At the time, there were two kinds of people: Grand Funk fans and Grand Funk haters. As a drummer then, I dug them all the way. Don Brewer changed my life.
I love early Funk/Farner but this performance isn't too good....Guitar shuts down at the solo...too much funky hop in that bass...overbearing organ..a brewer drum solo kills this drum solo...I don't know...compare this whole vibe to 1970 and it doesn't have half the total power. Again I love early FUNK..but then again I guess this is just Farner trying to do his thing.
@austingunsmoke you're right....1970 is very far and that power just disappeared...however Farner is a very good rock performer....he lost his hair but not his rock attitudes until today.
Good jam. It's great to see Mark kickin it still. I grew up on Grand Funk RR taking my brothers albums to school in 2nd grade in the early 70S blowing class mates minds and teachers ha ha . now older and being a drummer and have had seen Mark Don Mel in the 90s bosnia tour Mel ripped us all a new ass just as Mark & Don. as far as today Grand funk will only be Mark Don Mel EVER ! GET BACK TOGETHER PLEASE

Paranoid was on Grand Funk's second album released Dec 29 1969 (a.k.a. the Red Album)
T.N.U.C. was the outstanding drum solo tune on their first album On Time.
Hope this helps.
