  • Australia DOES NOT HAVE MARINES!! And australian commandos are special forces, just like the SAS but the jobs are compleatly different

  • and to think that Australian SAS and 10 times better

  • k so is special forces better than commandos or are they the same but they do different rolls in my opinion i thin special forces are the best

  • @JJO117 Australian commandos are Special Forces. It differs from nation to nation for example, the royal marines commandos from Brittan are not Special Forces but are classed as specialized infantry. Australian commandos have to undertake the Special Forces entry test witch is also taken by SAS hopefuls before attempting selection.

  • @JJO117 i think commandos are the more brutal of them both

  • @JustInaccurate shut the fuck up, dont put that crap on such a comments page, maggot dick mother fucker. Grow up.

  • Fantastic huh.

  • Trolllllllll

  • Lol at your trolling, you troll cause you were not accepted haha :)

  • Everyone knows Aussie "soldiers" are gay anal loving cowards---FACT

  • @AmericaRulesCanada just what the fuck man?

  • @ThePreditor22 What? Its not my fault Aussie diggers suck cock....Fact!

  • @AmericaRulesCanada And where r u getting ur facts dick head. stop trolling and fuck off

  • @ThePreditor22 You are a gay Aussie digger yourself arent you? Would explain the hostility...BUTTERCUP

  • @AmericaRulesCanada your probably a fat ass american aren't you? and no, i'm not gay since i'v got a girlfriend. i doubt u do. the only close friend u have is ur greasy hamburger

  • @ThePreditor22 HEY MATE STOP MAKING SHIT UP BOUT URSELF AUSSIES AR THE BEST WE HAVE BALLS

  • @JAREDARMY I totally agree about Aussies having balls but what r u talkin bout by "making shit up about myself"? And lose the capital letters would u

  • AHA! just incase you guys didn't read my last post and look it up.

The Australian 2nd Commando regiment, they will be taking up the role of the Australian primary special forces in the future.

  • Hey guys, just want to make a point, the SAS isn't the only Special Forces that Australia has, infact the Navy Clearance Divers and a few other units out there are elite unites on-par with the Aus SAS.

They all train together or use similar training, the SAS are elite, no doubt about it, just don't forget the other guys :)

  • @holysoks1 I try to put the point across to people that do not understand that the Commandos and SASR both have similar training. It just focuses on their respective roles. Commandos (CT, Raids) SASR (LRR, Bodyguarding, intelligence). Are you sure about the clearance divers though? I know they form apart of TAG E with the commandos, but i didn't know they were under the command of SOCOM-D.

You are right that our SF all train together. Did you know that the state response cops train with em.

  • @daaskapital1 . defencejobs. gov .au/navy/jobs/ClearanceDiver/

    *Shrugs*

I don't know about the SOCOM-D command, infact I know very little of them apart from the fact that they're well trained.

  • @holysoks1 Thanks for the link mate. Will definitely check it out. I need to read up on the divers, i know very liitle about them.

  • the reason why many people belive that the ADF is more pro than other forces is because we are smaller. we can afford to spend money on our troops training. the average SASR trooper is worth around $1.7 million in training

  • hi im a royal marines commando (UK) is there a way that i can transfer?

  • @Jamietran123 gotta become a citizen for i thinks at least 19 years.

  • The Aussies fought in Nam too! These guys are lethal. Their SAS is one of the best in the world. Thank You Australia!! I wish i could buy you all a pint of Fosters!!!

  • @AmericaRulesCanada Tell Me, why do you hate Australians so much? We get along just fine with America.

  • What is the Australian SAS?

  • @jamzee9 Australian Special Air Service Regiment

  • @MrAcdcefg ah, well people who say marines are the best are idiots because marines arent special forces, just a more elite version of army.

  • @MrAcdcefg and isn't their an australian SAS?

  • @MrAcdcefg you really think aussie commandos are a top five SF group? Not starting an argument, just asking. I'm a dual citizen between US and AU and am torn between which one to join. I want to join the defense force because i think it'd be more of a fun time but the US spends so much on military i just can't see AU having a stronger special forces group.

  • @TownPiligan14 ummm have you heard the skill ratio of SAS to US Marines... it's like 1-5 or said even higher.

Just because America has 4829084902348903284903280948320948930284920+10 soldiers, doesn't mean that you're a stronger sf' service, all round in a firefight against each other the marines would have a high chance of success due to the number but Australian SAS really is much more skilled than the marines

  • @bmx69rokz marines aren't special forces....

  • R.I.P. Brett Wood .... i never knew you personally,.... although your legacy resonates within ........ You did your country proud, and paid the ultimate sacrafice ...... You,... along with all A.D.F. members ... both past and present ..... make sure people like me can sleep comfortably at night ....... and for that, i am truely grateful .......... and if i can become half the man you were ........ I'll be content ...........

  • every country's commandos and SFs are different. In my opinion they are all professionally good at what they do, everyone here comparing US and AUS, just shut the hell up you trolls, I know a few Commandos and I can guarantee you that they would never in a million years talk shit about other serving country's commandos and SFs pers. These men are risking their lives everyday to protecting their respective country, just be thankful that they exist and yes I'm a proud serving member.

  • @NekoEspada very few countries have commando's. for instance, UK./australian marines are on a different league with other marines around the world. just political correctness.

  • Comment removed

  • I was in the Marines - I was with some Aussies in Kandahar. I, and the other Americans with me, found the Aussies to be professional, intelligent, and all around good fellas to be around. The US Marines are professionals as well, and surely any trolls on here using the Marines to demean another allied country is likely a 'faker' or wannabe.

Pay no mind to the negative trollers, guys. They are only trying to get you riled up at your own expense.

  • @TheSocalmarine We may have met . I know this is an old post but when were you there if you dont mind me asking.

  • @TheSocalmarine No offence, dude, but the Australians usually keep calmer, and not panic as much as Americans tend to. I plan on joining the Australian Commandos as soon as I turn nineteen, I'm weak as all fuck and extremely unfit, and I'm still only 14, so I have a decent amount of time to get up off my arse and get into gear.

  • The bloke that said Aussie diggers root kangaroos is fucking stupid do you know how hard it would be to catch one;)

  • @Cgul96 u cam catch kangaroos but they kick the shit out of you

  • @MrAcdcefg

Trye mate, watch all my videos, and I'm making another one right now on our SF, suscribe and watch it once I upload it :)

  • @MrAcdcefg

I am too and am off to Kapooka in 9 days and during the application proccess it had the list of jobs and one of them is a Marine Specialistt which do the amphibious landings. Our normal infantry, let alone our Commando's would fuck up a Marine lmao

  • @MrAcdcefg

Actually we have Marine Specialists which are like Marines. Marines are shit anyways, just after Kapooka, our basic recruit training Aussie soldiers are trained to the equivilent of a US Marine, OUR BASIC TRANING LOL!

  • @YourRETARDEDchild the rar (Commandos) are known to be the best jungle fighters in the world, in the vietnam war, the death ratio from Australians to Americans was 1:3. one of the American Colonels stated that he wished his own troops to fight like the Aussies. The American high ranks even used us for many of your search and destroy missions due to our atonement of the jungle. I believe you are completely underestimating the Australian special forces capabilities

  • Aussie diggers are known for humping kangaroos. What a bunch of queer cowards :)

  • america rules canada always talks shit on any aus army vid go look

  • @americarulescanada I hate u u say that Aussie soldiers are shit hahaha u have no idea what Aussie marines are capable of I u don't stop bagin out Aussies I will cut off your fucking head u arnt an American your a member of the nazis I hope and wish and pray for u to be killed hahahahahaha u eat American dick

  • Can people please just report as spam some of the comments from trolls? Enough Spam reports and they lose their acct.

  • Australian soldiers are a joke.

  • @TheMitchellWhite Australian soldiers are some of the best trained in the world, and that's a fact, don't judge soldiers on a video made about them

  • @TheMitchellWhite

i dare you to say that to one of our faces you piece of shit. go suck dick.

  • @TheMitchellWhite

Fuck off dumb cunt, your a fucking joke ya fucking faggot.

  • @TheARMAProductions we chat in our channel, like same old days

  • @TheARMAProductions My account is reopend lol

  • @TheARMAProductions

    Australian commandos are joke.

  • @ozzyguy67 ??? :D

  • @ozzyguy67 lol, sometimes its just random......much like how steve irwin would randomly rape animals and infect them with AIDS.

  • @AmericaRulesCanada thats probably the worst joke ive read on youtube

  • @fkngtwat Thats wasnt meant as a joke. My you Aussies are stupid :(

  • @AmericaRulesCanada Australia ftw

  • @AmericaRulesCanada

Fuck off. True English? Umm, retard, 13% of the English language is Greek, the rest is mostly derived from latin, Anglo Saxon and a bit of French. Its called slang ya dumb fuck. We ruined it? We arnted the reatarts that spell things like 'colour' without the 'u'. Americans fucking ruined it, so shut the fuck up fuck head. Stop trolling.

  • @YourRETARDEDchild Aussie diggers such as yourself enjoy engaging in sexual intercourse with koalas and kangaroos...you mad, bro? :D

  • @AmericaRulesCanada

No, I'm pretty sure we fuck your American women with our notorious;y famous large penises. Plus, our Koala would rip your eyes out and our Kangaroo's would kick the shit outa you then use its big claws on its feet to dissembowl you. We won't even need to send in our soldiers for you. Our Taipans (the most venomous snake in the world) would just bite you and you'll be dead in seconds. Our Great hite sharks would fuck you up. (Continued).

  • Respond to this video...

Nowonder were such hard cunts and thats why your women throw themselves at us and we fuck them in every hole then throw them back in the trash (to America).

  • @YourRETARDEDchild No they dont. Everyone knows that Australian "men" like you have small koala sized penises :(

  • @AmericaRulesCanada go away you silly child.

  • @AmericaRulesCanada ur a dick u know that ?? probably just another fat troll who lives in thier moms basment playin world of war craft all day...( and u know why u can do that its because alies like the uk aus usa ger french etc.... are ready to die so thier citezins can have freedom and a peacefull life )

  • @shadowfufu lol, whos talking to you, Maltese Sand Negro?

  • @AmericaRulesCanada 1 im not a negro i am an aus citizen ......... btw it doesnt matter wat the fuk the nationality any soldier loyal to protecting thier people and who is ready to go through war for that should be respected .....u fuckin ass redneck son of a bitch raceist

  • @YourRETARDEDchild betting a shit load of money your not Australian born...what are you afcan or some shit? No fucking true auzi would write that shit

  • If I had the fitness and mental strength, I'd sooner join up as a clearance diver. At least the Navy looks after it's ppl better than the army and there's much less instances of divers becoming emotional and physical wrecks when they discharge from the service. Whereas you hear endless stories of ex grunts/cdos and SASR soldiers falling apart and having tough times coping in civvy street.

Also the divers have a long standing history of training and joining the SASR/TAG teams.

  • @MrEnglish131 All it means is at this point in time they aren't recruiting. In about 6 months it will open up again as there will be a number of Commandos leaving for other jobs, retirement, etc. Only 250 applicants can apply each year and quite often all slots are taken within a week of recruiting opening up. There are other ways to get in (mainly being an exceptional soldier) but only a handful are accepted through these routes.

  • Hey. I plan on joining the ADF when I leave school and head into the SF straight away and become a commando. However I've been on the defence gov website and it says this job isnt recruiting. Does this mean that there is no more recruitments fo this year or what? I no it's a little early for me to worry but i am just wondering if it usually says this and if there are certain numbers allowed in each year??? Thanks

  • @epicwinguys You can't go straight into SAS from civvie. The quickest way in is SFDRS (Commandos), wait 6-12 months to be fully qualified for pro shit and then apply for SAS. It also depends on how competitive you are. Say there are 5 spots, 25 people pass the training with flying colors. 20 are still going home disappointed. The rules may have changed since I last checked, but even still the SAS will take soldiers over civvies. Which is probably everyone except you.

  • i like sas

  • If is as and it as is

  • Commando Grade 2 here, aerial assault trained. Got a ton of respect for my fellow Commandos, I hope we make everyone proud to be Australian. Also, we don't charge soldiers for war crimes because everyone is a possible threat. It is rare that innocent civilians are killed but when they are the soldier committing the crime undergoes some investigation. Head cams are there for a reason. You have my respect for setting the kids straight, 1027rsar.

  • @boredomwillkillme fuck off ya liar, your not even in the army...i've seen your contradicting posts on other clips....your a fucking twat!!!

  • @boredomwillkillme the REAL Australians respect you guys anyone that dosnt, dosnt respect their right to be called Australian and its people like you that allow us to feel safe so thank you for everything mate i appreciate it.

  • @boredomwillkillme can you answer me question i posted a little early plzz?

  • "being an esential part of the team" - notice there's only 1 "s" in essential.

  • How much does the The Australian Defence Force pay the family of civilians killed? Like when Special forces of 1 Commando Regiment raided the wrong house killing 5 children.

  • @lesdoyle2000 what do you do for them?

  • @vitnell760

    Nothing.

Why don't we charge soldiers when they commit war crimes?

  • @vitnell760

I didn't kill any women or kids for oil

  • so after reading your comments I am under the impression that achieving SAS is differnent to achieving Commando status... Is this correct someone?

  • @JuanCD135 Correct

  • I'm planning on joining the Aussie Commandos when I finish school. It will be a very good challenge and am looking forward to it. Basically no other job will keep me happy and interested like these jobs will.

  • this is my goal.

  • im gona try for comandos too down the track, gl to you ;)

  • yeah now you gotta go up the chain! infantry commandos then if your good enough SASR

  • @GuyWillo SAS are always after good signallers

  • @GuyWillo, Their is no chain. You can go from being an cook in the Navy and, if you pass selection, go to the SASR. The commandos on the other hand require an infantry background.

  • Australian Commandos are held in very high regard amongst the international special forces commintiy, for their equipment, skills, and operational expereince. The only problem facing Australian Commandos today is lack of numbers.

  • @Aus641, their current strength is quite good. They'll always take anyway who can do the job tho.

  • that promo is annoying as it explains nothing. hi tech graphic bollocks

  • SAS and Commandos are totaly unrelated. Take the British Army Commandos and the British SAS. They're almost exactly the same as the Australian Commandos and Australian SASR. There are a few differences, but Commandos and SAS/SASR operate independantly of each other.

  • @Aus641 British army commandos are no longer like ours. british army commandos are a seaborne infantry, part of the Royal marines under Naval jurisdiction. The SBS of the RM is closer to Oz cdo but it will take a major war for our commandos to turn into a SBS. It was the SBS that set up the OZ cdo.

The Oz cdo are similar instructure to what British cdo were in WW2

  • When he is quoting Maj-Gen Lewis, I think you should cut your losses, listen to him and sharpen up. His name also hints at his position. The Army is never going to publicise SASR, think about what you are saying.....

  • @0984Lewis So... you have or have not watched the 'Search for warriors' on telly?

  • I'm a bit young to start planning, but I want to do an ADF gap year, enlist and go along the road to the Commandos! :)

  • Same man XD but im going to thailand for my gap year.

  • @shalidar96 sure, go for the gap year... I'll tell you what will probably happen. You'll go to ARTC, then you go to the School of Infantry for IET's for 10 weeks. You'll only have a short time left so you're useless to the army. They'll post you to Training Support Platoon at the SOI which is full the infantry's dregs. You'll spend 6 months getting flogged, and you'll leave the army with no experience. Go to a battalion, or even become a Choco if you actually want to do anything at all.

  • @1027rsar wow dude big man ripping on little kids and shit

  • @1027rsar ... So pretty much, join into a Battalion, learn some stuff, THEN apply through the board instead of the Direct Recruitment Scheme? Dunno what you mean by Choco :S

  • @shalidar96 Choco=Chocolate Soldier aka ARES. Derogatory term used by Regular Army for Reservists/Militia in WW2, some units wear it proudly (esp. those who EARNED respect in New Guinea). To be honest, a large number of choco's are jokes, then there are the exceptions to the rule. Learn your job, learn it as well as you can, then maybe try out. Make yourself the best soldier you can, keep your mouth shut, do the crap jobs when they need doing, get your fitness up and you've got a chance.

  • @shalidar96 since i was 12 ive wanted to do this

since i was 12 i wanted to get my fitness to the right standards

    im 15 im almost there

  • @TheHorribleGuitarist Yeah mate, I'm 15 this year and have only really just started but I suppose if we're both still dedicated by then, well I guess I'll meet you at Kapooka ahaha :P

  • @shalidar96 see you there =D

  • You know the best way to solve you little problems kids? Pick up the phone and ring the ADF line they will tell you all you need to know.I did and i know but im not posting it just fucking ring them

  • to reeceva no commandos are not SASR ;) 2 totaly diffrent branches of the army :)

  • isnt commando apart of sasr special forces

  • It is best to be a commando for afew years and then attempt SAS so you are better prepared

  • Actually you are wrong. Either join Commandos or the SASR. You don't use one as a stepping stone to the other. Choose your career as they do totally different jobs. Plus if you undertook Commando selection and told them you were going to go for SASR selection in a few years they wouldn't even consider you. You'd be wasting their time and resources.

  • u cant join the SAS untill u have had a few years in another unit , somthing like 70% of SAS are X commandos

  • Firstly you can join the SASR from the street. It's called the direct entry special forces application. You will undergo Kapooka and Rifleman IET then go on to SFET. Secondly, you are wrong about many SASR operators being ex-commando. You do one or the other, you don't switch over. Thirdly, you're 16, and you have Call Of Duty stuff on your page. Therefore you have zero credibility with me.

  • @1021rsar lol pwned.

i have no idea what all those courses are haha all i know is my infantry courses in the canadian forces :P

  • @1027rsar You have no credibility what so ever either mate. You cant join SASR straight from the street, you can join 1 or 2 CDO from the street, thats the SFDRS, its for CDO not SASR. You are correct about the SASR operators. Most arent X commando's, if any of you have done your research you'll see each selection course gets about 100-150 candidates, 95% are from infantry although any male serving member of the ADF can apply. It's not impossible, strength of the body and mind. MIND!

  • OK genius... Which unit are from, if you are even army? Not that it really matters. You're only 19, and you disrespect the motto "Who Dares Wins". Which suggests to me that you have no link with the Army other than in your own head. Google "special forces direct entry" and read the article from the Army news that comes up as the first result. Major General Lewis of SOCOMD seems to agree with me. Entry is for IRR, CDO, SF Sigs and for selected pers, SASR entry. Nice try lid, get some time up.

  • thanks for saying what evryone is thinking

    (Y)

  • As I understand it, you can appy for 2 CDO off civvie street and if you perform exceptionally through training, and they are in need of SASR troopers, they may allow you to attempt selection- although this, and the chances of passing first time are rare.

  • This is my understanding also.

  • @1027rsar If you're talking about direct entry you can get to commando as direct, but you have to serve as a commando before going further usually minimum of 2 years

  • @MuscleH2007 4 years

  • @1027rsar

You can join Commandos off the street, but you rarely get in. SASR requires a minimal of one year service in the Army.

  • Where do you people get your information from... Do you just make it up? For the sake of my sanity, just look at the Defence Force Recruiting website and stop making up rubbish.

  • @1027rsar

I have been for my YOU session and aptitude test, Commando is on the list of jobs. SASR is not, you have to apply later on or be asked to go for selection.

Considering the SASR do not even have a page on the Defence Force site, I wonder where you get your information from.

  • Well congratulations... I did my Career day as it was called then back in '04, and I get my information from the SFTC page on the DRN.

  • Comment removed

  • You're 14. Don't try and tell me about my own employer. "We are primarily looking to recruit commandos and Special Forces signallers for service at 4RAR(Cdo) but we are also seeking a few high-grade applicants for service in SASR," Maj-Gen Lewis Comd of SOCOMD during the introduction of DE. Do you understand how little is actually said on defence recruiting. If any of you think that the army is anything like the recruiting info you get you've got a big shock coming.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes since 19 June it's been 2 CDO. Seriously, you people need to get this into your heads. You can't join any unit "off the street". Even a normal infantry battalion you'll be posted to ARTC first, then to Rifleman Wing, then to a battalion. Therefore you are a serving member. It's the same no matter what unit. The only thing about SF selection off the street is that you do the SFET first, then you do ARTC, and Infantry IET before attempting SASRC or CDO Reinforcement Cycle.

  • Comment removed

  • You've kind of got it right. You do the SFET, then Infantry IET, then continue on with the SF selection. When you apply for SF your selection form has multiple boxes to choose from. 4 RAR (now 2 CDO), 1 CDO, SASR or IRR. Just because Defence Force Recruiting doesn't mention it doesn't mean it isn't there. I'll bet they say nothing about being an SF signaller either for example.

  • Comment removed

  • @1027rsar too right mate, even as a reservist rifleman it was such a long process, they are thorough as with psych testing, med and physical testing. so much respect for the people who do make it into the Australian special forces

  • @1027rsar The best gen I have on Officer entry is Lt-3 (min 2 Years, ARA/ARES) prior to SFET, then sign on the line for 4 years. For Cdo I'd do it, I'm F*CKED if I want to go through 4 years of Regimental BS full-time (had more than enough part-time in the 1990's) without any opportunity to go overseas.

  • @1027rsar LOL I thought the barracks looked similar in the recruiting video :)

  • @0STREET0

You can join SASR straight from being a civilian. Google it.

  • @chrisdef15, very unlikely tho. You can't apply for the SASR as a civilian tho, you must apply for a position with the commandos.

  • @0Strykes0

    Nope check again buddy.

You can apply directly to the SASR as a civilian.

  • @chrisdef15, the Special Forces Direct Recruiting Scheme is the only path from civi-street to SF, it is an aplication for the Commando's, not the SASR. Although it states tho, if they think your good enough, after the SF barrier test, you may be able to apply for SASR selelction. The key word is 'may'.

  • @0Strykes0

May implies you can. It would depend on you not on rules, so if your good enough its totally possible just as i said. I never said it was easy, just possible.

  • @chrisdef15, I understand what your getting at now, although by that point that you can apply for SASR selelction, you are no longer a civilian. Cheers.

  • @0STREET0 amen brother, except the entry test is a downright cunt

  • @0STREET0 NO dumbass thats wrong.

  • @0STREET0

you can join the SAS whenever. it's whether you pass the training or not.

  • @0STREET0 that is not true, when people do the special forces training course they try out for either but because less make SAS than commando's they have to wait a year before they can try again

  • @AchidMelch i was pretty sure that you cant retry it again unless medically discharged? but i might be wrong

  • @0STREET0 a step up from commandos is SAS... so usualy u have to be commando before joining SAS

  • @AmericaRulesCanada <----Americas number 1 COWARD!!!

  • @AmericaRulesCanada Fuck u mann america has the highest friendly fire rate with the most fags and also all you yanks are fucking trigger happy morons who have no morale.

  • @AmericaRulesCanada Hey everone this idiot wants me to watch a fake video of how aussies are gay. Heyy idiot this video was the biggest story in parliment last year it was made by a taliban member in kazakstan you stupid cow.

  • @AmericaRulesCanada Whatever you reckon Cough cough.

  • @MrMovie951 lol, i cant believe you typed out "reckon", you aussie hillbilly lol

  • @AmericaRulesCanada Ahhh, I hope you enjoy your life when your new neighbours Al-Kalifa and Bin Laden alongside Mohammed with their new mosque waking you up at 2am every morning.

Guess what buddy? America is about to be dicked hard by Muslims, ENJOY!

It makes a nice change from being fucked too hard by Israel for the last 60 years I guess...

  • @1027rsar they select SAS directly from Commando 1 (which is the full time unit)

  • Noob. SASR don't recruit only from 1 Commando only, which by the way is a reserve unit with a company and HQ in Sydney and a company in Melbourne. They recruit from across the army. 2 Commando is the full time unit, it was previously called 4 RAR until they changed the name this year.

  • @1027rsar mate i'm pretty sure you're the only one on here who actually KNOWS what they're talking about rather than thinks they know what they're talking about...

  • Are adgies 343-2 rifleman standard? Can they apply for commandos without doing army infantry training?

  • No they can't. And no they are not 343-2 trained. You need to have completed Infantry IET and also completed MAG-58 and 84mm quals to be 343-2.
