duabi has like no oil.... compaired to the countrys surrounding it.... so the leader of duabi decided to turn the city into a tourism attraction.... they plan on acheving this by building a whole bunch of worlds first and best buildings and structures... like the man made palm islands or the burj duabi

i know.... that china tv tower is like 600m, but.... china has a lot longer history then canada.... and they just building this tower now.... toronto built the cn tower in 1973 and it was the tallest man made structure in the world for over 30 years until the burj duabi came along..... china may be going hard on skyscrapers right now..... but canada deffently beat them to the punch

Actually this is a great example of how and if the world works together they can achieve such amazing heights.
Think about it, the Burj Dubai is truly a global achievement. The man behind the idea, and financing is done by the Arabs, the Americans designed it, the South Korean Engineering firm Samsung is the Project leader, and the workers building it are mostly from neighboring countries like Pakistan.
So, Burj Dubai should be nick named, the PEACE MAKER of the world.

Those people are much closer to god now than Westerners. Those dudes living at the top of the tower can shake hands with god in the morning instead of looking up in the sky to pray to him. doubtful. they dug the base, then realized they didn't have nearly enough money to build the tower. it's frozen for now - they might get a loan from the construction workers union though, because so many members are unemployed.

no, i am saying that those workers (75% of the emirates population) get paid VERY low salaries, but because their still higher then the pakistani would earn in his villiage, those people still work their. i would imagine a monarchi that can effort to build the worlds tallest building is able to pay decent money. but they dont, thats why i said slave
