what is all this talk about andy? some of there best stuff came after andy, skin trade, serious, ordinary world, come undone, andy is not essential to making duran duran a great band
love the bass...had tix for show at Barrymore theatre...stagehands on strike-couldn't make rescheduled show...any ideas when this band will be in the New York/New Jersey area soon???Thanks..
i aint gonna lie ....falling down is better than nite runner. the melody on this song sounds like some bullshit i couldve did on the keyboards out of boredom. Timbaland screwed this one up and Im black.
Comon you guys. You gott abe able to hear the difference between this version and the studio version? I admit, the studio Timbalake tainted vesion sux, but on this one all you hear is Duran Duran.
i admit i see the difference and your point but still the song is not that good i wouldnt wanna be in a band and go this is our new song and it sounds like this....btw i do like them not this one john taylor looks stoned
I think "hip/hop" frankly is a noxious contagion in the music industry that has corrupted the purity of Duran Duran. Hopefully their next album will be sans this ignoble "trend." Hip/hop is to music as Etch-a-Sketch is to art. Period.
To this day, many people mistakenly think alot of Andy's guitar riffs are actually Nick's keyboards. And they are wrong. Andy has a very special gift in terms of bringing out a melody in a song...I suspect he may have even influenced Nick's keyboard playing, not the other way around. In other words, I think Nick was often following tracks that Andy already laid to track.
Amended: Actually for those who don't know, Andy Taylor played a major role in the group in regard to shaping the sound of the group. Many of the melodic sounds on early Duran Duran hooks were Andy and Nick Rhodes blending their instruments. Songs like Rio and Planet Earth featured Andy and Nick blending guitar and keyboard to form the sound of the song melodies. And Andy was lead on the melody on Hungry Like The Wolf!!!
I love the song "Come Undone", especially the atmospherics by way of the underwater sound effects on the guitar. It is truly one of the better latter day Duran Duran songs...one that never seems to stop playing on radio. In many ways it's a sequel to "Ordinary World"...about surviving on your own...or attempting to, despite being undermined by forces you can't control.

Why haven't I heard this single on the local radios in Chile? Why do I have to know about this on youtube?Hum...I have to get used to this new sound. I know that Timbaland was working with the Hives, too...Hum, well, at least Timbaland likes playing with different styles which speaks about his openminded way of thinking.
the mp3 version it has obviously a much better sound... But it seem to me still a bit unfinished. I miss interludes... and more guitar...but I dont think it is a bad song at all.
We need to remember DD is popular Now and they need to release a great ballad or a great song to dance to.I'm a dedicated fan and all dedicated fans love all their songs. When they don't get the first release right we get left with a mild hit such as sunrise no matter how many potential hits are on the CD.Yes You do play Fuckn Good Bass on this!!This song aint a hit!!!
im a dd fan & i must say im not sure about nite runner, seems a pretty drab song, its a woory, ill give a go & listen a few times, see if it grows on me ??????
First the vanity - MMMMmmmmmnnnn JOHN. Lots of good shots of John in this one. Second - the song. I keep listening and listening and I have to say, it's growing on me. It probably doesn't sound at all the way it may on the album (more PRODUCED by the "producer du jour" Timbaland.) Case in point: I just listened to a recording from Costa Mesa,CA in July 2003 of Sunrise and it sounds terrible. But listen to it on the Live from London and it's worlds better! Give it time everyone.
i was intially unpleasantly surprised about the song...sounded too much a justin timberlake song than a duran duran song. But after a few listens i must say that like the song more and more. Especially the bass line is irresistable.... still not sure whether i really like it that much...but it aint bad either
I don't know what everybody is talking about. This is what happens when Timbaland/Timberlake work with Duran Duran. You know ... the ones that can easily make it on MTV. ... No what do you think a DD song will do when its got Timbaland/Timberlake in it? ... PLUS! ... This and the track they played before the show might not even be the final way it is going to be. ... I can already imagine DD being Live on TV with Timbaland/Timberlake on MTV. ... MTV!!!!!!
I've been thinking the same thing - MTV!!! I mean, when MTV gives you a Lifetime Achievement Award, does it really mean your relegated only to VH1? Maybe, but then you work with arguably the most bankable producer currently putting out tracks? They will be on MTV for sure. Hoping it's just not some random news clip!
Hi. Do you have a source for this information? There's nothing at the band's site and I can't find anything else on it except from your post here. Thanks.

I already like the song, but remember Justin Timberlake will be the vocals for some parts of it on the recorded track. I remember seeing Sunrise performed live before it was released. I didn't like it either until the recorded track came out. I'm sure the recorded track of this song is much better.
that is awful. If this is song chosen to put their best foot forward, then this is going to be a massive flop.

Haha, exactly. Timbaland is one of the best producers in the game right now, if not ever (with Dr. Dre right there, but not lately). They can't create the magic he creates in the studio with Danja.
I agree give the song a chance Duran has a all new market out there they have to sell to also and Duran has blended their orignal sound with a new one.
Im a huge duran fan since 1981 so dont slam me but man i want girls on film part 2 ... or electric barberlla revisted ... ... im not diggin this direction at all ... sounds kinda forced, hollow and not very fluent... I'll always support this band but this might be tricky !
The more times i listen to this song, the better it gets... And this is only the live version, badly recorded and not with Justin Timberlake... So I think the studio version will kick some bad ass!! Duran Duran rules.. Styles change, Style doesn't.
I, in turn, shall continue to leave asinine comments to individuals like you, who are quick to let rumour and wild speculation register in the mind as fact and whose pompously smug statements are typical of a complete + utter moron. I say to you sir that the invective and ridicule I throw your way is very well earned and well deserved.
What's with all the negativity? From a fan who flew a couple of thousand miles to see the concert, it was well worth it. The new music sounds promising (I really like The Valley). Yes, there were a few minor problems in the concert but all in all it was a great experience and Simon's voice was on the money. Thank you to whoever recorded this and to camsixteen for posting it. I'm certainly enjoying this song!
Speaking as an "typical" American, and a fan since 1981, I don't think anyone (outside of the band) really knows why Andy left. This song is hot and will be a hit because it makes women wet. Can't you hear them all having orgasms in the audience??? Yet a another triumph for Duran!!! All haters can shove your attitudes up your arses and fuck off while you're doin' it!
if you have justin timberlake's future/sex/love sound album, listen to the title track...i ADORE duran duran, and love justin, but nite runner and future sound too similar. i still have high hopes for my fav band of all time.

Andy Taylor left as they once had the potential to be a great band but the other's egos are too big and well suited to a partnership with a plastic star like JT. So the wrong direction...

There is a huge difference between this awesome raw live version and the S**TY studio version. This one is very good for 3 reasons.
1. No Justin Timbalke vocals to ruin it.
2. No stupid Timbalake hip hop effects.
3. You can really hear the Duran Duran influence.
