Maybe they do. I saw another video where the guy is playing a washboard and the lady singer is barefoot (it seemed) and dancing in a Southern folksy way (not step-dancing). I was once on the Isle of Lewis (Scotland) where they speak Gaelic as well, and I heard Cajun music on the radio there. It gets around.

Maybe. Not sure if the singer is Cajun himself, but as for the band members, your guess is as good as mine. I'm a War between the States buff, and there were more Irish in Louisiana than any other southern state, so anything is possible.

Of course, a lot of good Cajuns have a touch of Irish. I suppose most of the Irish in Louisiana were in the Northern half. But have you ever heard the Irish song about Louisiana called "The Lakes of Ponchartrain"? It's great. I meant only that this band is Irish, but (Maimin Cajun Band) was probably influenced by Cajun music from La Belle Louisiane. I'm a historian, and prefer ancient and European history, but I'm Dixie through and through, man.
