away with the rest of grunge and kurt wouldve been a forgotten has been..his suicide made him a legend

  • Eh Nirvana were massive and Kurt was proclaimed the spokesperson of his generation BEFORE he died. Their popularity may have waned, but he was already a legend.

  • go watch About A Son, he explained what he wanted to do, but its only for you to hear :)

  • Well, only God knows. But the biggest obstacle in his life was being addicted to heroin. And speaking from experience, he would have to have gotten clean to have lived in to his 40's, because the risk of od'n is a mighty big one, & then again, after gettin clean, unfortunately 90% of recoverin addicts relapse at some point. Also, havin unlimited access to hard cash wouldn't help on his road to recovery. But one thing we would be sure of, he'd still be creatin great & timeless music!

  • he chose that die to die to say kurt should have lived disgraces him and his choice to be in the 27 club

  • Kurt Cobain speaking with the Kingdome in the background.

If that doesn't scream "1993" I don't know what does

  • Comment removed

  • he's really down to earth and real. i say i don't know a lot then turn around and answer more thoroughly. he was shy anyway, so try to understand that he felt socially alienated and misunderstood. the way he was makes perfect sense to me. there's a few biographies about his life out there, maybe read that before spending all of this time watching videos, that really don't go into why or how. it's interesting to listen to his views but why judge him? god has already done that. who are you?

  • i love this interveiw.i like wen kurt says i always been a nice guy and then he says u never met me before.wen he says that i feel a sense of honesty and real deep thoughts

  • and even though we might get old

the eyes of human running towards

is suicide the 'fake gate?' or just a way of nostalgia.

we grow and we start to 'lose it'

but do we really lose it?

or did we just 'got stuck on death'

    R.I.P- Kurt Donald Cobain.

    F.Sotomayor/ 2009

  • I think what makes this interview so enjoyable is that the interviewer doesn't seem:

    A) star-struck or

    B) Doesn't ask compromising questions she knows Kurt would see as a "stupid question".

I think they both respected each other which I find great. We see here that Kurt wasn't such an angry, pissed-off punk rock star, but a human being, fuck.

Great interview, I really liked it.

  • thats exactly what i was thinking

  • she wants him! lol

  • wheres the thrird part

  • People need to realize that everyone feels a certain way about something, such as this video. Too many people are looking way into this man and reading into it, the exact same way that he said in part one that people do. Even to this day that happens.

  • offcourse people would do that! we're not meant to just be idots and ignorant about everything. if someone shots themself in the head you're gonna wonder why and therefor study the person and if there are poems, lyrics etc the person has written then you study them too, Because It's intresting

  • This is so interesting. Is it terrible that I find his ideals incredibly insightful and true? He's so sincere in this interview. I wish I could see the rest.

  • Why should it be terrible? It just shows the lack of honesty in the media that forces us to do this, buy that etc. I think Nirvana's honesty, more than their music, was what made them so refreshing.

  • ahh... I think I meant that as a rhetorical. Plus, terrible wasn't exactly the best word. But nonetheless, I wish there was more to the interview.

  • o koolness.

  • omg that was the same thing wrong with me like at 0:30@!!!! holy crap!!!

  • me too

  • r u serious

  • yep

    dead serious

its basicaly y im angry al the time

  • me 2-- n i was like angry n depressed all the time and eventually all of my friends left me cuz i was always saying i hate my life and i wish i didnt exist, n everyone started to hate me, so i was like ok, this blows goats. but there were like one or two friends that stuck around....so yeaa.

  • i was always upset and moody around my frends but day wer al concerned and stuff. im still searchin 4 the one lol.

and most of my frends are gud lukin

most of my frends are girls so i feel very conflicted at times and stuff lol

  • lol

most of my friends r guys :D lol

ther pretty funny, but they dont really understand, so yea.

  • wel im a dood so i find it easy to talk to my frends about stuff

and one of my dood frends is bisexual so i can talk to him and stuff

  • fucking emos

  • so wut if we are emo, it doesnt make any difference between you and me. depression is much more than being emo, and you should look into that.

  • there is a difference between depression and attention seeking

  • there you go again

  • i dont mean to be!!! sry, i am not a great person to be around. trust me, i dont wanna be emo. i just turned out this way, and its just modern day classifaction of it. trust me, in the 90s, you'd just be normal.

  • im sorry i dont recall asking how great of a person you are to be around or anything else you just told me

    you want more friends?

dont talk about yourself so much

  • maybe i want to be alone. did i ask YOU?

  • This guy wasn't as bad as the media made him out to be. Just look at him. Would he really hurt you?

  • Lol this guy was the best! I love him so much, he was so humble and beautiful and talented and hilarious! The world misses you Kurt! I hope you are happier wherever you are. :)

  • Great interview of Kurt just talking and hanging out by the Seattle waterfront. Thanks for this!

    Cheers

  • Could you imagine Kurt breakdancing.

  • haha

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA omy flippin god great thought in my head you just made my....YEAR! i will laugh about that my entire life holy hell THNAK YOU

  • Seems like a cool guy...not full of himself, but acknowledged his status. Classy dood.

  • kurt was so nice and sensitive :(

    rip dude

  • KUrt Cobain Était le plus intense et le plus courageux de la gagne Écouté sa music merde! Risquez votre vie seulement 10 % comme il le faisait et vous comprendriez peut-être comment le system veux vous assassiné!

    Your death will be avenged!

  • Kurt Cobain is one human beings the most intense!learn about his COurage! IT is necessary utopic to believe in the suicide!theory risk your life only10 % like he (did) (it) and maybe you will understand(include) how much human being wants to kill you!

YOU ...lil human You think you are secure!!! ..wake Up

  • Kurt Cobain I want to make love to you. I worship your persona and I want to be your physical.

  • Blllllllechhhh. Neon Vomit.

  • He was a good person. I think some artists are thinkers and contemplaters, then somehow people start labeling them as loners or self isolating people. When really they just see things differently, which can be a great thing. Thanks for posting this. It nice to see and hear him. I miss him alot.

  • OMG 0:30 - 1:15

YES! truest thing! its happened to me. i know where he's coming from there.

  • He's talking about Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting (F.A.I.R).

  • In the days now its 15 years ago since Kurt Cobain was found.

But his music is still very alive today as it where back then!

  • it is amazing stuff like this survives. I was basically a pre-teen when nirvana was around. And what little of the band I got to see came from MTV, the only source available to me at the time. At 28 i still am facinated. I've seen this interview before, not as uncut as this. I'll end on an obvious point..kids, stay alive. The people that really get hurt are the people left behind. I'll never forget this week of april 4-8th..it still hurts, but clips like this ease the void

  • He was an artist/sculptist in his spare time, and a damn good one at that. He coulda quick rock n roll and painted for a living.... He just shouldn't have done that, I know that is the understatement of the 90's, but he shoulda just stuck around. He didnt overdose on drugs on accident like alot of musicians, he chose to end his life by his own hands. He should have stayed.

  • we dont know that...i know that has been said so many times before..but there is evidence both ways..we just dont know, so i dont like it when people act like they were there and they know what happened. non of us do. period.

  • he seemed like a great guy. i don't know how he was suicidal.

  • what's crazy, is if he could say and sing his ideas straight out, people would still misinterpret so much of what was obviously just what it was. The human mind still wants to claim all things as it's own! Love you, Kurt

  • Interesting comments about 80's "New Wave" and how he was bored with the three chord grunge sound. It's a shame that he didn't stick around long enough to experiment with these things more in Nirvana. It makes me wonder what their forth studio album would've sounded like.

Also Kurt seemed like he was a really grounded person, and never let the whole "rock star mentality" get to his head.

  • C"MON post the rest dont' leave myself and heaps of others in suspence

  • Unfortunately the sound out of sync.

  • He seemed pretty happy..

  • im trying to start my own band as well.. ive always seen myself in some dark pines witchcraft part of the world

playing in grey skys in some low life tavern or something.

    i like gritty rock

just take handfull of sand and chew on it.

  • it bothers me a little that the audio and video arent in synq

  • Escape for my mind this Band!

He have the gust .! He play this, his style Well and perfectly! ..perfect guess..perfect wiNner ! they are free THIs IS NIrvana !! He can play all kind...of music Instyle! Nirvana Melody ...push the spirit safe without problem

  • Imagine if Nirvana were still around....

  • such a great guy. this has got to be my favorite interview.thanks for posting this...

    we miss you,Kurt. r.i.p.

  • this journalist is doing a great job.. she is great.. very good questions..

  • the people in general dont understand..this fact...Kurt..was fresch and distant when. he was with stupid people! this girl...at this inerview is cool ..we have one good attitude! sorry for my bad english

  • yeah all Cd of Nirvana still fucking good...perfect!! its the best music ever...with One man like Kurt dave and krist who push their own limit...far far..far!! in one short time !

  • its don Juan demarco 4:45 ..4:52 listen

I imagine...Nirvana..hard core song like..the old zao..or...something like in their style really hard Core!

  • Oh yea, and left-handed! ;)

  • Wow, I love him! Smart, savvy, and sarcastic :) We need more blunt spoken folks to step up and represent for us!

  • Shit, I just sync-ed up my brain with part 1 and now part 2 is in sync but I'm all out of whack!!

  • god this girl sounds like a horny school girl. If she were a guy she'd probably have a major hard on through out the whole interview.

  • jajjjajjaja lolz wtf!!
