I restored the video that was deleted in the MP4 format but however, I cannot play it. It says "Window media player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file or required a codec.... etc".

I tried this program but it didnt fully recover and files where out of order not in folders

On Vista Home I google shadow explorer and it gave me back 12+GB of deleted Music folder it supposed to be already on higher versions of Vista but it was easy and all the files were there in the order and in folders I had them in it had a few bugs but I just kept closing and opening it again till I got them all back onething if you lose files do this recovery right away so they don't get overwritten

@prankster163 The folder might be overwritten by something else you put in HDD. Actually, the files don't delete physically. It just tells to the boot sector, that it doesn't exist, that the place is free and anything else can just be overwritten. It's like a magnet. When you install or put something it might get your deleted file place. HDD uses a powerful magnet to ruin the physical form of your file and then it makes your new file form appear On the whole or a part of your old file place.

If it is saying you are not the administrator right click the restorations icon go to properties then click on the compatibility tab check the box that says run this program as administrator (i use windows vista)
