Glad to hear this. This is an arrangement by Joe Haymes, a well respected swing band leader and arranger in the 30s, who spent some time on the Welk staff. Joe's papers are now in the Library of Congress, including several of his charts for Welk.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the great clips you have posted of Jack Martin with the Welk orchestra. He was my stepfather. After his period with Welk, he had several long running gigs including 14 years at Disneyland leading his own dixieland band (the Pearly Band). Prior to Welk, he played with Kay Kyser for many years and even sang the lead vocal on the the #1 single "Strip Polka". Anyway, thank you for keeping his memory alive.
