  • He kinda reminds me Jim Adkins (from Jimmy Eat World)... :)

  • it is the perfect love song...that let me feel happy and sad at the same time.

  • Man they sound GOOD live.....fucking tight.

  • I saw GLB twice after Jubilee came out. At Park West in Chicago, the whole band came out afterwards and chatted with every last fan who hung around. A bunch of really generous & sweet guys. Sadly, I don't put on my GLB albums as much as I used to, but there is always a special place in my heart reserved for them.

  • This song has been with me since my college days in the Philippines and it's still one of my favorites.

  • I think the music was ahead of it's time. Fricking Emo kids would have love him! Seen them live in 90s in Lexington KY with REM

  • GLB has no idea how very awesome they are....and how happy they make me ......sigh.

  • honestly, one of the best voices ive heard. Grant Lee Buffalo brings back memories of my early childhood. i finally got to go see Grant Lee Phillips play in a small place in northern Virginia

  • Saw these guys at the Powerstation in Auckland in the mid 1990's and was blown away. They played support for REM the following night at a big outdoor venue and Mike Stipe described them as a band that had "hung the moon". A very special group.

  • "Truly, truly, truly I want you. Truly, truly, truly I do..." #zomermeisje

  • Genialt!!

  • alwyas liked this song.. he does say truly a bit too many times though.. maybe if he switched it up a bit.

  • that song brings back some nice memories

  • GLB one of the best band of the 90s. Grant-Lee is a genius songwriter.

  • wut happened to these guys?

  • They are still active, playing at the Parken festival in Bodø, Norway, in about two months.

  • always thought (never do I ...) he said made me thnk a bout glass...don no y?

  • I remeber when I got a copy of this song on a CMJ magazine disc. ......yeah alot of memories... Jeanne P. where are you now?

  • when did Paul left GLB?

  • Great memories of a lost love! This song reminds me of those hot innocent summers with her.

  • I just love this song... all the bitter sweet memories!

  • Grant is a way better than Buckley, and you ae talking to someone who digs Blind Faith, Steve Winwood, Syd Barret. Why does Buckley bore so?? I don't get it-I much prefer the Faces Grant has a much better voice, and his song writing skills are better, and so are his lyrics. I love Grant, but after I hear a bunch of songs I listen to something else. He is like the Black Crowes or CSN -the have poetic license to do any new stuff-and it all full of goodness and merit 'cause it';s them-dig?

  • sweet guitat. 334 or somethin'...nice performance.

  • great song...

  • SAssy jam!

  • I think they lost alot of there experimental approach when Paul left. Jubilee was a lighter more radio friendly style. Maybe a less concious effort than the other three albums. It's a good thing in alot of ways I suppose.

  • They are one of the few bands that sound as great live as they do in a studio.

  • That's very true. The man with the golden voice

  • agree with engamann, only that I'm not coming back to norway from the us before june, arrgh. I grew up with his music, kind of. That album is my favorite too, and Truly Truly is my favorite song! They are brilliant!

  • Thank God Grant-Lee`s still touring!

In the end of april his coming to Oslo, Norway. Hopefully he`ll play some of the great songs he did with "Buffalo" ;o)

I haven`t got all of his albums I`m afraid (only 7), but I really think he`s a fantastic artist!

Welcome to Norway in a couple of weeks Mr.Phillips, I really look forward to it ;-)

  • ya know, i heard this song on the radio in '98 in greensboro, nc. bought the disc and fell in love with this band(totally unknown to anyone i know) it's great to see others out there appreciate 'em as much as I do. Wish they still made music and toured the US.

  • This is shiver music!! It is so damn good that it makes you shiver. Is there any better written music. Why the f**k is this band not the biggest in the world? I had the pleasure of seeing Grant here in my hometown for free and boy did he bring the goods!!! Thanks!

  • Agreed! There is a big difference between poetry & art (the pure form) as apposed to a fame junkies corrosive success. Phillips is a real storyteller with a voice to carry it. A slow burner on high rotation :)

  • This song has stayed in my memory since it came out and i can't shake it

  • I agree. It's tied to good memories in a great town I used to live during the peak of my life.

  • Ok, I see, me sorry, your comment could of been misread inmany ways!

  • Wow, I thought I was th eonl one who wwent crazy over Grants voice. Isnt it amazing, one in a million. Im jealous of his wife, If I was his wife I would make him sing me to sleep every night.......man a girl can dream cant she...:-)

  • Grant Lee, Jeff Buckley, Enigma, Sarah McLachlan......yawn.....I need a nap.

  • Let me guess, your wither a rap or metallica fan. This is real music. DOnt hate until youve hear all his stuff, its not all slow. Grant is amazingly talanted, and by the way Jeff Buckly had more talent in his pinky finger than you could ever dream of.

  • Actually.....I was just expanding on your "sing me to sleep every night" comment. Those are the artists that are loaded into my pod for nightime.....And Jeff Buckley had more talent in a single strand of hair than 99.5% of the artists on the planet have in their entire bodies. He's #1 in my book.

  • Most GLB fans like Fuzzy and Mighty Joe Moon the most but I prefer Jubilee over any of the 4 albums. This song, Superslomotion and APB are great. I think this version loses a bit when sung slow like this. But I play it 10 times a day. Thank God for YouTube.

  • I think you have a good point. Although e.g. Fuzzy contains classic songs, Jubilee exhibits high quality across the whole album, in which there is never far between the good songs.

  • The great thing about Jubilee is, its titled perfectly. The album is just so.. well jubilant.

  • Such a SEXY Ian McCulloch style voice. Sadly underrated artist. Thanks for putting this up!

  • Ian McCulloch!!?? Seriously?

  • Really...where is the connection? They sound ZERO alike- lol..

  • ooh Love this song, isn't that the town troubadour from Gilmore Girls??

  • no, the troubador from the Gilmour Girls is the legendary lead singer of the band Grant Lee Buffalo.

    ;-)

  • such a lame show with such a musician

  • greatest band ever!

  • Ouch! That got a little abrasive.

  • if you're talikng about glb then fuck you you fuckin talentless fuckwit piece of dogshit maggot faced jerkoff moronic asshole scumbag cunt

  • Love it! Thank you!

  • Thanks

  • Oh my God!

    He is simply perfect... *-*

    I Love this song!

  • grants one of the best voices ive ever heard the first two albums are classics

  • God, I adore this song!
