Is that an Aloe plant? The kind that you can break off and put the sap on a wound?

Yeah, it is, but I didn't know it could heal when (not if) I wound myself.

Wait till the plant gets bigger, then wound yourself (no, don't do that on second thought). Break off a small tip of one of the plants limbs and rub the sap on the wound. It is helpful for minor cuts, burns and irritations.
