guys, i have seriously thought of a career in musical theatre but the problem is that my parents don't seem to like it as much as i do. i've wanted to go to a musical theatre workshop but my dad says "its expensive" when it really isn't. my mom says that they always say bad things about actors. i really love musical theatre and don't know what to do. can i get you're opinions please.

I'm saying this because she's a terrific example of what you'd like to become. My advice is to explain to your parents why you'd like to do this, and why it's so important to you. Be sure to hear their say in the matter as well...after all, they care for you! Your dad doesn't want to spoil you,

Hey, Lea was a valedictorian in elementary and high school. She too could have graduated from Ateneo University with flying colors had she not auditioned for Miss Saigon in 1989.
