hi friends i m giving online classes for new students or old students on skype if anyone want to learn tar shehnai esraj dilruba and taus so plz add me on skype or video on youtube my id is arshadisrajplayer
I've read in many places that the taus was made by Sri Guru Hargobind Ji. And then Guru Gobind Singh Ji made the dilruba when gursikhs asked Guru Sahib to make an instrument that would be easier to carry on horseback. Is that right? Or was it Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji who made the taus?
good question. i read somewhere sri guru arjan dev ji made the saranda. waheguru is the giver of all so doesnt really matter eh. atma of sri guru nanak dev ji was all the same and of perfect genius.
I agree, all the gurus were the same jot and therefore it really doesn't make any difference in that sense, but it does help you understand why an instrument is made a certain way, why it sounds the way it does, the importance of the instrument in our Sikh history, etc. :-)
