  • C'mon Jesus, he only wants to know.

  • sooooo seventies.. love it!!!!

  • the tassels flare perfectly at the right times. js

  • Still good in 2011...

  • I love how delightfully '70s Judas's outfit is here. I mean, a lot of the clothes are very '70s, but Judas's tasselled V-neck jumpsuit kind of takes the cake.

  • @8cmn It's almost as if this was filmed in the 70's isn't it.

  • 0 dislikes, because nobody fucks around with JC Superstar

  • Its a real strong comment on this film that in each scene my choice of who has the stronger voice (Carl or Ted) depending upon who is showcased. Of course its another strong comment on this film that we still take seriously (or ever took seriously) a film which closes with Judas as an angel surrounded by angel go-go dancers...

  • Nice fairy tale. Two thumbs up.

  • could that be the first goog dideo without a dislike

  • fabulosa toda la peli

  • Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ....Thank you for getting that stuck in my head... -.- But...in the long run, it's worth it ;]

  • Bravo! His performance is mesmerizing.

    Thank You.

  • Ric, A blessed and solemn memorial day to you! Thumbs up to our Navy SEAL's.

  • The first time I heard Jesus Christ Superstar, the raw emotion of the music and the vocal performance changed my understanding of the sheer magnitude of the events leading up to and including Jesus' death. I now felt its passion at the gut level and on human terms--exactly as I believe we are supposed to feel it. I have always been grateful to all of these artists for producing a work that allowed me to experience such a crucial spiritual awakening.

  • @deerlanemoose I couldn't have said it better :)

  • I would *almost* kill for a replica of Judas' outfit.

  • Judas' face at 2:37-2:40 is so like passionate

  • @ipodnano4334 its called, like, acting

  • ironically this is what a lot of the mega-churches of the 70, 80s, and 90s look like.

  • @czahnie, I 've seen this at least 500 times, I've never noticed it!!

  • i just realizewd that all the girls have the superstar logo embossed on their belts! hot!

  • keep them at home with him. Yes I know God is everywhere just like Jesus. In Fact Jesus never talked of a hell and never said he came here to die for our sins.

Out of the 27 books what Bible are you reading from?

People that kill because thier dark souls turned away from God when he made them, they can't be changed and won't be on the other side with the white souls/.

  • Dear RICBNH, I want to thank you very much for your Jesus Christ Superstar clips, there wonderful just like watching my DVD on Blu-Ray on my HD ....Great

  • The Bible actually doesn't say if you commit suicide you go to hell, period. And the reason for why Judas is there, I believe just to lighten up the mood? If you heard of Passion of Christ, it gets close to what probally did happen. I'm not saying that Jesus didn't do what he did.

  • @robotdude14 First of all there is no hell after we pass, That does not mean people like Hitler will be in heave with white spirit's. Judas didn't go to hell and was part of the plane, he also didn't think Jesus would be {or they would try} killed. Hell is right here on earth. As far as suicide, that's always up to God. From my understanding thier sent back to finish there charts just like all of us have to do. If a person kills themselves because there very ill, God being all mecriful may just

  • @SuzieGriss I've always felt that to believe in Heaven you also have to believe in Hell. You can't feel that there is infinite good after we die, but no bad?

  • @PsychadelicBeatle Thing is, the concept of good and bad seems to be a very human thing, as is the idea of punishment. I have a little trouble wrapping my head around the idea that an all-powerful, omnipresent being would concern itself with humen ideas.

  • Hmm isn't there something wrong here? Despite being an athiest, I'm pretty sure you don't go to heaven if you commit suicide. Then what the hell is Judas doing there?

  • @SPRX22 I think that's just an urban myth.

  • Israel in 4BC had no mass communications...

  • Carl Anderson's voice and the his Judas character was the best ever! Sorry, but this whole scene in the version with Glenn Carter in 2000 was terrible and silly.

  • @repconklc I KNOW! Judas sang this song as if he was laughing in Jesus' face, mocking him. It's not. He genuinely wanted to know if Jesus thought he was truly the Messiah; or if he WAS the Messiah and just never said or did anything to prove he was. It's sad that Jesus never answers. So maybe Jesus was the original troll. :p

  • @repconklc absolutely. For me, Carl Anderson is and always will be the definitive Judas.

  • Jesus Christ is the Superstar

  • Judas has a point.

  • @EclecticNerd He really does. :p

  • Best song in a rock opera, musical or any other film, hands down.

  • 0:02 to 0:08 - the expression is so heartwrenching!

  • this movie of 1973 is a thousand times better than the 2000 version. Did they think that increasing brutality and cinism and making simpler the characters ("evilizing" them) they would actualize the tone of the movie???

  • I love all your videos

  • Ric, I know you're still working on it, could you please re-link the Irish girl's version on Idol?

  • Ahh yes,Carly Smithson.

I have the master and it will be posted soon Ron.
