  • lol i like raymans voice in revolution so much better than in the great escape... this is Spongebob lol..

  • 0:32 derp

  • what happens if you get all te lums?

  • You get.... nothing.

It's just a cosmetic stat, aside from having the required amount to open doors. You can do it for the fun of it if I were to put it simply.

  • that was so pro...

    very fun to watch!

rayman 2 is the shit! =D

  • If anyone is confused at what is happening, basically. After getting all the masks, and powering up the God of the world, he decided to take all his power and go medieval on the pirate ship. The lava pouring down is probably molten lead, or slag, that is what fuels the ship. Foundry stuff, you know. Rayman's allies have caused some damage, but Rayman needs to be the one to kick Razorbeard's ass personally.

Just because this is an awesome video.

  • Epic game epic music : masterpiece !

  • dude saestrol could u please help me im looking for the mission on rayman 2 where you have to kill 100's of pirates and there all in waves and they start easy to hard could u please link me to a video of it or atleast tell me where too look

  • @daevildude45 watch?v=-kd5fvOlX9o&list=PLF313065129BCEC86&index=25

It's the Tomb of Ancients and you're looking for the 1,001th Yellow Lum, correct?

  • this is my childhood game :)

  • play the PS1 version

  • completed the game today but need to get lums and cages :\ well done tho it took me like 30 mins to complete the part from 5:07 onwards lol that rocket is a real pain in the ass to control :@

  • The general's from "Tonic Trouble"...

just wanted to point that out...

  • whowongottwooneday that's actually what he says sometimes!

  • So wait, the N64 music is edited in, then?

  • Correct. A customized grip on music control while editing.

  • This level took me 50 tries the last level took me my first try.

  • ROCK ON! YOU ARE AWESOME!

  • surprisingly I found the shell part easy, too bad the door got bugged and woudn't open! I have to restart the level, at least I can collect the missing lums that are right before the shell area.

  • @TibiaThief I replayed it and same thing! the door wont open.. maybe i need all the lums? I missed some at the end of the siding part.

  • Grrr on the 3ds the camera auto-rotates, made it to the end but hit a wall instead of getting to portal :(

  • I remember playing this for playstation... died all the frikkin' way (though I don't remember the pirate henchman... maybe they remved it in that version? I dunno :()

Now I really want to go play it again

  • Wait... I finally did it. i'm on the REAL final level now.

  • @nintendo46 I usually don't use the 3D, AND THE LEVEL IS STILL FREAKING HARD. It's all because of that flying shell part. I hate it. ITS SO LONG AND HARD. And there's no checkpoints in that section either.

  • 7:24

    Just one teensie walks casually.

Not like he's just been set free after months or anything.

  • i was playing this on the 3ds, pretty awesome in 3d totaly worth getting only problem its slightly glitchy in enviromental aspect like upside down fire, clouds being like repeative wallpaper (see 100+ clouds), out of place sprite; just small stuff. seriously in 3ds its wow o.o

  • Thanks for this, I'm currently working on a Let's Play of Rayman 2 on the N64 and I couldn't for the life of me find those three lums floating over the lava in that first flying shell room. Lol!

  • How do u create the text and .. Which movie file you use ? i dont know

  • why n64 music in dreamcast version?

when you pressed the button in 3:29

  • @Bentenyson1

    He prefers the N64's music.

  • 15fps...

are you playing this on a emulator ?

  • @mert800 The Dreamcast is an 'old' console from Sega (you know, the Sonic stuff)

  • Are dreamcast a new consol ???? or old i want to know

  • The dreamcast version seems to turn better. On the N64 it loses control sometimes when turning. That's it, or you do something.

  • Hey Saestrol..... I've Noticed the N64 music at right about 4:13 . And Yet on other videos its the original PC version music at right about there. Did you Edit it?

  • My entire video series on this game contains editing of both types of music.

  • @Saestrol well that makes it more fun

    diffrent versions of music

  • PC Version fails.. The way they talk xD

For example, look at 7:35: Jewbeladay, cetelebrista?

  • An entire version of the game "fails" because they speak Raymanian? I find that to be rather odd.

  • @Saestrol Raymanian? Ahh, no dude.. This has been my favorite video game, and it still is. :)

  • he has the shots ly gives him in the fairy glade (in the scxene)

  • What the fuck is a rayman anyway? LOL

  • @ticosexy22 rayman's species doesnt have name

  • Aw, would it have killed them to put that scene in the DS version?...

  • @stevemcblark probably...

  • Use the force luke... let go luke!

    x-wing trench equipped with turbolasers!

  • Ahh, Rayman 2, this platform game really was my light in the darkness of a time where almost all good platformers were for consoles only... Good game, good game! Too bad Razorbeard sounds didn't sound as evil in Rayman M, though :P

  • so rayman freed a like 100 slaves, he forgot the other 80000 -_-

almost all slaves died a horrible death...

  • You don't always have to assume the worst. Don't forget the other beings at work here.

  • @higihugo Yep

  • Cutscene at 7:00 oh that is so awesome!

  • 2:58 razorbeards henchman

  • what dose TGE mean?

  • @1yoshi426 The Great Escape, mate :)

  • You know what I find ironic? This is the pirate PRISON ship, but there are no cages in the entire level!

  • It can kill, crush, destroy, torture, pull ears...

  • 0:45 - You trust a pirate? That's not very smart of you.

  • This is no doubt the best, most epic, most challenging game I have ever played!

  • LOL when i was younger i quit and stopped playing the game because i couldn't do the flying rocket bit....turns out i was insanely close to completing the game how annoying

  • Before rayman used his fists like a noob.

  • also, this just made me reinstall Rayman 3.

  • this game was so awesome! where are my classic rayman platformers, nobody needs this rabbid rubbish :/

  • piece of cake when you look at it ^^U oh how I hate the shell part... T___T

  • 0:34 is pretty harsh for an e rated game

  • this mission is very hard, i cant win since the last time that i played on my dream cast

  • not easy as it looks, it's hard as crack. can someon give me the music of the rocket theme???

  • nicee! this stage always pissed me off when i was a kid because i'd keep missing lums or when i got them all, i'd miss the switches x_x

  • If any of you have the PC version, theres this Tonic Trouble video with the game (I think it was a download) It has that guy at 0:07 in it!

  • I have this same game for the PC. I hate the sliding parts in this level, and I never saw the cutscene at 7:10.

  • This cutscene was added for this version. Probably on the PS2 as well.

  • @Saestrol As I recall part of it was in the PS1 version.

  • @Saestrol well it wasnt on ds. thats such a shame. but ds was the worst version so it might have screwed it up

  • i've got the n64 version, but i'm so pissed cuz i keep missing the lums on the second room entrance circle

  • you dont get the last cutscene on the ds and cp :-(

  • how do you control him so well on the slide part at the beginning of the level? on mine he doesnt go side to side only forward and left!

  • Most of the sliding depends on weather you press back or forward while moving left or right. Try pressing back for a little easier time.

It's supposed to slow you down, but not by much.

  • where can u downl0ad thi1s

  • im so pissed i was almost done on the rocket part and a lazier shot me down right before i beat it

  • did you notice how the guy that sells the giant robot has no limbs just like rayman? maybe they´re relatives o_O who knows...

  • Woah! Pause at 7:32! Theres a really big and fat baby globox cheering in the background!

  • I have the n64 version beat it and etc but what one is the best, are there major differences?

  • The only major differences are the music, graphics and control between N64, Dreamcast and PC.

PS1 is a slightly different game with voice acting, less stages but different level designs (although the graphics aren't the best)

    PS2 is a remake.

  • The pirate ship shell part where you navigate through ti reminds me of that flying minigame on Rayman 3(PS2)

  • I like this game. have it for PS1,DS and PC. The PS2 version is the best.

  • It is not possible to get all the 999 lums :S i completed every other level except this one. I collect all 94 but it always ends with the ''The End'' screen and it doesn't save any lum :S

  • It is not impossible as the creators didn't design it that way. Something critical might be happening on your side (like how some people shut off the game when the credits start to roll for example).

Depending on what version of the game you are playing, you might have prevented it from saving somehow.

  • 6:48 that flyeing shell was silver but when it come on the part where are the prisoners it transformed yellow O.O

  • Continuity error. Yellow Shells can also fly but this was just being sloppy.

  • I wonder who the f***** desined this prison ship

  • The hardest level of the game...

  • Largest amount of Lums in the level.

  • at 2:48 - on PC it appears when u get down ;D you can get gold fist so its a way easier

  • Yeah! (Reminds me of Rayman Rush)

  • ese juego de rayman lo tengo desde k tengo memoria esos tiempos daria todo mi lana por un sega PD: alguien k venda un sega deamcaster se lo compro menos de 5,000 pesos

  • Wow...All the lums? Nice.

  • this game is great especialy on ds

  • Ohmygod, you are so good... I play this level 4 hours yet, but still can't win :D Respect man :)

  • Shit, I did it, but I have ONE lum forgot somewhere in this level :( I'll go and kill yourself... :D

And as I see this next level, this with Razorbeard, it is unbeatable for me... xD And this is a last one, no? I'll get any lums for completing game, or what?

Actually I have 898 lums, and I found all the lums, expect this one on prison ship.

In game are 999 lums, so where are these remaining 100?

  • And I'm sorry for my terryfiing English, but I hope and believe you understand what I want to say :))

    Thanks :)

  • It's okay.

If you are missing Yellow Lums, then you need to search on the stages that are not 50/50. If you are playing N64, then they will be portals that are still blue and not red.

  • Hey everyone check out my tribute to Rayman, our old limbless pal back in his long forgotten 2D days!

  • this is the best rayman its really cool

  • if you are near to the ground and you hit by a laser the shell can walk on the ground and if you press a (jump) it will fly again

  • Hmmm in the cut scene at 6:45 rayman shots is blue!

  • I nearly crapped myself in joy when I noticed that you could FLY on that shell. I failed SO many times though, so I went back and played Star Fox 64 about 20 times, came back, then Pwned that sequence without a hitch.

Never did see that end cut-scene; badass. :3

  • Tha't why i am a fan of rayman :D

  • I think I get the color bug with the movie.

    Silver = always fly.

    Yellow = ride.

So in the movie they had him ride it, so the animation of the yellow thingie was used?

^_^ Ok, that made... erm... sense I hope? And in the last battle of the a game a yellow one flies o.o' so... mmmh... yeah... I'll shut up now lol.

  • Uh.... well I think I get what you are saying.

They messed up the cut scene here and used a regular shell, instead of the silver/steel one he flew in with. Then they scrapped the idea and made him find another regular shell that flies in the last battle.

It's like they couldn't make up their minds.

  • This is one of the greatest platformers ever made. Love this game.

  • Wow, the PC version didn't have that scene involving Rayman freeing the slaves, but now I see it was an essential scene!

  • This also was not in the N64 version.

I think the PC was more simple a port of the N64 with the new music. PS2 has this scene as well if I can recall it at all.

  • hey saestrol?what do you use to record?i also want to tell you that you are one of my god of games :D

  • When Rayman said about finding Globox he sound rather... Hm... How to put that in? Arght! I'm lost at word! Awsome vid at the end of that part! There's no vid in PC version sadly...

  • lol nice commentary

  • im soorry but rayman 3: hoodlum havoc was so hard on pc

  • hehe good times ^^

  • This was by far the hardest level of the game for me, you're great! I still remember that the last flying parts were brutal. I don't know how I would do this now, since I'm older, but God, this level was a hell for me.

  • thats with me too, but believe me, it is easier after 9 years lol

  • heres another thing dat doesnt make sense about da ship. its a prison ship, but it has 0/0 cages.

  • In the ending scene, they made another error: Rayman's shots are silver in that scene XD

And, is it me, or does the part where the lasers are shooting at you remind anyone of the Death Star Trench Run?

  • dumb question: what does TGE mean, "to get everything"?

  • "TGE" = The Great Escape. Done because the full video title would have been too long back when this was uploaded.

Coincidentally, I did grab everything in the game, so I guess you can say it means both! Heh heh well not really but yes, I do get all the lums.

  • Duh! Wow, I was right, that WAS a dumb question...

  • Best Rayman Game ever they need to make MOre!

  • No kidding. Enough with the Rabbids.

Give them a cameo, but make it about Rayman again. It's been too long.

  • Check out my other Rayman Video the one with the teenises its better

  • They have made as many Rabbid games as they have made True platforming games (excluding the GBA rayman 3)

    Raving rabids 3 TV party

    Rayman 3 - Hoodlum Havoc

    Wow, Ubisoft.

Get in gear and forget the rabbids!

  • you are all an expert... i can´t believe you collect all the 94 lums!

  • I could not be too sure. You can ask if they have anything like it.

I know I've seen one before I just cannot recall the name...

  • There is in fact an adaptor that can convert your PS2 controller into a device the computer can read, but finding a tool like this isn't easy.

You might be stuck with online sources, but some pawn shops or game store may have them at times.

  • This is a hell of a level X[

    But... finally... I MADE IT!!!!

After like 500 times i finally got through this hell XD

    Now the next level.....

  • The ending wasn't in the N64 version.

  • On PC this flyingh part is hell, i always get shooted by the lasers

  • Are you using the keyboard? I can agree in that case. You only get to press 3 keys at once and it's a little hard to be in the right position.

    Those lasers are pretty accurate.

  • You're good, but i still didn't understand how you pass the level when you fly there... (I always come back to the way when i start) Hate this level... Exactly when i almost won here...

  • During the flying part when you come out of the ship, just go straight. The path I take with the Red Lums doesn't have anything and will end up looping right back outside the ship.

  • I HATE THIS LEVEL!

  • I forgot about this part... why is the Pirate ship mostly destroyed?

  • your a good player

  • Thanks. It took a lot of practice to do this.

  • Awesome flying!

I also remember struggling through that..it was soo fustraiting!

    Awesome job!

    ~Lenne~

  • Who the hell designs a flying ship with lava flows every 10 feet and you have to slide and do acrobatics to get around?!

  • I have the PC version, and i find the second part of the flying shell so hard! its so annoying, how do you know how to dodge those lasers? your flying skills are awesome, maybe its easier on Dreamcast, but for pc its ridiculous.

  • Heh, the DS to me is the rediculous one! Well if you use the keyboard it can be real tricky. Dreamcast actually has easier controls.

The key is to keep moving so you aren't in their line of sight for too long. A combination of swerving up and down can help.

  • awesome

  • I had trouble with the fight with Ninjaws in the second part of the Prison Ship.

  • me too...i never suceed!!!!

  • I just fire in all directions until I kill that flamethrower henchman!

  • but from 5: 15, i like the music! waht is happening?

  • This game, the version I play here is on the Dreamcast.

The music is the MIDI version you hear on the N64 or DS version, but is later replaced by the newer constructed song.

I add the music and mix the two versions where applicable.

  • oh! at 4:25or 30....is this for ps? if it is, i don't like the music, but you can keep the 5/5!

  • you can fly well, and i LOVE the song! 5/5!

  • Wtf? I never saw that ending scene!

  • It didn't exist for the N64/DS versions. It was added into other versions of the game.

  • It's not in the PC version. :(

  • this game is so freakin cool ^^

    5/5

  • i love your added comments LOLZ XD

  • I love that last cutscene ^-^ more than the outro.

  • i love this game

  • Your The Rayman Xpert :)

  • ok but it doesnt make since i think they let that happen

  • oh and why is there lava on the ship and only a assaon pirate on and that was in real life the ship oulda burned down

  • oh this is one more tip when u fightthose regular pirates that drill on n64 version or any rayman 2 game if u get hit my the drill the pirates go through the dirt u will get try again quickly saestrol try to see if thats glitch

  • I don't think that is a glitch but if they dig up under you, then your energy gets zapped. I don't know why that is more deadly than anything else but it should be easy to avoid.

  • the pirate robot scared me when it poped onmy game im like wtf!

  • oh and im not spam -.-

  • saestrol i luv ur vids but at 0:37 rayman has his gold fist instaed of his white hands so it was a glitch becuz on the n64 versin if u didnt have the gold gloves it would be raymans reguaer handsppl look at 0:37 when it does stop and look at raymanhands quickly

  • Well since the cut-scenes are in-game rendered, it reads Rayman's current status and uses it. The only noticeable change is having the Power Fist or not.

I had 1 Fist left as the level began so that's why his hands were golden. At 0:37 his hands are still charged with the ability. The white part is actually Rayman's shoe blending with the fire (It took me a while to see that one heh heh.)

  • Ahh, yes, the "fun part". Well, my constant dying kind of reduced the "fun" anyway... :)

  • HOLY CRAP INDEED

  • what program did you use for make the video of the game???

  • Ulead Video Studio 10+

  • I love that funny white text XD. And the fight against the first robot was epic.

  • awesome

  • 6:45-end wasnt on the N64 version!

  • yeah rayman

  • wtf language they are speaking?

  • If I remember good, they speak Raymanian.

  • Why was your vitality low, and why did you have only one power fit in the beggining?

  • This time it was because I went to a previous level to get the fist (and try out a glitch), but then I got careless dying in a spot. I knew ship had lots of red lums so I just went "bah forget it"

I was saving the fist for the pirate then lost is, so I went back for it.

  • Aha, I see. What glitch?

  • kk i havnt seen it yet
